🕊️ The Final Day of July 2025: A Time to Reflect and Reset

As the calendar flips its last page for July, a unique thought strikes:
It will be one hundred years before we see the digits 25 in a year again—2125 to be exact.

Pause on that for a moment.

It places this day—July 31, 2025—into perspective. A day like today will not return in your lifetime. It reminds us that time is not just passing; it’s precious. And how we end one month can shape how we begin the next.

Maybe July was a month of unexpected blessings, answered prayers, or long-awaited breakthroughs. If so, give God praise.

Or maybe July was a month where you just squeaked by—heavy with burdens, delays, setbacks, or simply survival. If so, don’t hang your head in defeat. The calendar is about to turn, and August 1 is on the horizon.

🌅 A New Month, A New Mindset

Scripture tells us in Isaiah 43:18–19:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up—do you not perceive it?”

Let the past stay in the past—not because it didn’t matter, but because it doesn’t have the authority to dictate your future. Whether you triumphed or toiled in July, you are not the sum of one month’s events. God is still writing your story.

August is an opportunity to begin again—with expectancy, courage, and clarity of purpose.

📖 What Can You Do?

  1. Reflect, but don’t rehearse the pain.
Let God show you the lessons—then leave the burden behind.

  2. Refocus on what truly matters.
Re-center your heart in His promises. Revisit your goals. Reignite your prayer life.

  3. Renew your trust in His timing.
Just because it didn’t happen in July doesn’t mean it won’t in August.

💬 A Final Thought

You may not be able to change the past, but you can absolutely learn from it.
And growth begins not with striving, but with surrender.

As we step into August, let this be your declaration:
“I may not know what this month holds, but I know the One who holds it.”

Grace and peace,
🕊️ James Langston

 📖 COMING AUGUST 2025!

Will God Forgive Me? – A Book That Breaks the Silence

There are questions we all ask—but few dare to answer out loud. One of the most haunting is this: Will God really forgive me?

This August 2025, Pilgrim Outreach Ministries is honored to announce the release of James Langston’s powerful new book, Will God Forgive Me? Available soon on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle eBook, this timely and transformational book reaches into the hearts of the broken, the doubting, the wandering, and the weary—with truth, not platitudes.

Written with compassionate clarity, Will God Forgive Me? isn’t just another Christian devotional. It is a lifeline. Rooted in Scripture and real-life testimony, each chapter walks through the layers of guilt, shame, silence, fear, and uncertainty that plague so many believers and seekers alike. Whether you’re struggling with sins of the past, wrestling with rejection, or feeling unforgivable for the choices you’ve made, this book will meet you where you are—and walk with you to where God wants you to be.

Here are just a few stirring quotes from the pages of the book:

“God’s forgiveness is not delayed by your failures. It’s activated by your surrender.”

“You are not the sum total of your worst decisions. You are the object of His relentless grace.”

“Mercy doesn't come after perfection—it comes when you admit you’re not perfect.”

“Shame says, ‘You are what you did.’ Grace says, ‘You are who He died for.’”

“If Christ still bears the scars, then forgiveness still bears power.”

And one quote that will stay with you long after the final page:

“When God forgives…He forgets. The enemy may replay it. People may remind you. But God will never rehearse what He has already released.”

📖 COMING AUGUST 2025: Will God Forgive Me?

A New Book That Asks the Question So Many Are Afraid to Voice…

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9 (KJV)

The world is hurting.

Behind our brightest smiles and curated social media profiles, millions are carrying the crushing weight of guilt, shame, embarrassment, and regret. The pain is real. The silence is deafening. The questions are soul-deep:

  • Will God really forgive me for what I’ve done?

  • Have I gone too far?

  • Is it too late to be made whole again?

In our fast-paced, pain-numbed culture, people are desperately seeking healing—but looking in all the wrong places.

