Title: When the Rain Doesn’t Stop, Neither Do We
Subtitle: Life, Missions, and a New School Year in the Philippines

Over four decades ago, I was stationed at NTCC Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines. I served there for four years, living in base housing in San Miguel and later Binictican. That was 41 years ago. Life felt like a rhythm of duty, discipline, and discovery.

Truthfully, I don’t remember much about the typhoon seasons back then. From the comfort of military housing, the rain was more of a backdrop than a disruption.

Fast forward to today — and we’re witnessing it all firsthand.
Not from a distance. Not from the safety of a barracks.
But from the heart of the community.

And in a word? Wet.

The rain is constant. Streets become rivers. Plans change. Roads vanish.
But you know what doesn’t stop?

Life.
Breath.
Ministry.
The Gospel.
Bible study.
Our commitment.

We keep going — because the people don’t stop needing help.
The Word of God doesn’t stop being true.
And hope never stops being necessary.

📚 SCHOOL HAS BEGUN — BUT MANY CAN’T BEGIN WITH IT

On June 16, the 2025–2026 school year officially started here in the Philippines. But unlike other places where kids fill classrooms with bright eyes and sharpened pencils, here… many kids are watching from the sidelines.

They want to go to school.
They need to go to school.
But they can’t — simply because they cannot afford it.

And we’re not talking about extravagance. We're talking about:

  • Basic uniforms

  • Modest daily transportation

  • One or two simple meals

  • Books and school supplies

For many families, this is a burden too heavy to bear. The result? Smart, capable, God-gifted children falling through the cracks.

💡 WHAT IF…?

“An uneducated child is not just a tragedy of poverty — it is a missed opportunity to change the world.”

What if just one of these children you help sponsor becomes the person who finds a cure for cancer?
Or becomes the teacher who raises up the next generation of leaders?
Or the pastor who leads a revival in their nation?

What if your generosity today changes everything for someone tomorrow?

Wouldn’t that be worth it?

🙏 WE NEED YOUR HELP

We’re asking for help to sponsor at least 30 children this school year.

We estimate that $3,000 per month will cover the basic costs for:

✔️ Uniforms
✔️ Transportation
✔️ Daily meals
✔️ Educational materials
✔️ School fees

You may not be able to help all 30… but what if you could help just one?

Let’s give these children not just a seat in the classroom —
but a shot at the future.

🕯️ When Time Runs Out: A Call to Wake Up and Choose Eternity

More than 150,000 people across the globe will take their final breath today. For many, death will come as no surprise — the result of a long illness, old age, or a known condition. But for tens of thousands more, it will strike without warning. No goodbye. No final embrace. No chance to prepare.

A father won’t make it home tonight.
A child’s laughter will go silent.
A mother’s arms will be forever still.
A friend, a neighbor, a spouse — gone. In the blink of an eye, they’re no longer here.

It sounds sobering — even morbid — but truth often is.

Death is not an interruption of life. It is part of life. And if we spend all our days running from that reality, we’ll be unprepared when it finally knocks on our door.

The question most left behind will ask is “Why?”
Why them? Why now? Why so suddenly?

While many questions about life and death remain unanswered, the most important one is not “Why?” — but “Are you ready?”

The Bible offers no ambiguity on this issue:

“It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)

Death is not the end — it’s a doorway. What lies beyond it is eternal. And the path you walk in this life determines where that path leads.

That’s not speculation. That’s Scripture.

Romans 10:9–10 lays out the invitation clearly:

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

It is not about religion.
It is not about ritual.
It’s about relationship with the One who died so you could live — not just for today, but for eternity.

You have a choice.
You can live as if this world is all there is,
Or you can live with eternity in view.

You have a decision.
To accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ,
Or to ignore it and hope the unknown somehow favors you.

One road leads to eternal life.
The other… to eternal separation.

It’s your soul. It’s your future. It’s your move.

Before this day ends, before this hour fades, make the decision that will matter long after your time on earth has expired.

Because one day — maybe even today — you’ll be the one whose name is not called again.

Make today count.

 📜 Good Afternoon Reflection — July 10, 2025

191 Days In: What Will Heaven Remember About You?
Visit us at 👉 pomitaly.homestead.com

We’ve officially arrived at the 191st day of the year.

Take a moment. Reflect.

Out of all the goals you’ve pursued this year—professional, personal, financial, or physical—have you done anything yet that all of Heaven will talk about for eternity?

That’s not a question of guilt. It’s a call to eternal perspective.

🌍 This world races by, faster with every headline.
📈 Achievements rise and fall.
💼 Careers change.
💬 Trends fade.

But what we do for the Kingdom of God? That remains.

As the Apostle Paul urged, "Only what is done for Christ will last." And sometimes, eternal impact doesn’t begin with a grand gesture—it begins with a prayer.

🌾 How You Can Start Today

If you're not sure what you've done this year that echoes in eternity, don’t feel condemned. Feel invited. Today is a beautiful opportunity to begin—or begin again.

