📌 A Thought for Today — December 14, 2025
“More Than Meat and Drink”

Romans 14:17 reminds us of a truth that is easy to forget in a noisy, opinion-driven world:

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink;
but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

True Christianity has never been—and will never be—about the shallow things people argue over. It cannot be reduced to divisions, preferences, petty debates, or endless lists of man-made rules. Yes, where the Bible clearly says, “Thou shalt” or “Thou shalt not,” we obey without hesitation. But beyond that, so much of what people fight over is nothing more than opinion—and opinions don’t impress God.

Opinions stir arguments.
Opinions divide families.
Opinions distract believers.
Opinions even lead innocent people astray, pulling them into confusion and “every wind of doctrine.”

But the Holy Spirit calls us to something higher. Something deeper. Something eternal.

Our chief concern is not to win arguments, but to walk in:

✨ Righteousness — living uprightly before God,
✨ Peace — refusing to be pulled into unnecessary conflict,
✨ Joy — letting the Holy Ghost fill us with what this world cannot give.

If we will focus on these three pillars of the Kingdom, our spiritual footing will be steady, our witness will be bright, and our hearts will remain anchored in truth.

May this Sunday remind you that the Kingdom is bigger than opinions—and stronger than the noise of this world.

Good morning, and happy Sunday!
Today is more than a date on the calendar—it is a gift from God, wrapped in mercy, tied with grace, and handed to you with love. Before the day becomes busy, pause and breathe in this truth:

If God allowed you to wake up today, He has a purpose waiting for you today.

No matter how yesterday felt—heavy, hopeful, or somewhere in between—this morning carries new strength, new direction, and new opportunities to walk closer with Jesus Christ. As we move deeper into this Christmas season, may your heart be lifted with the reminder that the Savior who came to us is the same Savior who walks with us.

Father, thank You for this beautiful Sunday morning. I give You this day—my thoughts, my steps, my choices, and my heart. 📌 A New Week, A New Beginning

Last week is history—sealed, finished, and placed behind you.
This week, however, stands before you like a fresh page in a brand-new chapter.
Maybe your surroundings haven’t changed. Maybe your responsibilities look the same. Maybe nothing in your world feels “new.” But opportunity doesn’t always show up with fireworks—sometimes it quietly waits in ordinary moments.

We pray this week opens doors you didn’t expect, gives strength you didn’t know you needed, and brings clarity where things once felt cloudy. We pray you end this week not just relieved, but grateful—grateful for the blessings, the lessons, the victories, and even the challenges that shaped you.

And more than anything, we pray that seven days from now, you can say with confidence:
“I am one step closer to Jesus Christ than I was before.”

Walk into this week with faith.
Walk into this week with hope.
Walk into this week believing God is already ahead of you, preparing the way.

📌 Sunday, December 14, 2025 — Daily Devotional

“Strength for the Steps You Haven’t Taken Yet”

Some mornings you wake up feeling strong, ready, and confident. Other mornings you rise feeling like you’re starting at zero—emotionally tired, spiritually drained, or simply overwhelmed by what lies ahead. Yet here is the comfort we often forget:

God does not give you strength for yesterday’s battles.

He gives you strength for today’s steps.

Isaiah 33:2 says,

“Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of trouble.”

Notice the phrase every morning.

God refreshes, renews, and refills you daily—not weekly, not monthly, not when things get desperate. His mercies are new this morning, His presence is with you this morning, and His strength is available this morning.

Maybe today you need clarity.

Maybe you need hope.

Maybe you need courage to rise again.

Or maybe you simply need to be reminded that God is not asking you to walk this day alone.

Whatever today holds, God is already in it. Whatever you fear, He has already conquered it. Whatever you cannot see, He has already prepared the path.

So take a breath.

Lift your heart.

And walk into this day knowing God goes before you, walks beside you, and strengthens you for every step ahead.

When GPS Becomes God — And Why It Shouldn’t

In a world filled with screens, satellites, and systems, it’s amazing how quickly people will trust a device they can hold in their hands more than the God who holds them in His.

Today, more than ever, people trust GPS over Jesus, directions over discernment, and devices over divine wisdom. Why? Because they say:
“I can see it. I can touch it. I can control it.”

But control is an illusion—and technology is far from perfect.

A pastor friend of mine followed his GPS to what he thought was the church he was scheduled to preach at.
He ended up in a graveyard.

My wife and daughter once followed their GPS to a so-called store location.
It led them to a vacant lot.

And another person was instructed to turn right at a certain point—
a turn that would have sent them plummeting into a ravine.

So why do so many trust “things” more than they trust God?
Because they can hold the device… yet struggle to hold on to faith.

But as the old song says,
“I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold.”

Your choice is your decision—
but you must be willing to live with the consequences,
both short-term and long-term,
of trusting a device that can fail
versus trusting a God who never does.

Choose your guide wisely.
Only one leads to life.
