Comedian Flip Wilson made it famous, and before long it became a convenient excuse for almost anything people did wrong. Fast forward to today, and not much has changed. We live in a culture where accepting responsibility for our actions is becoming as rare as the proverbial "hen's teeth." Everyone wants someone else to blame—a parent, a spouse, society, politics, their upbringing, their circumstances, or even the devil himself.
