🙏 When God Says No: Is It Wrong to Ask “Why?” We’ve all been there. We prayed. We believed. We trusted. Yet the answer we hoped for never came. In those moments, a question rises from deep within the heart: “Why, Lord?” Is it wrong to ask God why? No—it’s not wrong. It’s human. Throughout Scripture, faithful men and women asked God “why.” David cried out in the Psalms. Job questioned in his suffering. Even Jesus, on the cross, said, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” These were not acts of rebellion, but expressions of relationship. God is not afraid of your questions. He welcomes your honesty. But here is the key: there is a difference between asking “why” in faith and asking “why” in doubt. One seeks understanding while still trusting. The other questions God’s character. Sometimes God’s answer is “no.” Sometimes it is “not yet.” And sometimes, it is “I have something better.” What we must remember is this: God sees what we cannot see. His perspective is eter...

A World on Edge: The Cost Today vs. The Consequences Tomorrow Since the first bomb was dropped on Iran on February 28, 2026, the ripple effects have been felt across the global economy. Markets reacted immediately. Oil prices surged. Supply chains tightened. Uncertainty spread. In the United States, families are feeling it at the gas pump and the grocery store. Rising fuel costs have driven up transportation and food prices. Inflation pressures have intensified, and businesses—especially small ones—are being forced to make difficult decisions just to stay afloat. In the Philippines, the impact is even more personal. As a nation heavily dependent on imported fuel and goods, we have felt the price increases hit hard. Transportation costs have risen, affecting daily workers. Food prices have climbed, placing added strain on already stretched households. For many, it’s not just inconvenience—it’s survival. The question many are asking is: Was it the right decision? But perhaps the bet...

Before You Were Born: When Does Life Begin? 📖 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee…” — Jeremiah 1:5 One of the most debated questions in our world today is this: When does life begin? Scripture gives us a clear and powerful answer—life begins with God. Before there was a heartbeat… before there was form… before there was even awareness—there was identity in the mind of God. Jeremiah 1:5 reveals that God not only creates life but also knows it, calls it, and assigns it a purpose before it ever enters the world. Life does not begin when it is convenient, visible, or acknowledged by society. Life begins when God, the Author of life, speaks it into existence. Psalm 139 echoes this truth: “You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” This is not accidental life. This is intentional design. You are not random. You are not a mistake. You are not here by chance. You were known before you were formed. You were loved before you were seen. You were purposed before you were...

Was Jesus Born Saved? And How Did He Walk in Victory? These are questions many quietly wrestle with: Was Jesus born saved? And if He lived as a man anointed by God, how did He walk in victory? First—Jesus was not “born saved” in the way fallen humanity needs salvation. He is the sinless Son of God (Luke 1:35). Salvation is for the guilty; Jesus was never guilty. He did not need redemption—He is our Redeemer. Now the deeper question: How did He walk in victory as a man? Scripture shows us clearly. Jesus lived as the perfect man in complete dependence upon the Father, empowered by the Holy Spirit. 📖 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…” (Luke 4:18) 📖 “The Son can do nothing of Himself…” (John 5:19) He did not operate independently, but in submission, obedience, and faith. His victory was not self-willed—it was God-directed. So what was His pattern? 👉 He trusted the Father completely 👉 He obeyed the Word without compromise 👉 He relied on the Holy Spirit continually 👉 He r...

📌 Question of the Week — April 3, 2026 From: Ricky, 14 — Exeter, Rhode Island Question: “Hi Pastor James. This is my first time writing you. My parents say I’m often too direct in my questions. I don’t see anything wrong with that, but maybe they’re right. Anyway, here’s my question: How do I trust God when my prayers go unanswered?” Response: Ricky, thank you for asking a question so many feel—but few are willing to voice. Few things challenge our faith more than silence. When we cry out to God—asking for healing, provision, restoration, or justice—and Heaven seems quiet, it can leave us wondering: Can I still trust Him? Many wrestle with this. Some even walk away from faith because of it. The reasoning is simple: If God is good and powerful, why wouldn’t He answer sincere prayers? But beneath that question is something deeper—pain, longing, and a desire to know that God is near. Trusting God in silence is one of the greatest tests of faith. It calls us to believe not just i...

📌 Question of the Week — March 24, 2026 From: Sharon, 18 — Bear, Delaware Question: “Pastor James, I was saved two years ago while watching a youth service online. When the speaker asked if anyone felt alone and without purpose, I raised my hand in my room and prayed along. In that moment, I was born again! I’m still learning, but my question is: When life hurts, can I still trust God? ” Response: Sharon, welcome to the family of God—the greatest family on earth! And thank you for asking a question so many carry but few voice. Pain has a way of shaking us. When life breaks, when grief overwhelms, when nothing makes sense—trusting God can feel incredibly difficult. This isn’t just a theological question; it’s deeply personal. Here is the truth: God never asked you to walk through pain alone. His Word is a lamp in your darkest moments. His Spirit is your comfort in chaos. And Jesus Christ is the ultimate proof that God understands suffering and still loves you completely. Trust ...

