The Power of a Praying Grandmother

Over the years, I’ve heard countless testimonies that all seem to echo the same powerful truth: “I would not be here today had she not prayed for me.”

That “she” is often a grandmother—faithful, steadfast, and unshaken in her belief that God hears and answers prayer.

There is something sacred about a praying grandmother. She may not stand behind a pulpit, write books, or travel the world—but she knows how to touch Heaven. Quietly. Consistently. Powerfully.

While others slept, she prayed.
While others doubted, she believed.
While others gave up, she held on.

And long after her voice grew quiet, her prayers continued to speak.

Lives were spared.
Paths were redirected.
Souls were saved.

Not by chance—but by prayer.

My book, GrandMamma’s Prayers (2nd Edition) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DC6L74FR), is more than a story—it is a testimony. It is my story. And if you had a praying grandmother, then in many ways… it is your story too.

Because somewhere in your life, there were moments you didn’t even realize you were being carried—covered by prayers you didn’t hear, strengthened by faith you didn’t see.

Let this be a reminder: Never underestimate the power of a single praying voice.

And if your grandmother is no longer here, her prayers are not gone—they are still bearing fruit.

So today, honor her legacy.

Pray for your children.
Pray for your grandchildren.
Pray for those who don’t yet know the Lord.

Because one day, someone may stand and say about you:

“I would not be here today… had they not prayed for me.”

Day 97: Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving

Today marks the 97th day of the year—a reminder that time is moving, seasons are shifting, and God is still worthy of our praise.

Let’s begin this day the right way: with praise, worship, and prayer.

📖 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise…” (Psalm 100:4)

Before the demands of the day press in… before the noise of the world fills your mind… take a moment to acknowledge God.

Thank Him for life.
Thank Him for breath.
Thank Him for another opportunity to walk in purpose.

Praise shifts the atmosphere. Worship realigns the heart. Prayer connects us to the power and presence of God.

No matter what yesterday held—victory or struggle—today is a new opportunity to draw closer to Him.

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you praise Him. Praise Him now. Worship Him now. Pray now.

➡️ If you’re weary—He is your strength
➡️ If you’re uncertain—He is your guide
➡️ If you’re burdened—He is your peace

Start this day with gratitude, and watch how it changes your perspective.

Let this be the day you walk into His presence intentionally—not casually, not distracted—but with a heart full of thanksgiving.

Take a moment right now and say:

“Lord, I thank You for this day. I honor You. I trust You. Lead me, guide me, and use me for Your glory.”

And as you go forward, carry that spirit of praise with you.

Because when you enter His gates with thanksgiving—you don’t leave the same way you came.

Was Jesus Born Saved? And How Did He Walk in Victory?

These are questions many quietly wrestle with: Was Jesus born saved? And if He lived as a man anointed by God, how did He walk in victory?

First—Jesus was not “born saved” in the way fallen humanity needs salvation. He is the sinless Son of God (Luke 1:35). Salvation is for the guilty; Jesus was never guilty. He did not need redemption—He is our Redeemer.

Now the deeper question: How did He walk in victory as a man?

Scripture shows us clearly. Jesus lived as the perfect man in complete dependence upon the Father, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

📖 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…” (Luke 4:18)
📖 “The Son can do nothing of Himself…” (John 5:19)

He did not operate independently, but in submission, obedience, and faith. His victory was not self-willed—it was God-directed.

So what was His pattern?

👉 He trusted the Father completely
👉 He obeyed the Word without compromise
👉 He relied on the Holy Spirit continually
👉 He rejected sin and temptation through truth (Matthew 4)
👉 And ultimately—He embraced the Cross

Here is the key: Jesus’ victory was secured at the Cross, and that same Cross is the believer’s victory.

We do not overcome by our strength, intellect, or effort. We overcome by faith in what Christ finished at Calvary.

📖 “God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross…” (Galatians 6:14)

Jesus showed us how to live—but He also provided what we could never produce: redemption, righteousness, and power through His sacrifice.

Victory is not achieved—it is received.

So how do we walk as He walked?

➡️ Keep your faith anchored in the Cross
➡️ Depend on the Holy Spirit daily
➡️ Walk in obedience to God’s Word
➡️ Trust the Father in all things

The same Spirit that empowered Him now dwells in every believer.

And because of the Cross—you don’t fight for victory… you live from victory.
