πŸ“Œ NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER 2026 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ™

Today, on the National Day of Prayer, millions of Americans from every walk of life pause to seek the face of God. Established by Congress in 1952 and observed annually on the first Thursday of May, this special day serves as a national reminder that prayer still matters, faith still matters, and God still hears the cries of His people.

Throughout America’s history, presidents, leaders, soldiers, pastors, parents, and ordinary citizens have turned to prayer during times of war, tragedy, uncertainty, revival, and hope. Prayer has carried this nation through some of its darkest and brightest hours.

Today, our nation faces spiritual, moral, economic, political, and emotional challenges unlike anything many generations have seen before. Families are hurting. Many feel lost, fearful, anxious, and uncertain about the future. But Scripture reminds us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if God’s people humble themselves and pray, He will hear from Heaven.

πŸ™ PRAYER FOR AMERICA:
Heavenly Father, we pray for our nation today. Bring healing where there is division, peace where there is fear, wisdom to our leaders, strength to our families, protection to our children, and hope to the discouraged. Bless our churches, first responders, military personnel, teachers, healthcare workers, and communities across this land. Draw hearts back to You and help us become a people marked by truth, compassion, humility, and love. Guide our steps and preserve this nation under Your mighty hand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please continue praying for America, its leaders, families, friends, and neighbors. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

🌧️ 25 DAYS UNTIL THE RAINS COME 🌧️
The Philippines Rainy Season Is Almost Here

In just 25 days, the rainy season will begin in the Philippines.

Last year, we were there when the rains came. And honestly, words alone cannot fully describe what we witnessed. It rained day after day after day. Roads disappeared under floodwaters. Entire homes were swallowed by mudslides. Families stood in water with nowhere to go. Children became sick while parents searched desperately for medicine they could not afford. Others simply ran out of food and had no idea where their next meal would come from.

It is one thing to read about these tragedies online. It is another thing entirely to stand in the middle of them and look into the eyes of people who have lost almost everything.

This is why we cannot wait until disaster strikes to prepare.

Right now, Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International is preparing to help provide emergency food, clean water, medicine, supplies, and spiritual encouragement to hurting families during the coming rainy season. But we cannot do this alone.

Somewhere tonight, a mother is already worrying about how she will protect her children when the floodwaters rise again. Somewhere, an elderly man is praying his fragile home survives another storm. Somewhere, families are hoping someone, somewhere, will care enough to help.

Maybe that “someone” is us. Maybe it’s you.

Please prayerfully consider standing with us today. Every prayer matters. Every share matters. Every gift matters. Compassion is never wasted when it touches a hurting life.

🌿 SAFE IN THE STRONG TOWER 🌿
From James Langston’s Words of Encouragement (4th Edition)
πŸ“– https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DVT62NKF

“The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” — Proverbs 18:10

Life has a way of testing us. Some battles come without warning. Fear, uncertainty, sickness, financial pressure, broken relationships, and emotional exhaustion can leave us searching for somewhere to run.

Proverbs 18:10 reminds us that true safety is not found in money, people, possessions, or worldly security. It is found in the Lord.

In biblical times, a fortified tower was a place of refuge during attacks and danger. It was strong, immovable, and dependable. In the same way, God invites us to run to Him when life feels overwhelming.

“The name of the Lord” speaks of His character — His faithfulness, mercy, power, love, and protection. When we pray, worship, trust, and obey Him, we are running into that strong tower.

Being safe does not mean we will never face troubles. It means we never face them alone. God guards our hearts, strengthens our spirits, and gives peace in the middle of life’s storms.

Today, if anxiety, fear, or discouragement are weighing heavily on you, run to the Lord. He is still your refuge, your shelter, and your strength.

πŸ™ Prayer:
Lord, You are my strong tower and my place of safety. Help me to trust You more deeply and run to You first in every season of life. Fill my heart with peace, courage, and unwavering faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If this devotion encouraged you, share it. Someone today needs this reminder of hope.

