🙏 When God Says No: Is It Wrong to Ask “Why?”

We’ve all been there. We prayed. We believed. We trusted. Yet the answer we hoped for never came. In those moments, a question rises from deep within the heart: “Why, Lord?”

Is it wrong to ask God why?

No—it’s not wrong. It’s human.

Throughout Scripture, faithful men and women asked God “why.” David cried out in the Psalms. Job questioned in his suffering. Even Jesus, on the cross, said, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” These were not acts of rebellion, but expressions of relationship.

God is not afraid of your questions. He welcomes your honesty.

But here is the key: there is a difference between asking “why” in faith and asking “why” in doubt. One seeks understanding while still trusting. The other questions God’s character.

Sometimes God’s answer is “no.” Sometimes it is “not yet.” And sometimes, it is “I have something better.” What we must remember is this: God sees what we cannot see. His perspective is eternal, while ours is momentary.

What feels like denial may actually be protection.
What feels like silence may actually be preparation.
What feels like loss may actually be redirection.

Faith is not proven when the answer is yes—it is revealed when the answer is no, and we still trust Him.

So ask your questions. Pour out your heart. But anchor your soul in this truth: God is good, even when life is not. His love has not changed. His plan has not failed.

And in time—whether in this life or the next—He will make all things clear.

Until then… trust Him.

A World on Edge: The Cost Today vs. The Consequences Tomorrow

Since the first bomb was dropped on Iran on February 28, 2026, the ripple effects have been felt across the global economy. Markets reacted immediately. Oil prices surged. Supply chains tightened. Uncertainty spread.

In the United States, families are feeling it at the gas pump and the grocery store. Rising fuel costs have driven up transportation and food prices. Inflation pressures have intensified, and businesses—especially small ones—are being forced to make difficult decisions just to stay afloat.

In the Philippines, the impact is even more personal. As a nation heavily dependent on imported fuel and goods, we have felt the price increases hit hard. Transportation costs have risen, affecting daily workers. Food prices have climbed, placing added strain on already stretched households. For many, it’s not just inconvenience—it’s survival.

The question many are asking is: Was it the right decision?

But perhaps the better question is this:

What would the world look like four months from now if Iran had successfully completed a nuclear weapon?

Would the cost be greater? Would the threat be multiplied? Would the stability of entire regions—and the safety of millions—be at even greater risk?

These are not easy questions, and they do not come with simple answers. But they remind us of this truth: we are living in a fragile world where decisions carry consequences—both seen and unseen.

Now more than ever, we must pray—for wisdom, for peace, for leaders, and for the people caught in the middle of it all.

Let us not only observe the times but respond with faith, compassion, and action.

Before You Were Born: When Does Life Begin?

📖 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee…” — Jeremiah 1:5

One of the most debated questions in our world today is this: When does life begin?

Scripture gives us a clear and powerful answer—life begins with God.

Before there was a heartbeat… before there was form… before there was even awareness—there was identity in the mind of God. Jeremiah 1:5 reveals that God not only creates life but also knows it, calls it, and assigns it a purpose before it ever enters the world.

Life does not begin when it is convenient, visible, or acknowledged by society. Life begins when God, the Author of life, speaks it into existence.

Psalm 139 echoes this truth: “You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” This is not accidental life. This is intentional design.

You are not random. You are not a mistake. You are not here by chance.

You were known before you were formed.
You were loved before you were seen.
You were purposed before you were born.

This truth should shape not only how we see ourselves—but how we value every human life.

In a culture that debates worth, God declares value.
In a world that questions beginnings, God establishes identity.
In a time of confusion, God speaks with clarity.

Life begins with Him—and because of that, every life matters.

If this message has spoken to your heart, we invite you to learn more and stand with us as we share truth, hope, and the Gospel around the world.

Good Morning — A New Day, A Fresh Grace

As we begin this Sunday, April 12, 2026, remember this simple but powerful truth:

Today is not just another day—it is a gift.

A fresh opportunity to walk closer with God, to realign your heart, and to step into His purpose for your life. Yesterday is behind you. The mistakes, the worries, the unanswered questions—they do not define this day.

God’s mercies are new this morning.

No matter what you face today, you do not face it alone. The same God who carried you yesterday is already ahead of you today—making a way, opening doors, and strengthening you for whatever lies ahead.

So take a moment… breathe… and place this day into His hands.

🙏 Let’s Pray Together:

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts for the gift of this new day. Thank You for life, for breath, and for another opportunity to draw closer to You.

Lord, guide our steps today. Guard our hearts and minds. Give us wisdom in every decision, peace in every situation, and strength for every challenge.