That’s why this August, James Langston, missionary, pastor, and author of over 25 faith-based works, will release his newest book, Will God Forgive Me? A powerful and heart-piercing exploration of God’s mercy, the book is rooted in 1 John 1:9, and written for anyone who has ever wondered if their sins were beyond God’s reach.

📊 The Crisis Is Real

Recent studies report that suicide rates among adults, teens, and even pre-teens have risen over 37% in the past decade. That number reflects more than just statistics—it reflects a deep spiritual fracture in our society.

We’re often called “A Nation in a Daze”, and for good reason. People are smiling outwardly, but they are suffocating inwardly. Silent storms rage behind polished appearances. And far too many suffer under the false belief that forgiveness is unavailable, unreachable, or unearned.

But this book delivers a louder message:

There is hope. There is help. And that hope is Jesus Christ.

✝️ He Forgives… and Forgets

Jesus doesn't just offer forgiveness—

“Come unto Me, all you that labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

He also promises cleansing and restoration—

“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.”
Isaiah 1:18

Will God Forgive Me? is a call to the weary, the ashamed, the hidden, the wounded…
To the ones who think they’ve run out of chances.
To the ones who stopped praying.
To the ones who think God stopped listening.

🔥 Revival Is Coming…

God’s promise still stands:

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh…”
Joel 2:28

We believe a healing is coming—to the body, the mind, and the soul of this nation. This book is part of that healing. Part of that call. And part of what God is doing in this hour to awaken hearts and restore lives.

Grace Doesn’t Play Favorites

By James Langston

How many times have we looked at someone—someone from our past, someone we used to know—and silently thought, “They’ll never change.”

Maybe we’ve heard their name whispered in conversations, remembered their actions from years ago, or carried wounds they once caused. And so, we settle it in our hearts: they are who they were. Full stop.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth: when we make people prisoners of their past, we dishonor the grace that set us free from ours.

Jesus didn’t just come to save the “almost good enough.” He came for the lost, the broken, the publicly shamed, the morally bankrupt—and yes, even the ones we’ve already written off.

Grace, by definition, is undeserved.
Mercy, by definition, is unfair.
And salvation, by its nature, is shocking.

If we’re honest, some of us struggle not with the idea that God saves—but with who He saves.

The Mirror of Mercy

Think about it: if God, through His mercy, redeemed you, why couldn’t He do the same for them?

Do we believe in a grace that transforms? Or only in a grace that applies to people like us?

One of my mother’s favorite sayings was:

“When you get to Heaven, you’ll be surprised not only by who’s there… but by who’s not.”

That statement used to stir something deep in me. It reminds me that the Kingdom of Heaven won’t operate by our checklists or our assumptions.

The first will be last. The broken will be crowned. The thief on the cross will be seated beside the King.

God’s grace is not portioned out by performance. It is poured out by His love.

Let Go of the Ledger

You and I don’t keep the books. We don’t determine who’s worthy.
Our job is not to tally sins but to extend hope.

It’s hard sometimes. People hurt us. They disappoint us. They let us down in spectacular fashion.
But grace asks us to believe that even the most unlikely hearts can be softened… because ours once were, too.

“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified…”
—1 Corinthians 6:11

A Word for Today

Who is that person you’ve mentally written off?
What name still brings up resentment, disbelief, or doubt?

Pause today and ask:
“Lord, if You could change me… help me believe You can change them, too.”

Final Thought

There’s no VIP line at the gates of Heaven.
No ranking system. No divine scoreboard.
Only this:
🕊️ Grace doesn’t play favorites.
It just keeps reaching… and saving… and rewriting stories.

📖 NOW AVAILABLE: Glance by James Langston

A Prophetic Thriller That Sees What Others Miss

“Glance challenges us to reconsider what it means to see not merely with our eyes, but with our conscience.”
— Dr. Alicia Reid, Ph.D., Ret. Commander, U.S. Navy

We are honored and excited to announce the official release of Glance, the long-awaited novel from author, pastor, and global missionary James Langston.

