More Than Words: The Blessing of Giving in Action

📖 “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35

When it comes to giving—your time, talent, abilities, energy, effort, and finances—the easiest part is often what we say: “God bless.” “God will make a way.” “Trust God.” “God’s got this.”

But real commitment is not proven by words—it is revealed through action.

As we move into the next phase of our missionary work in the Philippines, the need is real, urgent, and ongoing. Lives are being touched, families are being restored, and hope is being planted where despair once lived. But this work cannot continue on good intentions alone.

We need prayer warriors who will stand in the gap.
We need men and women of faith who will believe with us.
And yes—we need those who will support this mission financially.

Acts 20:35 reminds us that giving is not a loss—it is a blessing. It is an investment in lives, in souls, in eternity.

Please, do your best—and help us help them.

Why Did God Create Humanity? The Truth Behind Genesis 1:27

📖 “So God created man in His own image…” — Genesis 1:27

Why did God create us? Was He lonely? Bored? In need of companionship or worship?

Before we answer that, we must understand one powerful word: Aseity.

Aseity means that God is completely self-existent. He is the uncaused Cause, the uncreated Creator. He depends on nothing and no one. Everything that exists draws its life from Him—but He draws life from no one. As Isaiah 46:9 declares, “I am God, and there is no other.”

So let’s settle this clearly:
God did not create humanity because He lacked anything.

He was not lonely.
He was not incomplete.
He was not searching for meaning.

God is fullness—perfect in Himself.

So why create us?

Because of love.

God created humanity to know Him, love Him, and have fellowship with Him. Not because He needed us—but because He desired us. There is a difference.

In the beginning, Adam and Eve walked in that reality. They lived in a perfect world with perfect fellowship—no separation, no shame, no distance. They knew God, and they were known by Him.

That was the design.

Here’s the truth in simple terms:
God didn’t create you to fill a void in Him—He created you so you could experience the fullness found in Him.

You are not an accident.
You are not an afterthought.
You were created for relationship—with the One who made you.

And even though sin disrupted that fellowship, God never abandoned His purpose. From Genesis to today, His desire remains the same: to restore that relationship.

So the question is not just “Why did God create us?”
The real question is: Will we respond to the reason He did?

The Need Is Real — And The Time Is Now

My wife and I were in the Philippines from March–September 2025. What we experienced was more than an orientation—it was a true “boots on the ground” reality.

We didn’t just hear about the need… we saw it.
We didn’t just read about the suffering… we felt it.

The need is real.
The suffering is real.
And so is the urgent call to rebuild lives, homes, hearts, and families.

This is no small task. But with your prayers, your faith, and your generous support—we can make a difference.

📖 “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” — Genesis 18:14

Through Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, we are working to minister to the whole person—mind, body, soul, and spirit.

Here are just a few of the projects underway:

• Providing food and essential supplies to struggling families
• Supporting medical and dental outreach for underserved communities
• Sponsoring and educating school-age children
• Hosting tent revivals and evangelistic services
• Building and strengthening local churches and community centers
• Offering spiritual counseling, prayer, and discipleship

Each effort is connected—because true transformation is not just physical or spiritual alone, but complete.

We believe in restoring dignity, renewing hope, and pointing lives back to Jesus Christ.

But we cannot do this alone.

Your support is not just appreciated—it is essential.

When you give, you are helping feed the hungry, care for the sick, educate a child, and most importantly, share the life-changing message of the Gospel.

The need is urgent—but so is the opportunity. Together, through Christ, we can bring hope where it is needed most.

Week 15 — Hold On to His Hand

Welcome to the 15th week of the year — April 12–19, 2026.

As this week begins, I pray that God will give you strength through each and every “hiccup” you encounter. Life has a way of catching us off guard—unexpected moments, sudden challenges, and shifting circumstances. But even in the surprises, nothing takes God by surprise.

So whatever this week holds, hold on.

Hold on to your faith.
Hold on to His promises.
And above all, do NOT let go of the nail-scarred hand of Jesus Christ.

There will be highs and lows. There will be moments when you feel steady—and moments when you feel shaken. But in every step, He is there. Not distant… not unaware… but present, guiding, strengthening, and sustaining you.

In your patience and endurance, I pray the Lord will bless you with peace that calms your spirit, joy that lifts your heart, faith that anchors your soul, patience that steadies your steps, and wisdom that directs your path.

You may not control what comes your way this week—but you can choose who you walk with through it.

And when you walk with Jesus, you never walk alone.

Closing Thought:
This week may test you—but it can also strengthen you. Stay anchored, stay faithful, and keep your hand in His.

Good Morning — A New Day, A Fresh Grace

As we begin this Sunday, April 12, 2026, remember this simple but powerful truth:

Today is not just another day—it is a gift.

A fresh opportunity to walk closer with God, to realign your heart, and to step into His purpose for your life. Yesterday is behind you. The mistakes, the worries, the unanswered questions—they do not define this day.

God’s mercies are new this morning.

No matter what you face today, you do not face it alone. The same God who carried you yesterday is already ahead of you today—making a way, opening doors, and strengthening you for whatever lies ahead.

So take a moment… breathe… and place this day into His hands.

🙏 Let’s Pray Together:

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts for the gift of this new day. Thank You for life, for breath, and for another opportunity to draw closer to You.

Lord, guide our steps today. Guard our hearts and minds. Give us wisdom in every decision, peace in every situation, and strength for every challenge.

Help us to walk in love, to speak with grace, and to reflect Your light in everything we do. When we feel weak, remind us that You are our strength. When we feel uncertain, remind us that You are our guide.

Bless every person reading this today. Meet them right where they are. Provide for their needs, heal what is broken, and restore what has been lost.

And above all, Lord, keep us mindful of You in every moment.

We give this day to You—fully and completely.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closing Thought:
Walk into this day with faith, not fear—God is already there waiting for you.

“No Other gods Before Me — A Quiet Warning We Often Miss”

📖 “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” — Exodus 20:3

Did you know that anything can become a “god” in your life?

Sometimes it’s intentional. Other times, it happens quietly… subtly… almost unnoticed. But the outcome is the same—you begin to place more importance on that thing than on your relationship with God.

Many will shake their heads and say, “That’s absurd.”
But facts are facts.

How many parents will defend their children tooth and nail when they are wronged—yet remain silent when the Lord’s name is taken in vain?

You may say, “That’s different.”
But how?

Others will place their faith and future in the hands of people—a doctor, banker, lawyer, teacher, boss, or even a spouse—but seldom take time to truly pray about it.

It may seem small… even harmless.

But when you begin to lean away from depending on the Lord in everything, you may soon find yourself not depending on Him for anything.

“Not me,” you say.

Those same words echo through history—spoken once by a man named Peter, who was certain of his devotion… until he wasn’t.

The truth is, anything that replaces God at the center of your trust, your time, or your devotion has quietly taken His place.

And the danger is not always loud—it’s often silent.

Closing Thought:
What we prioritize reveals what we truly worship.

Question:
What in your life might be quietly competing for the place that belongs only to God?
