🪞 Who’s Really to Blame?

Let’s Talk About the Mirror, Not the Devil

We live in a world where the Devil often gets more credit than he deserves.

Every time something falls apart, goes sideways, or crumbles beneath us—he’s the first name we call out. From failed marriages to financial struggles, from anxiety to global chaos, the Devil becomes the convenient scapegoat.

And yes… he is real.
He is a deceiver.
He is active.
He is relentless.

But so is our own will.
So is our own desire.
So is our own disobedience.

📖 The Bible Pulls No Punches:

“But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.”
— James 1:14 (NIV)

That verse doesn’t say the Devil dragged us away.
It says we are—by our own inner pull.

It’s time we stop hiding behind the Devil and start confronting the one who often sabotages our walk with God:
The person in the mirror.

🙌 The Power of Honest Reflection

We all have blind spots—areas we don’t want to admit need refining. But the beauty of grace is that it doesn’t condemn us—it calls us higher. We are not victims of the enemy. We are victors in Christ.

You are not a puppet.
You are not powerless.
You are not condemned.

You are redeemed.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so…” – Psalm 107:2

The time has come to start living like it.

In today’s world, news isn’t always what it appears to be.

Far too often, what’s labeled as “breaking news” or “exclusive coverage” is simply a version of the truth, carefully crafted to fit a particular narrative. Instead of giving people the facts and trusting them to form their own conclusions, too much of today’s media chooses to spoon-feed society with opinions disguised as objectivity.

That’s not truth.
That’s manipulation.

💬 The Problem Isn’t a Lack of Information… It’s the Lack of Integrity

We live in the most connected, most informed generation in human history. Information is everywhere. But truth? Truth is increasingly rare.

Turn on the news. Browse your feed. Scroll a trending hashtag. What you’ll often find is not factual reporting, but a version of reality shaped by political pressure, cultural preference, or financial gain.

We were never meant to live under filtered facts.
We were never meant to be told what to think.
We were meant to be informed, not indoctrinated.

🛑 Stop Telling People What to Think. Start Giving Them What’s True.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, we’re not journalists, but we are truth-seekers. And we believe the Bible when it says, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

🕊️ The Final Day of July 2025: A Time to Reflect and Reset

As the calendar flips its last page for July, a unique thought strikes:
It will be one hundred years before we see the digits 25 in a year again—2125 to be exact.

Pause on that for a moment.

It places this day—July 31, 2025—into perspective. A day like today will not return in your lifetime. It reminds us that time is not just passing; it’s precious. And how we end one month can shape how we begin the next.

Maybe July was a month of unexpected blessings, answered prayers, or long-awaited breakthroughs. If so, give God praise.

Or maybe July was a month where you just squeaked by—heavy with burdens, delays, setbacks, or simply survival. If so, don’t hang your head in defeat. The calendar is about to turn, and August 1 is on the horizon.

🌅 A New Month, A New Mindset

Scripture tells us in Isaiah 43:18–19:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up—do you not perceive it?”

Let the past stay in the past—not because it didn’t matter, but because it doesn’t have the authority to dictate your future. Whether you triumphed or toiled in July, you are not the sum of one month’s events. God is still writing your story.
