THE WORLD'S FIRST TRILLIONAIRE—AND A QUESTION MONEY CANNOT ANSWER

A few days ago, I heard the news that Elon Musk had become the world's first trillionaire. I can't say I was overly excited. I simply paused, let out a soft "Wow," and reflected on what it all means.

Congratulations, Mr. Musk.

From Zip2 to PayPal, Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink, your journey has been one of vision, determination, risk, and innovation. History will remember the accomplishment. Very few people have ever changed industries. You have changed several.

Yet as I reflected on this milestone, another thought came to mind.

With great wealth comes great power. With great power comes great influence. And with great influence comes great responsibility.

A trillion dollars can buy many things, but it cannot buy peace with God. It cannot purchase forgiveness, purpose, or eternal life. It cannot answer the deepest questions of the human heart.

My prayer for Elon Musk is the same prayer I have for every person—rich or poor, famous or unknown:

Don't lose sight of Jesus Christ.

Success is wonderful. Achievement is admirable. Innovation can change the world. But the greatest treasure a person can possess is not found in a stock portfolio, a business empire, or a bank account.

It is found in a relationship with God.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)

May God bless Elon Musk, his family, and all those whose lives have been impacted by his work. And may each of us remember that true wealth is measured not by what we possess, but by Who possesses our hearts.