Help us to walk in love, to speak with grace, and to reflect Your light in everything we do. When we feel weak, remind us that You are our strength. When we feel uncertain, remind us that You are our guide.

Bless every person reading this today. Meet them right where they are. Provide for their needs, heal what is broken, and restore what has been lost.

And above all, Lord, keep us mindful of You in every moment.

We give this day to You—fully and completely.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

👉 Visit: pomitaly.homestead.com

Closing Thought:
Walk into this day with faith, not fear—God is already there waiting for you.

Was Jesus Born Saved? And How Did He Walk in Victory?

These are questions many quietly wrestle with: Was Jesus born saved? And if He lived as a man anointed by God, how did He walk in victory?

First—Jesus was not “born saved” in the way fallen humanity needs salvation. He is the sinless Son of God (Luke 1:35). Salvation is for the guilty; Jesus was never guilty. He did not need redemption—He is our Redeemer.

Now the deeper question: How did He walk in victory as a man?

Scripture shows us clearly. Jesus lived as the perfect man in complete dependence upon the Father, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

📖 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…” (Luke 4:18)
📖 “The Son can do nothing of Himself…” (John 5:19)

He did not operate independently, but in submission, obedience, and faith. His victory was not self-willed—it was God-directed.

So what was His pattern?

👉 He trusted the Father completely
👉 He obeyed the Word without compromise
👉 He relied on the Holy Spirit continually
👉 He rejected sin and temptation through truth (Matthew 4)
👉 And ultimately—He embraced the Cross

Here is the key: Jesus’ victory was secured at the Cross, and that same Cross is the believer’s victory.

We do not overcome by our strength, intellect, or effort. We overcome by faith in what Christ finished at Calvary.

📖 “God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross…” (Galatians 6:14)

Jesus showed us how to live—but He also provided what we could never produce: redemption, righteousness, and power through His sacrifice.

Victory is not achieved—it is received.

So how do we walk as He walked?

➡️ Keep your faith anchored in the Cross
➡️ Depend on the Holy Spirit daily
➡️ Walk in obedience to God’s Word
➡️ Trust the Father in all things

The same Spirit that empowered Him now dwells in every believer.

And because of the Cross—you don’t fight for victory… you live from victory.

✍️ ABOUT THE AUTHOR: JAMES LANGSTON ✍️

James Langston is a man whose life cannot be summed up by a single title. He is a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, senior pastor, and United States Navy veteran—each role shaping the message he carries and the words he writes.

At the center of it all is his unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ.

A Life Anchored in Faith

Before he ever wrote a book or stood behind a pulpit, James Langston was a man learning what it meant to trust God in real life. His journey of faith was not formed in comfort, but in the everyday realities of responsibility, sacrifice, and perseverance.

His writing reflects that reality. It is not distant or theoretical—it is personal, practical, and deeply rooted in Scripture. He speaks to the questions many wrestle with but often hesitate to ask, offering answers grounded in the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

A Husband, Father, and Grandfather

James is first a family man.

As a devoted husband, he understands the strength of covenant and the daily choice to love, honor, and remain faithful through every season. As a father, he has walked the path of responsibility, guidance, and sacrifice. As a grandfather, he carries a deep sense of legacy—desiring to pass down not just memories, but faith that endures.

These roles are not separate from his ministry—they are the foundation of it.

A Veteran Who Understands Sacrifice

James Langston served 27 years in the United States Navy, a journey that took him across nations and cultures, exposing him to both the beauty and brokenness of the world.

Military life instilled in him discipline, endurance, and a deep understanding of commitment—qualities that continue to shape his ministry today. He knows what it means to serve something greater than himself, and that same mindset now fuels his calling in the Kingdom of God.

A Pastor with a Global Vision

Today, James serves as the Senior Pastor of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, a ministry committed to reaching the lost, strengthening believers, and serving communities in need—particularly in the Philippines and beyond.

His mission is clear:
To preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of people wherever God opens the door.

Through outreach, teaching, and missions, he continues to live out the call found in Mark 16:15—“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

An Author with a Purpose

James Langston’s books are an extension of his heart.

He writes to:
• Encourage those who feel overwhelmed by life
• Challenge believers to live authentically for Christ
• Provide biblical clarity in a culture filled with confusion
• Point readers back to truth, hope, and eternal purpose

His works are marked by a direct, honest, and compassionate tone, often addressing difficult topics with both conviction and grace.

For James, writing is not about recognition—it is about impact.

The Heart Behind the Name

Behind every sermon, every book, and every outreach effort is a simple but powerful desire:

To see lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ.