This story has lived in the background of his heart and mind for nearly two decades—a slow burn of vision, speculation, and spiritual prompting. What began as a simple “What if?” slowly transformed into something much deeper… a prophetic glimpse into the not-so-distant future.

🔍 What Is Glance?

Glance is a Christian sci-fi mystery thriller centered around Dr. Eugene Karl Howard, a renowned trauma surgeon who survives a horrific crash—only to awaken with a mysterious new ability. He begins seeing patterns in human DNA, signals buried deep in biology, and encrypted anomalies that no one else can perceive.

What should have been a miracle quickly becomes a curse.

Eugene's new sight doesn’t just make him different—it makes him dangerous.

As government surveillance, medical innovation, and spiritual forces collide, he’s forced to confront the truth about our world: that what is hidden is far more powerful than what is seen.

🕯️ A Story… and a Warning

As James Langston wrote, something shifted. The fiction deepened. The imagery sharpened. Suddenly, the storyline didn’t feel so “futuristic” anymore—it began to echo the present moment. Artificial intelligence, digital identity systems, synthetic worship experiences, and the erosion of truth all began to mirror what the Bible calls the Great Tribulation.

This is not just entertainment—it’s insight.
It’s not just a story—it’s a wake-up call.

✍️ In the Words of Dr. Alicia Reid:

“It is fiction that aches with truth, set in a world that feels just a few missteps from our own.

For those of us who have watched the world teeter on the edge—be it in a command center, a surgical bay, or a spiritual awakening—this story resonates.

It reminds us that insight is not just about perception, but about purpose. And sometimes, the most dangerous thing isn’t what’s visible—it’s what’s been hidden in plain sight all along.”

🎥 Official Video Preview Released — GLANCE by James Langston

A Novel. A Warning. A Glimpse of What’s Coming.

We are excited to announce that the official video preview for Glance, the latest prophetic thriller by James Langston, has now been released.

This powerful short feature dives into the purpose, intent, and prophetic vision behind the book—revealing the "why" behind the words, and how a near-death experience in fiction might mirror the spiritual awakening many need in reality.

🔎 What Is Glance About?

In Glance, we meet Dr. Eugene Karl Howard—a brilliant surgeon whose life is forever changed after a near-fatal crash. What begins as a miracle becomes a threat.
What was meant for healing now marks him for surveillance.
What he sees… could change everything.

As spiritual forces and global technologies collide, Eugene is thrust into a race against time. With institutions crumbling, synthetic churches rising, and truth hiding in plain sight, Glance asks the critical question:

What if your vision exposed a truth the world wasn’t ready to see?

✝️ More Than Fiction—A Prophetic Reflection

Glance is more than just a thriller—it’s a mirror. A glimpse. A prophetic warning. It dares to suggest that the technologies we praise today may become the tools of control tomorrow. That the age we live in may already be echoing the prelude to the Great Tribulation.

Through this novel, James Langston offers a spiritual, emotional, and intellectual journey—a story crafted with urgency, built on faith, and anchored in biblical insight. Whether you are a believer, a seeker, or a sci-fi lover asking, “What is life?”, this book will speak to you in ways unexpected.

📝 EXPANDED BLOG POST FOR BLOGSPOT

🗞️ When a Headline Becomes a Hammer — The Art of Media Spin

There’s a quote that says, “The first casualty of war is truth.”
But today, you don’t need a battlefield for truth to be slain—you just need a news cycle.

Let’s start with a harmless sentence:
👉 “The cat killed the rat.”

No drama. No backstory. Just a basic statement.

But give that same line to five different media outlets, and suddenly, here’s what you get:

  • “How Could He! The Feline Fury Strikes Again”

  • “The Bully with Claws—Predator Targets the Defenseless”

  • “Racially Motivated Killing? White Cat Ends Brown Rat’s Life”

  • “Big Brother Eliminates the Underdog Once Again”

  • “The Forgotten Ones: Why Rats Are Always the Victims”

Suddenly, a simple biological event is weaponized into an emotional firestorm.

