THE RAINS ARE COMING. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

On June 1, the six-month rainy season officially begins in the Philippines.

For many, that's just a weather report.

For millions of families, it's a season of uncertainty, flooding, landslides, damaged homes, lost livelihoods, hunger, displacement, and sometimes even death.

My wife and I were there in 2025. We saw the aftermath. We spoke with families whose homes were underwater. We watched people try to rebuild their lives with almost nothing. We witnessed the fear in parents' eyes, as they wondered how they would feed their children if another storm hit.

This is not a headline to us.

These are real people. Real families. Real children.

The hardest part? Most of the suffering happens far from the cameras. Out of sight often becomes out of mind.

But the need is no less urgent.

This year's goal is $12,500.

Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International is now preparing to help, where and when we can, with emergency assistance, food, encouragement, outreach, and practical support in the months ahead.

We cannot stop the storms.

But together, we can help people survive them.