James Langston does not claim perfection. Instead, he offers something far more valuable—authenticity. He writes and ministers as someone who has lived, struggled, learned, and grown, and who continues to walk daily in dependence on God.

A Life Message That Endures

If his life could be summed up in one statement, it would be this:

Faith is not just something you say—it is something you live, every single day.

Final Reflection:
James Langston’s story is still being written—not just in books, but in lives touched, hearts changed, and souls reached for the Kingdom of God.

🌍 AFTER THE RAPTURE: WHAT COMES NEXT? 🌍

📖 “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds…” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

A Moment That Changes Everything

There is coming a moment—unannounced, unmistakable, and irreversible—when Jesus Christ will call His Church home. Scripture describes it with urgency and certainty. It will not be gradual. It will not be symbolic. It will be sudden.

In the twinkling of an eye, millions will vanish.

Believers from every nation, every background, and every walk of life will be caught up to meet the Lord. Graves will open. The faithful will rise. And in a moment that defies human explanation, the Church will be gone.

For those who remain, the world will be thrust into a reality it has never known.

The Immediate Aftermath: Global Shock and Chaos

Imagine the confusion:
Planes falling from the sky because pilots have disappeared.
Vehicles careening off roads without drivers.
Hospitals missing critical staff.
Homes with children left behind… or parents suddenly gone.

This will not be isolated—it will be global.

Panic will spread rapidly. Emergency systems will be overwhelmed. Communication networks will struggle to keep up with the sheer scale of the event. Fear will grip hearts as people search desperately for answers.

Families will be torn apart in an instant. Questions will echo everywhere: “What just happened?” “Where did they go?”

The World’s Response: Searching Without Truth

Governments, scientists, and global leaders will scramble to provide explanations. There will be investigations, emergency summits, and coordinated efforts to restore order.

The media will offer theories:
• Natural phenomena
• Extraterrestrial involvement
• Technological anomalies
• Mass psychological events

But the one explanation many will resist is the truth—that what has occurred is exactly what the Bible foretold.

Why? Because accepting that truth requires acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord.

A Shift in Power: The Rise of a New Order

In the wake of chaos, the world will cry out for stability. Out of that desperation, new leadership will emerge—promising peace, unity, and solutions to the global crisis.

What begins as reassurance will evolve into control.

Systems will be established to regulate commerce, movement, and identity. A new global framework will take shape, offering safety in exchange for submission.

Scripture warns that deception will increase. What appears to be the answer to humanity’s problems will, in reality, draw people further away from God.

The Spiritual Reality: A Time of Great Deception

The absence of the Church will remove a powerful spiritual influence from the earth. Darkness will not hesitate to fill that void.

Truth will be redefined.
Morality will be reshaped.
Faith will be tested like never before.

Yet even in that time, God’s mercy will not cease. There will still be opportunities to turn to Him—but they will come at a great cost.

The Purpose of This Message: Not Fear, But Readiness

This message is not given to frighten—it is given to prepare.

The Rapture is not just a prophetic event; it is a personal reality waiting to unfold. The question is not whether it will happen, but whether we will be ready when it does.

Jesus Himself warned us to watch, to be vigilant, and to live with expectation.

What Should We Do Now?

1. Examine Your Heart
Do not assume readiness—be certain. A relationship with Jesus Christ is not inherited or implied; it is personal and intentional.

2. Live with Urgency
Time is not guaranteed. Each day is an opportunity to walk in obedience, faith, and purpose.

3. Share the Gospel
There are people in your life who need to hear the truth. Silence is not an option when eternity is at stake.

4. Stay Anchored in the Word
In a world full of shifting opinions, God’s Word remains unchanging. Let it guide your life.

The Final Question

When that moment comes—and it will—
Where will you be?

Will you be among those caught up to meet the Lord?
Or among those left searching for answers?

Now is the time. Not later. Not someday. Now.

Closing Thought:
The world will be shaken—but those who belong to Christ will be secure. Make sure you are ready.

📌 Question of the Week — April 3, 2026

From: Ricky, 14 — Exeter, Rhode Island

Question:
“Hi Pastor James. This is my first time writing you. My parents say I’m often too direct in my questions. I don’t see anything wrong with that, but maybe they’re right. Anyway, here’s my question: How do I trust God when my prayers go unanswered?”

Response:
Ricky, thank you for asking a question so many feel—but few are willing to voice.

Few things challenge our faith more than silence. When we cry out to God—asking for healing, provision, restoration, or justice—and Heaven seems quiet, it can leave us wondering: Can I still trust Him?