🧠 The Problem Isn’t Just What’s Reported—It’s What’s Implied

Today’s media doesn’t just report facts—it frames narratives.

It doesn’t just tell us what happened—it tells us how to feel about it.

That’s why we must be more than passive readers. We must be Spirit-led interpreters.

Because often, it’s not the story that’s dangerous—
It’s the spin.

🕊️ Jesus Warned Us About Deception

In Matthew 24:4, Jesus said, “Watch out that no one deceives you.”
That includes not only false prophets—but false headlines, false contexts, and false outrage.

We live in an age where confusion reigns—
Where “facts” are bent, “experts” contradict, and “truth” is a moving target.

And if we don’t filter everything through Scripture, we’ll end up:

  • Fighting the wrong battles

  • Believing the wrong narratives

  • Judging what we don’t understand

🕯️ How Do We Stay Grounded in a Spun-Out World?

  1. Pray for discernment.
Ask God to help you see beyond the surface.

  2. Compare news with truth.
    Scripture doesn’t spin—it reveals.

  3. Don’t react. Reflect.
Not everything you read deserves a reaction.

  4. Avoid echo chambers.
    Be informed—but not indoctrinated.

  5. Ask: “Who benefits from this outrage?”
    That alone can clarify much.

🙏 Final Thought

Truth doesn’t scream. It doesn’t clickbait. It doesn’t trend.

Truth still stands quietly where it always has—in the Word of God.

So next time you scroll past a shocking headline or hear the media stir the pot, remember:

“The cat killed the rat” may be true…
but how it’s told can either reflect wisdom—or manipulate your soul.

Stay grounded. Stay discerning. Stay prayerful.

📝 EXPANDED BLOGSPOT POST

Title: You'll Miss Us When We're Gone
📍 joybells49.blogspot.com

There’s an event coming that the world doesn’t want to talk about—but it’s coming nonetheless.

It’s called the Rapture.
And it's the next great event on the horizon for believers in Jesus Christ.

📖 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God…”
—1 Thessalonians 4:16–18

You may have heard it before—laughed it off, mocked it, or dismissed it as religious fantasy.
But here’s the truth: when it happens, the world will know what it lost.
Not because we, as Christians, are better—but because we carry something the world doesn't fully understand:

The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

What’s Holding Back the Darkness?

The Bible teaches that there are three restraining forces holding evil at bay in the world:

  1. The Holy Spirit – dwelling in the hearts of believers.

  2. Christians – the salt and light of the world.

  3. God's moral laws – many of which still influence nations and cultures.

Take those away, and what’s left is chaos.

As believers are caught up in the air to meet the Lord, the vacuum that follows will open the door to a new and darker era.
Governments will panic.
Society will fracture.
And hearts that once scoffed will suddenly remember the words of loved ones who warned them.

“How Do You Know This Will Happen?”

That question gets asked often—and my answer is always the same:

“Because the Bible says so.”

Not opinion. Not speculation. Not fear-mongering.

The same Bible that prophesied Israel’s rebirth, the rise and fall of empires, and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ—also proclaims the Rapture of the Church.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve never thought seriously about eternity, now is the time.
If you’ve drifted in your faith, now is the moment to come back.
If you’re unsure about your place with God, the invitation still stands:

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

One day soon, you may look around and wonder why so many are missing.
Let today be the day you choose to be among them, not left behind.

Title: Clark Kent Christians: Are You Hiding Your Light?
By James Langston | joybells49.blogspot.com

A few weeks ago, I asked a question on TikTok that resonated with many and rattled a few:

“Are you a Clark Kent Christian?” https://tinyurl.com/npmrett3

You know—the one who looks ordinary, blends in, avoids confrontation, and never really lets the world know they follow Jesus. A mild-mannered believer by day… but never really showing up when the moment calls for truth and courage.

