  D-DAY: THE PRICE OF FREEDOM Today, June 6, 2026, we pause to remember one of the most pivotal days in modern history—D-Day. Eighty-two years ago, on June 6, 1944, thousands of brave young men stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. Many never returned home. They faced impossible odds so that future generations might live in freedom. D-Day reminds us that freedom is never free. It is purchased with courage, sacrifice, duty, and the willingness of ordinary people to do extraordinary things in extraordinary times. As Americans, let us never forget those who stood in the gap when the world needed them most. As Christians, let us also remember the words of Jesus: "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). Today, honor a veteran. Thank a service member. Teach the next generation why this day matters. Remember the fallen. Cherish the freedoms they helped preserve. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we always strive to...
