Help Us Help Them Before Hope Runs Out There is a phrase that I have heard countless times over the years of ministry: "I don't know how we're going to make it, but somehow we'll make it through today." For many Americans, that statement may sound dramatic. Yet for millions of people living in developing nations, it is not dramatic at all—it is reality. Every morning, countless families wake up wondering where their next meal will come from. Parents worry about how they will provide for their children. Communities struggle with limited resources, inadequate medical care, poor infrastructure, unemployment, and a lack of opportunities that many of us take for granted. The simple comforts that many Americans enjoy every day—reliable electricity, clean water, transportation, healthcare, grocery stores, and access to churches—are often luxuries in other parts of the world. As I write these words, my thoughts turn once again to the Philippines and the many regions throu...

Before You Check the News, Check Your Heart One of the first things many people do each morning is reach for their phone. Before their feet hit the floor, they're scrolling through headlines, checking social media, reading emails, reviewing the latest political developments, or catching up on events happening around the world. Within minutes, they have absorbed reports of war, crime, disasters, economic uncertainty, political conflict, division, and controversy. Then they wonder why they feel anxious. Discouraged. Overwhelmed. Or emotionally drained before the day has even begun. Let me ask you a question. What if the first thing you fed your mind each morning was not fear, but faith? Not confusion, but clarity? Not anxiety, but hope? Not the latest outrage, but eternal truth? What if before you checked the news, you checked your heart? The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4:23: "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." In other words, what en...

Drawing from Scripture, life experience, ministry, leadership, family, and faith, You Reap What You Sow (2nd Edition) examines the choices, compromises, and consequences shaping individuals, families, churches, communiti...

Fifty Years Ago, A Young Man Stepped Off the Bus On June 4, 1976, a young man stepped off a bus at Recruit Training Command, San Diego, California. He was an E-1 Recruit assigned to Company 125. His Company Commander was ABH1 Walsh. His Adjutant was Airman Williams. He had no idea where the journey would lead. After boot camp came Radioman "A" School in San Diego. Then the USS Dubuque (LPD-8), where he would serve from 1976 to 1980. Along the way, something even more important happened—he met a young woman in 1978 who would become his wife in 1979. More than four decades later, they are still walking life's journey together. The years moved quickly. Chief Petty Officer in 1988. Chief Warrant Officer in 1991. Limited Duty Officer in 1996. Retirement from the United States Navy in 2003 after 27 years of service. And today? That young recruit serves as Senior Pastor of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, sharing the Gospel and helping families throughout the Philipp...

THE VISION WILL SPEAK This morning, while sitting at the breakfast table enjoying a few of my favorites—oatmeal, a glass of water mixed with apple cider vinegar, and a sports drink—it suddenly hit me: with the release of my newest book, You Reap What You Sow (2nd Edition) ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H3QMCKCL ), I have now written more than 40 books . As I sat there reflecting on that milestone, I sensed the Lord gently reminding me of His promise in Habakkuk 2:3: "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." What began years ago as a calling, a burden, and a vision has become a growing testimony of God's faithfulness. To say that I am excited about what the Lord is doing through this latest book—released today, June 2, in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle eBook on Amazon—would be an understatement. I believe the best is yet to come. God's prom...