πŸ“Œ Question of the Week — May 7, 2026

From: Clyde, 47 — Auckland, New Zealand

“TΔ“nā koe, Pastor James. For years, Christians have told me I need the baptism in the Holy Spirit—not for salvation, but for service. I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts. Haere rā.”

Response:

Clyde, thank you for your honest and heartfelt question. You are not alone. Many believers love Christ sincerely, yet struggle to understand the role of the Holy Spirit in daily Christian living.

Trying to live the Christian life without the power of the Holy Spirit is like trying to sail a ship without wind or drive a car without fuel. You may move a little, but not as God intended.

Jesus told His disciples in Acts 1:8:
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…”

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is not about religious hype, emotionalism, or spiritual superiority. It is about empowerment for service, spiritual boldness, deeper intimacy with God, and victorious Christian living.

Sadly, many believers today are spiritually exhausted, discouraged, and ineffective because they are attempting to live for Christ without relying on the power Christ promised.

The Holy Spirit convicts, guides, strengthens, comforts, teaches, and empowers believers to walk faithfully in an increasingly difficult world.

And yes, Clyde, this promise is still available today.

God does not want His people merely surviving spiritually—He wants them empowered.

If you are hungry for more of God:
Ask.
Believe.
Receive.

We are praying for you, Clyde. And remember, you are never too old to grow deeper in your walk with God.

πŸŒ… GOOD MORNING — MAY 7, 2026 πŸŒ…
“Grace for Another Day”

Good morning, friends.

As you begin this new day, remember this truth: if God woke you up this morning, He is not finished with you yet. There is still purpose in your life, strength for your journey, and hope for your tomorrow.

Some woke up discouraged. Some are carrying burdens nobody knows about. Others are fighting battles in silence, praying for answers, healing, direction, or simply the strength to keep going.

But take heart today.

God is still on the throne. He still answers prayer. He still opens doors no man can shut. He still heals broken hearts, restores weary souls, and makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Do not allow fear, bad news, or yesterday’s disappointments to control your spirit today. Lift your eyes upward. The same God who brought you through before will bring you through again.

πŸ™ Morning Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of another day. Give us strength for every challenge, peace in every storm, wisdom in every decision, and faith to trust You even when we cannot see the outcome. Encourage the weary, heal the hurting, provide for those in need, and draw hearts closer to You today. Let our words, actions, and attitudes reflect Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

No matter what lies ahead today, never forget:
✨ God is with you.
✨ God is for you.
✨ God will never leave you.

πŸ“– SERMON OF THE WEEK — Senior Pastor James Langston
“We Serve a Miracle Working God”
πŸ“2 Chronicles 14:1–4, 9–12

What do you do when the battle in front of you is bigger than the strength within you?

King Asa faced an enemy army that vastly outnumbered his own. Humanly speaking, defeat seemed certain. But Asa did something many people forget to do in moments of crisis — he cried out to God. And God answered with supernatural victory.

This week’s message from Senior Pastor James Langston is a timely reminder that we still serve the same miracle-working God today.

Whether you are facing:
• financial pressure
• sickness or emotional pain
• family struggles
• fear about the future
• spiritual warfare
• unanswered prayers

— God has not changed. What looks impossible to man is still possible with God.

In this powerful sermon, Pastor Langston reminds us that:
✅ Faith must be greater than fear
✅ Prayer is still powerful
✅ God still moves in impossible situations
✅ Victory belongs to those who trust Him

The same God who fought for Asa is the same God who can fight for you.

Do not allow discouragement, delay, or doubt to silence your faith. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think. Sometimes God waits until the situation looks impossible so that only He receives the glory.

πŸŽ₯ Watch this week’s sermon and let your faith rise again.

If this message encourages you, share it. One sermon, one verse, one moment in God’s presence can completely change someone’s life.