Many wrestle with this. Some even walk away from faith because of it. The reasoning is simple: If God is good and powerful, why wouldn’t He answer sincere prayers? But beneath that question is something deeper—pain, longing, and a desire to know that God is near.

Trusting God in silence is one of the greatest tests of faith. It calls us to believe not just in what God can do, but in who He is.

God’s delays are not His denials. His silence is not His absence.

Even when we don’t understand, He is still working—shaping, refining, and preparing something greater than we can see. What feels like “no answer” today may become tomorrow’s testimony.

Hold on. Keep praying. Keep trusting.

📌 Question of the Week — March 24, 2026

From: Sharon, 18 — Bear, Delaware

Question:
“Pastor James, I was saved two years ago while watching a youth service online. When the speaker asked if anyone felt alone and without purpose, I raised my hand in my room and prayed along. In that moment, I was born again! I’m still learning, but my question is: When life hurts, can I still trust God?

Response:
Sharon, welcome to the family of God—the greatest family on earth! And thank you for asking a question so many carry but few voice.

Pain has a way of shaking us. When life breaks, when grief overwhelms, when nothing makes sense—trusting God can feel incredibly difficult. This isn’t just a theological question; it’s deeply personal.

Here is the truth: God never asked you to walk through pain alone. His Word is a lamp in your darkest moments. His Spirit is your comfort in chaos. And Jesus Christ is the ultimate proof that God understands suffering and still loves you completely.

Trust is not the absence of pain—it is choosing to place your pain in God’s hands even when you don’t understand. Life will hurt, but God is still good. He has a way of turning even our deepest wounds into testimonies of healing, redemption, and hope.

In Christ, you can trust again—even when it hurts.

🔥 Get Right, Church — The Question Is Coming 🔥

📖 Inspired by Matthew 13:1–23

Jesus called us the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world.” That is not a title—it’s a responsibility. Salt preserves. Light exposes darkness. We are called to influence, not blend in.

So let’s be honest—no filters, no excuses:

Are you living a life that truly glorifies God?
Or are you excusing what you know needs to change?

Are you living each day as if Jesus could return at any moment?
Have you ever led someone to Christ?

Do you love Jesus… or just feel comfortable with Him?
Do you stand for His name—or stay silent to avoid offense?

Do you identify more with this world… or with Him?

These questions may feel strong—but they are nothing compared to the one you will answer:

“What did you do with and for Me?”

That day is coming. Not imagined. Not symbolic. Real.

This is not the time for casual Christianity.
This is the hour to live boldly, love deeply, and stand unashamed.

Get right, Church. Jesus is coming soon.

🌍 When Nations Collide: Is God Aligning the World for What’s Next?

Recent developments in the Middle East have shaken the global stage. Reports of coordinated airstrikes, retaliatory missile attacks, and rising regional tension have caused many to pause and ask: What is really happening? And more importantly, what does this mean in light of God’s Word?

Scripture reminds us that nations do not rise and fall randomly. There is a divine timeline—one that unfolds according to God’s sovereign will.

And He changes the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings…” — Daniel 2:21

Could what we are witnessing be part of a larger alignment of nations? The Bible speaks repeatedly of shifting alliances, rising conflicts, and a convergence of global powers in the last days. While we must be careful not to rush to conclusions, we also cannot ignore the patterns unfolding before our eyes.

Questions many are now asking:
• Is there an end in sight—or just the beginning of greater unrest?
• Will this conflict reshape the political and spiritual landscape of the Middle East?
• Are we witnessing the early stages of prophetic fulfillment?
• What is the ultimate end goal—and who is truly in control?

History shows that moments like these often redefine regions, redraw alliances, and alter the course of nations. Yet above it all, one truth remains unshaken: God is still on the throne.

For the believer, this is not a time for fear—but for awareness, prayer, and readiness. For the world, it is a moment of uncertainty. But for those who know the Word, it is a reminder that nothing catches God by surprise.

Now more than ever, we must watch, pray, and remain grounded in truth.

✝️ “Why, God?” — Trusting Him When You Don’t Understand | Mark 15:34

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” — Mark 15:34

There are moments in life when the weight of pain, confusion, or silence causes us to cry out, “Why, God?”

If we are honest, we have all been there.

Even Jesus, in His humanity, voiced that cry from the cross. That alone should remind us: it is not wrong to ask God why.

But where we must be careful is not in the question—but in the condition of our heart when we ask it.

Do we ask in humility… or accusation?
In faith… or frustration?
With reverence… or resistance?