🔥 Get Right, Church — The Question Is Coming 🔥 📖 Inspired by Matthew 13:1–23 Jesus called us the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world.” That is not a title—it’s a responsibility. Salt preserves. Light exposes darkness. We are called to influence, not blend in. So let’s be honest—no filters, no excuses: Are you living a life that truly glorifies God? Or are you excusing what you know needs to change? Are you living each day as if Jesus could return at any moment? Have you ever led someone to Christ? Do you love Jesus… or just feel comfortable with Him? Do you stand for His name—or stay silent to avoid offense? Do you identify more with this world… or with Him? These questions may feel strong—but they are nothing compared to the one you will answer: “What did you do with and for Me?” That day is coming. Not imagined. Not symbolic. Real. This is not the time for casual Christianity. This is the hour to live boldly, love deeply, and stand unashamed. ⏳ Get r...

🌍 When Nations Collide: Is God Aligning the World for What’s Next? Recent developments in the Middle East have shaken the global stage. Reports of coordinated airstrikes, retaliatory missile attacks, and rising regional tension have caused many to pause and ask: What is really happening? And more importantly, what does this mean in light of God’s Word? Scripture reminds us that nations do not rise and fall randomly. There is a divine timeline—one that unfolds according to God’s sovereign will. “ And He changes the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings… ” — Daniel 2:21 Could what we are witnessing be part of a larger alignment of nations? The Bible speaks repeatedly of shifting alliances, rising conflicts, and a convergence of global powers in the last days. While we must be careful not to rush to conclusions, we also cannot ignore the patterns unfolding before our eyes. Questions many are now asking: • Is there an end in sight—or just the beginning of ...

✝️ “Why, God?” — Trusting Him When You Don’t Understand | Mark 15:34 “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” — Mark 15:34 There are moments in life when the weight of pain, confusion, or silence causes us to cry out, “Why, God?” If we are honest, we have all been there. Even Jesus, in His humanity, voiced that cry from the cross. That alone should remind us: it is not wrong to ask God why. But where we must be careful is not in the question—but in the condition of our heart when we ask it. Do we ask in humility… or accusation? In faith… or frustration? With reverence… or resistance? God is not offended by sincere questions, but He is concerned with our posture. A heart that still trusts Him—even when it doesn’t understand Him—is a heart that pleases Him. There will be times when God answers. And there will be times when He is silent. Not because He doesn’t care… but because He sees what we cannot see. His wisdom is higher, His timing is perfect, and His purposes...

📌 Question of the Week — Why Does God Allow Evil? From: Sherry, 17 — Sandpoint, Idaho “Hi, Pastor James… Why does God allow evil? If He could stop it, why doesn’t He?” Sherry, thank you for asking what so many feel—but few say out loud. God did not create us as robots. He created us with the ability to choose. And with that freedom comes both the possibility of love… and the reality of evil. Love that is forced is not love at all. Obedience without choice is not righteousness—it’s programming. From the very beginning, humanity was given a choice: God’s way or our own. Sadly, many choose paths that lead to brokenness, injustice, and pain. What we see in the world today is not a failure of God—but the result of humanity turning away from Him. But here is the hope we must hold onto: God sees. God knows. And God will act. There is coming a day when evil, suffering, and death will be completely removed. Justice will prevail. Healing will come. And what is broken will be made whole. ...

The Question That Determines Eternity Can God condemn a man to hell, burn him there forever, and justify Himself in doing so? This question has troubled the hearts of many people. Some reject the idea entirely, believing a loving God could never allow such a thing. Others dismiss the subject altogether and choose not to think about eternity. But here is the reality: what a person believes outside of the truth of Scripture carries no weight in eternity . Our opinions, philosophies, and personal beliefs will not determine what happens after death. Only God’s truth will. The Bible consistently teaches that God is both perfectly loving and perfectly just . Hell is not presented as a place God delights in sending people, but as the ultimate consequence of rejecting Him and the salvation He offers through Jesus Christ. The sobering truth is that eternity does not hinge on our feelings about God—it hinges on whether we accept or reject the one name given for salvation: Jesus Christ . So...

Question of the Week 📌 March 12, 2026 From: Kendall, 15 — Nome, Alaska Question: Hi Pastor James. I’m Kendall, and I have a question. If God is good, why does He allow suffering? My grandparents died last year, and it hurts every time I think about them. Why didn’t God spare their lives, or at least delay their deaths until I was older? I’m really confused right now and could use some sound advice. Response: Hi Kendall. Thank you for asking a question that many people—young and old—quietly carry in their hearts. When we experience loss, it can feel overwhelming because we see life through the lens of the present moment. God, however, sees life through the lens of eternity. What feels sudden and painful to us is not outside His understanding or His care. Suffering is one of the most difficult realities of life, yet throughout Scripture we see that God often uses it to shape hearts, deepen faith, and draw people closer to Him. Pain has a way of stripping away our sense of cont...