πŸ“Œ Prophecy, Persia, and the Rising Tension in the Middle East

As fighting ebbs and flows in the Middle East, and with what some are calling “Trump vs. the World,” many people are asking serious prophetic questions:

Is the U.S.–Iran conflict mentioned in the Bible?
Are we witnessing the beginning of the end?
How do these events relate to Revelation 13:1–10 and 17:12–13?

The Bible does not specifically mention the United States or Iran by modern names, but many prophecy scholars point to ancient Persia (modern-day Iran) in passages such as Ezekiel 38:5. What we ARE seeing is a rapid alignment of nations, military alliances, economic pressure, global unrest, deception, and political polarization unlike anything in modern history.

Revelation 13 speaks of a coming world system marked by centralized power, global influence, economic control, and unprecedented authority. Revelation 17:12–13 describes kings and nations ultimately giving their power and allegiance to a unified world order for “one hour.” Could today’s tensions be setting the stage for those events? Many believe they are.

But remember this: prophecy was never given to create panic—it was given to create preparedness.

Jesus told us in Matthew 24 that wars, rumors of wars, conflicts, earthquakes, and upheaval would increase before His return. The question is not merely, “What is happening in the world?” The greater question is, “Are we spiritually ready?”

The world is changing rapidly. Alliances are shifting. Economies are shaking. Morality is collapsing. Yet in the middle of uncertainty, the Word of God remains steady, unchanging, and true.

This is not the hour for fear, compromise, or spiritual laziness. It is the hour for prayer, discernment, repentance, evangelism, and drawing closer to God than ever before.

The signs are increasing. The hour is late. The harvest is still waiting.

God, Where Were You When I Needed You Most? — A Cry Heard Around the World

There are moments in life when the silence feels louder than the storm… when prayers seem unanswered, hope feels distant, and the question rises from the depths of the soul:

“God… where were You?”

In his upcoming book, God, Where Were You When I Needed You Most?, James Langston steps directly into that question—without flinching, without filtering, and without offering shallow answers.

This powerful and deeply personal work is more than a book—it is, as one reader described it, “a voice crying in the wilderness.” It speaks to the broken, the weary, the overlooked, and the searching. It walks through the valleys of pain, disappointment, loss, and confusion—and dares to confront the silence many feel but are afraid to voice.

But this is not a message of despair.

It is a journey.

A journey from questioning to understanding…
From silence to revelation…
From brokenness to restoration.

With biblical depth, real-life insight, and uncompromising honesty, this book helps readers discover a truth often hidden in the midst of suffering: God was never absent—you just couldn’t see Him the way you expected.

If you’ve ever wrestled with doubt…
If you’ve ever felt abandoned in your darkest hour…
If you’ve ever wondered why heaven seemed quiet when you needed it most…

This book was written for you.

Before the Storm Comes—Will We Be Ready?

The rainy season is approaching in the Philippines—June through September 2026. And for many, that doesn’t just mean rain… it means survival.

Last year, beginning June 1, 2025, we were there. We saw it firsthand. It rained, and rained, and rained. What followed was devastating—flooding, mudslides, typhoons, even earthquakes. Homes were lost. Food became scarce. Clean water was hard to find. For countless families, it was a season of uncertainty, hardship, and deep need.

Now, that same season is almost here again.

But this time, we have an opportunity to be prepared—to stand in the gap before the storm arrives.

The Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International is actively working to bring relief, support, and hope to those who will be affected. Through your prayers and generous giving, we can provide essential supplies, emergency assistance, and continue sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ in the midst of crisis.

Our GoFundMe campaign is active and ready:
πŸ‘‰ https://gofund.me/21c3bbd1c

This is more than a donation—it’s a lifeline. It’s food on a table, shelter in a storm, and hope in the heart of someone who feels forgotten.

Please help us help them.

Because when the rains come, they won’t wait—and neither should we.

🀝 From Intention to Impact: It’s Time to Do More 🀝

So, you want to do more for the Lord.

