WHEN DID WE STOP LISTENING TO EACH OTHER?
Somewhere along the way, America forgot how to disagree without hating each other.
Families are divided over politics.
Friendships are ending over opinions.
People are judged by one post, one sentence, one vote, or one mistake.
And social media—meant to connect us—has often become a battlefield of outrage, mockery, anger, and noise.
But here’s the uncomfortable question:
What happens to a nation when nobody listens anymore?
Not every person who disagrees with you is your enemy.
Not every differing opinion deserves cancellation.
And not every argument needs to become a war.
We have become quick to react and slow to understand.
Meanwhile:
• anxiety is rising
• loneliness is growing
• depression is increasing
• families are struggling
• people are spiritually exhausted
• and many Americans quietly feel forgotten
We can debate policies without destroying people.
We can stand for truth without losing compassion.
We can defend convictions without losing our humanity.
At the end of the day, America does not just need louder voices.
America needs healing.
America needs wisdom.
America needs humility.
America needs God.
At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International (pomitaly.homestead.com), we believe kindness still matters, prayer still matters, truth still matters, and people still matter.
Before you post in anger today…
Before you cut someone off…
Before you assume the worst…
Pause for a moment and remember:
The person on the other side of the screen may be fighting battles you know nothing about.
Let’s be better.
Let’s listen again.
Let’s rebuild what outrage has broken.
“A nation divided against itself cannot stand.” — Abraham Lincoln