God is not offended by sincere questions, but He is concerned with our posture. A heart that still trusts Him—even when it doesn’t understand Him—is a heart that pleases Him.

There will be times when God answers.
And there will be times when He is silent.

Not because He doesn’t care… but because He sees what we cannot see. His wisdom is higher, His timing is perfect, and His purposes are eternal.

Faith is not blind—it is confident trust in a God who knows best.

Life becomes much lighter when we stop demanding explanations and start resting in His sovereignty. Like a child who may not understand the parent’s decisions—but trusts their love—we are called to trust God the same way.

✨ Today’s Reminder:
You may not understand what God is doing… but you can trust who He is.

📌 Question of the Week — Why Does God Allow Evil?

From: Sherry, 17 — Sandpoint, Idaho

“Hi, Pastor James… Why does God allow evil? If He could stop it, why doesn’t He?”

Sherry, thank you for asking what so many feel—but few say out loud.

God did not create us as robots. He created us with the ability to choose. And with that freedom comes both the possibility of love… and the reality of evil.

Love that is forced is not love at all.
Obedience without choice is not righteousness—it’s programming.

From the very beginning, humanity was given a choice: God’s way or our own. Sadly, many choose paths that lead to brokenness, injustice, and pain. What we see in the world today is not a failure of God—but the result of humanity turning away from Him.

But here is the hope we must hold onto:

God sees. God knows. And God will act.

There is coming a day when evil, suffering, and death will be completely removed. Justice will prevail. Healing will come. And what is broken will be made whole.

Until then, we live in the tension of a fallen world—but with a risen Savior.

So perhaps the deeper question is not just:
“Why does God allow evil?”

But rather:
“What will I do in response to it?”

Will I become bitter… or better?
Will I contribute to the darkness… or carry His light?

Because every act of kindness, truth, faith, and love pushes back against the darkness.

Sherry—and everyone reading this—you matter. Your choices matter. And your light can shine brighter than you realize.

The Question That Determines Eternity

Can God condemn a man to hell, burn him there forever, and justify Himself in doing so?

This question has troubled the hearts of many people. Some reject the idea entirely, believing a loving God could never allow such a thing. Others dismiss the subject altogether and choose not to think about eternity.

But here is the reality: what a person believes outside of the truth of Scripture carries no weight in eternity. Our opinions, philosophies, and personal beliefs will not determine what happens after death. Only God’s truth will.

The Bible consistently teaches that God is both perfectly loving and perfectly just. Hell is not presented as a place God delights in sending people, but as the ultimate consequence of rejecting Him and the salvation He offers through Jesus Christ.

The sobering truth is that eternity does not hinge on our feelings about God—it hinges on whether we accept or reject the one name given for salvation: Jesus Christ.

So let me ask you a serious question:

Are you so certain that death leads only to emptiness—or something other than what the Bible teaches—that you are willing to bet your eternity on it?

Eternity is far too important to ignore.

Research the Scriptures. Ask questions. Seek the truth. Make sure you know the answer to the most important question any person will ever face:

Where will you spend eternity?

Question of the Week
📌 March 12, 2026

From: Kendall, 15 — Nome, Alaska

Question:
Hi Pastor James. I’m Kendall, and I have a question.

If God is good, why does He allow suffering? My grandparents died last year, and it hurts every time I think about them. Why didn’t God spare their lives, or at least delay their deaths until I was older? I’m really confused right now and could use some sound advice.

Response:
Hi Kendall. Thank you for asking a question that many people—young and old—quietly carry in their hearts.

When we experience loss, it can feel overwhelming because we see life through the lens of the present moment. God, however, sees life through the lens of eternity. What feels sudden and painful to us is not outside His understanding or His care.

Suffering is one of the most difficult realities of life, yet throughout Scripture we see that God often uses it to shape hearts, deepen faith, and draw people closer to Him. Pain has a way of stripping away our sense of control and reminding us how deeply we need God.

That doesn’t mean God delights in suffering. Far from it. The Bible shows us that God enters into our pain. He walks beside us in our grief, comforts us in our tears, and promises a future where sorrow and death will one day be no more.

Your love for your grandparents is a beautiful testimony of the bond you shared with them. Their passing does not erase the love, lessons, and memories they left in your life. In many ways, those gifts continue shaping who you are becoming.

The question, “If God is good, why does He allow suffering?” may not have a simple answer—but it does have a hopeful one: God never abandons us in our pain. He uses even the hardest moments to draw us closer to Him and to remind us that this life is not the end of the story.

Your future is not uncertain to God. He already sees the road ahead. Walk with Him today, and He will guide you tomorrow.