You feel it deep within—a desire to make a difference, to reach beyond your immediate surroundings, to impact lives for eternity. But maybe you’re asking the honest question: “Where do I begin?”

Here’s a simple, powerful answer—you don’t have to do it alone.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, we are committed to taking the gospel where many cannot go—into the highways, villages, and underserved communities of the Philippines and beyond. Our mission is clear: we go where you can’t and do what you may never have the opportunity to do.

But here’s the truth—we go together.

Your prayers. Your faith. Your support. They become the hands that reach, the voice that speaks, and the hope that changes lives. What you release on this side of the world becomes transformation on the other side.

Because one day, every one of us will stand before God. And the question won’t be how much we intended to do—but what we actually did with what He entrusted to us.

This is not about pressure—it’s about purpose.

It’s time to move from talking… to doing.
From intention… to impact.
From hesitation… to obedience.

If your heart is stirred, don’t ignore it. That’s where purpose begins.

🌍 When the World Shakes, the Word Stands 🌍

Turn on the news. Scroll through your feed. Look around. This world is spinning—mentally, spiritually, economically, and politically. Confusion is rising. Fear is increasing. Answers seem harder to find.

And yet… something remarkable is happening.

People are returning to the pages of the Bible.

In the middle of chaos, hearts are searching for truth. Minds are awakening. It has been estimated that every 30 seconds, someone, somewhere is experiencing a spiritual awakening—many for the very first time. That’s not coincidence… that’s prophecy unfolding before our eyes.

In The Bible, Gospel of Matthew 24:14 declares:
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

What we are witnessing right now aligns perfectly with this moment in Scripture. As darkness increases, so does the hunger for light. As uncertainty grows, so does the desire for truth. The Word of God is not fading—it is rising.

The question is not if God is moving. The question is: Will we be part of it?

Now is the time to stand. To share. To speak. To support the work of reaching souls across the globe. The harvest is real, and it is happening now.

πŸ“£ It’s Time to Stand — Believe What God Said

You’ve prayed. You’ve fasted. You’ve wept. You’ve poured your heart out before God in the quiet places where no one else could hear you. You’ve done the hard, spiritual work.

Now comes the part many struggle with…

Stand.

There comes a moment in every believer’s life when the tears must stop, the striving must cease, and faith must rise. Not noisy faith. Not emotional faith. But settled, unshakable belief.

If God said it, then the responsibility shifts to us—not to question it, not to rework it, not to doubt it—but to believe it.

All the whining…
All the complaining…
All the impatience…
All the mood swings…
All the doubts and fears…

They all meet their end at one powerful word: Believe.

As it is written in Mark 9:23:
“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

That’s not a suggestion. That’s a divine standard.

Faith doesn’t mean you won’t feel pressure—it means you won’t bow to it.
Faith doesn’t mean the storm disappears—it means you stand firm in the middle of it.

So today, draw the line.
No more wavering. No more second-guessing God.

Stand on His Word. Believe what He said. And watch what He does.

πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ Cinco de Mayo 2026: More Than a Celebration

On May 5th, many across the United States and beyond will celebrate Cinco de Mayo—but its meaning reaches deeper than food, music, and festivities.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Battle of Puebla (1862), when a vastly outnumbered Mexican army achieved an unexpected victory over French forces. It was not just a military win—it was a moment that symbolized courage, resilience, and the refusal to surrender in the face of overwhelming odds.

Its purpose, then and now, is a reminder:
strength is not measured by size or resources, but by resolve and faith.

Over time, especially in the United States, Cinco de Mayo has grown into a broader celebration of Mexican heritage, culture, and contributions. It’s a day that highlights unity, identity, and the enduring spirit of a people who refused to give up.

But there is also a powerful lesson for us today.

Just like that small army at Puebla, many people around the world are facing overwhelming battles—poverty, uncertainty, lack, and hardship. In places like the Philippines, families are fighting daily just to survive, holding onto hope with everything they have.