To my surprise, the video took off—nearing 1,000 views. The majority were supportive, but the pushback? That’s where it got interesting. Some felt the message was “too judgmental” or “unnecessary.” But I ask you this:

What does the Bible say about hiding your light?

Matthew 5:14-16 declares:

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
“Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”
“In the same way, let your light shine before others…”

That doesn’t sound like a secret identity to me.

🧂Salt and Light Isn’t a Suggestion—It’s Our Assignment

Christians weren’t called to camouflage faith. We were called to carry the truth, even when it’s unpopular. Even when it gets criticized. Even when it costs us friends, followers, or favor.

And let’s be honest—we’re living in a time where right is called wrong, and wrong is celebrated as brave. In a culture like this, being neutral is not being faithful. Silence is often compliance.

That’s why now—more than ever—we need bold believers. Men and women who aren’t ashamed of the Gospel. Who speak truth in love. Who walk with grace but refuse to bow to the gods of culture.

🔁 Righteousness Over Relevance

Someone once said:

“I’d rather be on the right side of righteousness than on the right side of unrighteousness.”

That statement speaks volumes. In an age of compromise, righteousness is revolutionary.

And Jesus made it clear—if we’re ashamed of Him before men, He will be ashamed of us before the Father (Luke 9:26). That’s not fear-mongering. That’s truth.

So ask yourself today:

  • Are you a follower of Christ in name only?

  • Have you allowed fear, pride, or comfort to silence your witness?

  • Is your faith visible… or disguised like Clark Kent?

If the world can’t see Jesus in us, then we’ve failed the mission.

This is your reminder:
Take off the disguise.
Let your light shine.
Speak His name with boldness.
The world doesn’t need another hidden Christian—it needs a visible Church.

Title: God Has Not Changed—We Have
By James Langston | joybells49.blogspot.com

"For I am the Lord, I change not..." — Malachi 3:6
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

There’s a growing belief that God has changed—that He’s become more lenient, more tolerant, more... modern.

But that’s not truth. That’s deception.

The Lord is not a shifting shadow or a culture-chasing trend. He is holy, consistent, righteous, and eternal. It is we—society, culture, the modern church—who have changed. And not for the better.

We’ve blurred the line between holy and profane, between conviction and convenience.

Let’s look at the sobering difference between Then & Now—a comparison from 55 years ago to today:

Moral StandardTHEN (1970s)NOW (2020s)
SexSacred; reserved for marriageCasual; redefined and devalued
PornographyHidden; considered immoralMainstream; billion-dollar industry
SmokingDangerous and discouragedTrendy again via flavored vapes and online challenges
DrinkingCautioned and often avoidedCelebrated, glamorized, and normalized
DrugsStigmatized and illegalLegalized, commercialized, and glorified
Sexual OrientationViewed through a biblical lensViewed through personal preference and identity politics

We live in a world that no longer hides sin—it celebrates it.

We are witnessing what Genesis 6:5 described:

“…the thoughts of men’s hearts were only evil continually.”

This isn’t speculation. This is prophecy in motion.
We’re not just in a cultural decline—we are in a spiritual free fall.

But the good news?
God hasn't changed. And His arm is still stretched out—offering grace to the repentant, hope to the hopeless, and salvation to the seeking.

🛑 Don’t believe the lie that “things will just get better.”
📖 They’ll only get better when hearts return to God.
Now is the time to seek Him—while He may still be found.

Title: What’s Coming Next? Why Didn’t Healing Come? Two Books That Speak to Your Deepest Questions
By James Langston | joybells49.blogspot.com

Have you ever sat in silence, scrolling through headlines, wondering:

“Where is this all going?”
Or maybe in a hospital room, beside a loved one, crying out:
“Why hasn’t healing come?”

These are not small questions. They’re life-altering questions.

That’s why I wrote two books to speak into those very moments—the questions that shake our faith, trouble our sleep, and stir something deep in our souls.

