📖 WHAT MUST I DO BEFORE GOD WILL ANSWER MY PRAYERS?

Not too long ago, someone asked me a question that initially caught me off guard. He simply wanted clarification. He asked:

"Is there something that I need to do before God will answer my prayers?"

The short answer is: Yes—and no.

God hears every cry, every whisper, and every tear. However, Scripture teaches that there are certain attitudes and conditions of the heart that affect our fellowship with Him and, consequently, our prayers.

✅ We must come to God in faith (Hebrews 11:6).
✅ We must come with a forgiving spirit (Mark 11:25).
✅ We should confess known sin and seek a clean heart (Psalm 66:18; 1 John 1:9).
✅ We should pray according to God's will (1 John 5:14-15).
✅ We should be willing to obey what God reveals to us (John 14:15).

Prayer is not a magic formula, a lucky charm, or a spiritual vending machine. Prayer is a relationship between a loving Father and His children.

Sometimes God says "Yes."
Sometimes He says "No."
Sometimes He says "Wait."

But God always hears the sincere heart that seeks Him.

If you're waiting on an answer today, don't quit praying. Keep seeking. Keep believing. Keep trusting. The God who heard you yesterday still hears you today.
