📌 IT'S TIME TO MAN UP
Growing up, there was a popular phrase I heard over and over again:
"The Devil made me do it."
Comedian Flip Wilson made it famous, and before long it became a convenient excuse for almost anything people did wrong.
Fast forward to today, and not much has changed.
We live in a culture where accepting responsibility for our actions is becoming as rare as the proverbial "hen's teeth." Everyone wants someone else to blame—a parent, a spouse, society, politics, their upbringing, their circumstances, or even the devil himself.
But sooner or later, every one of us must face a difficult truth:
Right is still right, and wrong is still wrong.
Thankfully, God did not leave moral truth up to public opinion, political trends, or personal preferences. He established it in His Word. The Bible remains the standard by which we measure our thoughts, words, actions, and motives.
The real issue isn't what others are doing.
The real issue is what am I doing?
Before we point fingers at Washington, Hollywood, the media, our neighbors, or even the devil, perhaps we should take a long look in the mirror.
As my daughter often says, "It's time to man up."
It's time to own our mistakes.
It's time to repent where we've failed.
It's time to stop making excuses and start making changes.
The old spiritual said it best:
"It's not my brother, nor my sister, but it's me, O Lord, standing in the need of prayer."
Revival begins when responsibility begins.