📘 PROPHECY

Available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle eBook

In this book, I examine today’s political, environmental, moral, and spiritual chaos through the lens of God’s Word. Prophecy doesn’t offer sensationalism—it offers Scriptural clarity. It helps believers discern the times, understand where we are in God's timeline, and what role we must play as the world edges closer to final fulfillment.

If you’re wondering, “Is this it? Are we in the last days?”—you’ll find answers rooted in the Bible, not fear.

📗 I Am (אני) the Lord That Heals You

Available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle eBook

This book came from a place of heartbreak—and hope. It’s for the person who has believed for healing, prayed for a miracle, yet still faces pain, illness, or loss.

I dive deep into the theology of healing, the mystery of delay, and the sovereignty of God. You’ll meet real people with real stories—some healed in miraculous ways, others still walking through their valley with unwavering faith.

And through it all, you’ll see that God is still Jehovah-Raphathe Lord who heals, even when the timeline doesn’t look like ours.

Whether you’re wrestling with the future or reeling from unanswered prayer, these two books are more than pages—they’re companions for the journey.

📖 Read them. Share them. And let them draw you closer to the God who still speaks, still heals, and is still in control.

Title: Don’t Talk Yourself Out of a Blessing
URL: joybells49.blogspot.com

As This Week Begins — July 20–27
We all want to step into a new week with hope, confidence, and purpose. But sometimes, the first battle we fight isn’t with the enemy—it’s within our own mind.

Maybe last week didn’t go the way you planned. Maybe your heart is weary, or your faith feels thin. Maybe you've started to believe the lie that things will never change.

But let me tell you something: You are one decision, one act of obedience, one surrendered prayer away from breakthrough.

The Word of God reminds us not to measure our future by our past or our purpose by our problems. Joshua knew this when he stood before Israel and boldly declared:

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”Joshua 24:15

He wasn’t speaking from a place of ease. He was speaking from conviction.

So this week, I encourage you to do the same.

  • Speak life when your circumstances shout defeat.

  • Stand firm even when it feels easier to fold.

  • Trust that the God who brought you this far hasn’t changed His mind about you.

Don’t let fear, regret, or doubt talk you out of a blessing that’s already on its way.

This week, lift your head.
Raise your voice.
Walk like the child of God that you are.

Together, let’s make this week one of divine encounters, renewed strength, and deepened faith.

🌤 In Three Words: It Goes On

Saturday Reflection – July 19, 2025
By James Langston

A long time ago, I heard a quote that’s never quite left me.
I believe it was from poet Robert Frost:

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.”

It struck me as both simple and profound. Life doesn’t wait for us to figure it all out. It doesn’t pause for our questions, or halt for our hurts. It just keeps moving, with or without our permission. And sometimes, that reality is more comforting than we realize.

In a world filled with uncertainty, shifting values, political posturing, and relentless chaos, these three words carry a quiet strength:
“It goes on.”

Life Doesn’t Stop—But Neither Does God

Today, July 19, 2025, I want to encourage you—whether you’re thriving or barely holding on.

You may have endured a hard week.
You may be battling grief, discouragement, or confusion.
You may even feel like giving up.

But here’s the good news: Life is still moving forward.
And even better—God is still on the move with you.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
(Psalm 34:18)

Just as time continues, so does grace.
So does healing.
So does hope.

🙏 This Could Be the Best Saturday of Your Life

I pray that today—this very Saturday—brings you something fresh:

  • A conversation that revives your spirit

  • A reminder that you're not forgotten

  • A moment of clarity or laughter you didn’t see coming

  • A small breakthrough in an ongoing battle

Life may not always make sense, but God’s hand is steady, even when ours tremble. Don’t underestimate what He can do in a single day. Even a quiet one.

So pause. Breathe. Reflect.
You’ve made it this far—not by accident, but by grace.

📖 Take These Words With You Today

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)

Even when the world feels uncertain…
Life goes on.
And God goes with you.