That’s where we are called to step in.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, we believe in standing with those who are fighting uphill battles—not just with words, but with action. We minister to the whole person—mind, body, soul, and spirit—bringing hope where it is needed most.

Cinco de Mayo reminds us that victory is possible…
But it also reminds us that someone must stand, someone must act, and someone must care.

Today, let this be more than a celebration—
Let it be a moment of reflection, gratitude, and purpose.

πŸ“– Faith That Moves: When Prayer Takes Action

Scripture: 2 Kings 7:3–16

There were four lepers sitting at the gate, facing a hopeless reality. They asked a simple question: “Why sit we here until we die?” That question changed everything.

They didn’t wait for a miracle to come find them…
They moved toward it.

So often, we pray and then sit still. We ask God for provision, breakthrough, direction—but then we wait passively. If it comes, we shout “Hallelujah!” If it doesn’t, we explain it away or assume it wasn’t God’s will.

But what if… sometimes… it’s not about God withholding—
It’s about us not moving?

Faith was never meant to be stationary.

Those lepers didn’t have guarantees. They had uncertainty. But they also had enough belief to take a step. And when they moved, God had already gone before them—clearing the path, preparing the provision, making a way where there was none.

Too many of us are waiting in the “gate” of life—
Waiting for the answer, waiting for confirmation, waiting for perfect conditions.

Meanwhile, God is asking:
“Do you believe what you just prayed?”

Faith is not sitting in the nest waiting for provision to fall from above.
Faith gets up. Faith walks. Faith expects.

God honors belief that moves.

So today, ask yourself honestly:
Am I praying with expectation… or with hesitation?
Am I asking in faith… or asking with doubt already in my heart?

Don’t just pray—move.
Don’t just hope—act.
Don’t just ask—believe.

Because when faith takes a step, God reveals the miracle.

πŸ“Œ Giving Tuesday: A Call That Cannot Wait

On this first Giving Tuesday of May, I’m asking you to pause… and look beyond your world for just a moment.

In the Philippines, for many families, life is not lived in comfort—it’s lived in survival. A full day’s work may bring in just $3–$8. That’s not hourly… that’s daily. Imagine trying to feed your children, provide shelter, and meet basic needs on that amount. Choices are not about convenience—they are about necessity. Food or medicine. School or survival.

This is the reality for so many.

But this is also where Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International steps in.

We don’t just preach—we serve. We minister to the whole person:
🧠 Mind — through truth and teaching
πŸ’ͺ Body — through outreach, aid, and support
❤️ Soul — through compassion and care
✨ Spirit — through the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ

Every prayer you pray… every dollar you give… every act of support you extend… becomes a lifeline to someone who may have nowhere else to turn.

We cannot do this alone. And the truth is—we were never meant to.

So today, on this Giving Tuesday, I’m asking you to reach down deep in your generosity. Not out of obligation, but out of compassion. Not because you have to—but because you can.

Together, we are making a difference. Together, we are bringing hope where hope is scarce.

πŸ“š More Than Books — A Mission That Changes Lives

What if every book you purchased could help reach a soul, feed a family, or bring hope to someone across the world?

Welcome to the ministry bookstore:
πŸ‘‰ thewilltosucceed.homestead.com

This is not just a place to browse titles—it’s a gateway to impact.

Each book you see has been written with purpose, prayer, and a passion to speak truth into a world searching for answers. From faith-building encouragement to real-life struggles, identity, healing, and purpose—these resources are designed to strengthen your walk with God and challenge you to grow deeper.

But here’s what makes this bookstore different…

πŸ’‘ 100% of the proceeds go directly to support missionary outreach.

That means every purchase helps:
• Spread the gospel in the Philippines and across Asia
• Support outreach efforts to the underserved
• Fund critical ministry projects (churches, resources, and humanitarian aid)
• Bring hope to people who may have never heard the name of Jesus

You’re not just buying a book…
You’re helping write a new chapter in someone else’s life.

We often say, “The gospel is free—but getting it to the people is not.” This bookstore helps build that bridge.

So whether you’re looking for something to read, something to give, or something to grow from—start here. And know that your support is making an eternal difference.

πŸ™ Please pray for the ministry.
🀝 Stand with us in faith.

⏳ This Afternoon Could Change Eternity

Stop for a moment.

Life is moving faster than you think.
Days blur into weeks… weeks into years… and before long, a lifetime stands behind you instead of in front of you.

And one day—you will stand before God.

Not as you are seen by others…
But as you truly are.

Every opportunity.
Every moment.
Every chance to share the Gospel… accounted for.

What will you say?

When you remember the conversations you avoided…
The nudges you felt but ignored…
The doors God opened that you never walked through…

This isn’t about guilt—this is about responsibility.

Because chances—first, second, fiftieth, even one-hundredth chances—
exist on this side of the grave ONLY.

Once time runs out… opportunity does too.

But right now?
You still have breath.
You still have a voice.
You still have influence.

That means you still have a mission.

Jesus didn’t call us to sit—He called us to GO.
To reach. To speak. To act. To love. To share.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, we are taking this Gospel beyond walls, beyond borders, and into places where hope is needed most.

But we cannot do it alone.

πŸ‘‰ Visit: pomitaly.homestead.com
πŸ‘‰ Pray like it matters—because it does
πŸ‘‰ Give like lives depend on it—because they do
πŸ‘‰ Share this message like eternity is at stake—because it is

This afternoon is not just another part of your day…
It’s another opportunity to make your life count.

Don’t let it pass you by.

🌍 Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International — A Mission That Moves Beyond Borders

Established in 1998 at the U.S. Naval Support Activity Gaeta, Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International (POMI) was born out of a calling that refused to stay confined within walls.

Founded by James Langston, LT, U.S. Navy (Retired), this ministry began with a simple yet powerful mandate—take the Gospel wherever God opens the door.

That mandate is anchored in The Bible, Mark 16:15:
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

And that’s exactly what POMI is doing.

From its military roots in Italy to its expanding outreach across the Philippines and Asia, this is not just a ministry—it’s a mission in motion.

What We Do:
• Preach and teach the uncompromised Word of God
• Reach underserved and unreached communities
• Provide food, resources, and humanitarian aid
• Prepare communities for natural disasters before they strike
• Minister to the whole person—mind, body, soul, and spirit

At its core, Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International exists for one purpose: souls.
Not programs. Not platforms. Not popularity. Souls.

Every outreach, every message, every act of service is driven by the belief that lives can be transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.

But missions like this are not carried by one—they are carried by many.

πŸ”₯ Monday Momentum: Don’t Just Start the Week—IGNITE It πŸ”₯

It’s Monday.

Not just the start of another week…
It’s the opening of a window. An opportunity. A moment that will not come again.

Somewhere right now, a child is waking up wondering if today will bring food… or more hunger.
A mother is scanning the sky, hoping the clouds hold back just a little longer.
A family is holding together what little they have, praying it doesn’t slip through their fingers.

And here you are…

Breath in your lungs. Strength in your body. Opportunity in your hands.

That’s not coincidence—that’s calling.

Because Monday isn’t just about what you need to get done…
It’s about what God wants to do through you.

This is your moment to:
• Give when it would be easier to wait
• Pray when others scroll past
• Act when others hesitate

The difference between impact and intention is action.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, we’re not waiting for the need to grow louder—we’re moving now. Reaching the unreached. Feeding the hungry. Preparing for storms before they strike.

But we can’t do it alone.

πŸ‘‰ Visit: pomitaly.homestead.com
πŸ‘‰ Pray with us.
πŸ‘‰ Give as God leads.
πŸ‘‰ Share this message like someone’s life depends on it—because it does.

Let this be the Monday you didn’t just live through
Let it be the Monday you changed something.

The week is in front of you.
The choice is in your hands.

Move. Give. Pray. Go.