Here’s how:

🙏 Pray for our missionaries.
They’re in the trenches—in the villages, marketplaces, churches, and schools of the Philippines and greater Asia—ministering to the broken, feeding the hungry, and spreading the hope of Jesus Christ.

🤝 Believe with us.
We’re trusting God for open doors, divine appointments, and transformed lives. When you add your faith to ours, it multiplies the reach and power of what we’re doing.

💌 Give as you’re led.
We can’t do this work alone. Your donation—no matter the size—helps provide Bibles, food, school supplies, discipleship training, and the daily needs of those who serve and are being served.

📍 Could You Help Us Help Them?

Every day, the needs are many—but the opportunities are greater.

If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to make a difference this year, this is it.

You can be the reason a family hears the gospel, a child receives an education, or a village is transformed by faith. All of Heaven rejoices over one soul. Imagine what Heaven will say about your role in reaching many.

🙏 Afternoon Prayer

Lord, grant us success in our mission. Strengthen the hands of our missionaries. Open hearts in every city and village. Move upon those reading this to stand with us in prayer, in faith, and in giving. Let this day mark a turning point for eternal impact. In Jesus’ name, amen.

⏳ A Limited Time to Complete a Lifetime of Work

By Pilgrim Outreach Ministries

A few minutes ago, I was quietly reflecting when the Lord reminded me of a sobering truth He first impressed upon my heart years ago:

“You have been given a limited amount of time to complete a lifetime of work.”

The words hit differently this time—sharper, clearer, more urgent. I believe this is not just a personal call but a collective one. It’s a reminder for every follower of Christ: our time on this earth is limited.

We’re not promised tomorrow. And whatever time we do have, it’s not simply ours to spend—it’s a gift to be stewarded. We have been entrusted with a mission: to reach a lost and dying world with the life-giving gospel of Jesus Christ.

We don’t have time to doddle.
We don’t have time to waste.
We don’t have time to keep putting off what God has placed in our hearts to do.

My prayer today is simple:
Lord, make us urgent. Make us ready. Make us faithful.
Let us work while it is yet day—for the night comes when no man can work (John 9:4).

We ask you to pray with us. Stand with us. Serve with us. Give as the Lord leads you. Help us carry out the tremendous responsibility the Lord has entrusted to us—to preach the gospel wherever we go, to whomever we can, however God opens the door.

We invite you to visit our ministry site, learn more, and see how you can be a part of the harvest:

Time is short. But the mission is eternal.

The 3 Most Asked Questions About Heaven, Salvation, and God's Love

Visit us at: pomitaly.homestead.com

For decades, through ministry and mission, we’ve heard many heartfelt and honest questions. But three stand out—three that repeatedly arise from both new seekers and seasoned believers. These aren’t just theological inquiries—they’re soul-deep cries for clarity in a world full of confusion.

Let’s walk through them together, with open hearts and open Bibles.

❓ Question 1: Is Heaven and Hell Literal or Figurative?

🔎 What the Bible Says:

Many people today are taught that heaven and hell are outdated ideas or symbolic metaphors. But Scripture paints a very different picture—one of actual, eternal destinations.

  • Heaven is described as a prepared place for God’s people. Jesus said,
“In My Father’s house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2–3).
Heaven is real. It’s where God dwells, where His children will one day be with Him forever.

  • Hell, or “Gehenna,” is no less real. Jesus warned,
“Fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28).
It is a place of eternal separation from God—a place not meant for man, but for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41).

The final judgment confirms this sobering truth:
“These shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal” (Matthew 25:46).

✅ Conclusion:

Heaven and hell are not figments of the imagination. They are destinies, not metaphors. And the decision we make about Christ now will determine which door we walk through later.

❓ Question 2: How Do You Know That Jesus Is the Only Way?

🔎 What the Bible Says:

This question is often asked with sincerity—and sometimes resistance. But Scripture speaks with clarity, not confusion.

  • Jesus didn’t say He was a way—He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father but by Me” (John 14:6).

  • The apostles affirmed this truth: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

  • Paul reminds us in 1 Timothy 2:5, “There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

Jesus is the only bridge between a holy God and sinful humanity. His sinless life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection are unmatched by any religious figure in history.

✅ Conclusion:

Jesus is the only way because He is the only One who conquered sin and rose from the grave. Christianity isn’t exclusive—it’s inclusive through one door: the Cross.

❓ Question 3: If God Is So Loving, Why Doesn’t He Intervene More Often in the World?

🔎 What the Bible Says:

This is perhaps the most emotionally charged question—and rightly so. In a world full of war, tragedy, injustice, and suffering, people ask: “Where is God in all of this?”

The truth is—He is near. But He also allows humanity to choose.

  • “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise... but is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish” (2 Peter 3:9).

  • “He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust” (Matthew 5:45).

And the greatest intervention in history was when God sent His only Son to die for the sins of the world.

  • “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

✅ Conclusion:

God hasn’t abandoned the world—He entered it. And He continues to work through His Spirit and His people. His delays are not denials. Often, they are doors of mercy giving us time to repent, believe, and become part of the healing.

🙏 Final Thought

You may still have questions—and that’s okay. But these three anchor points remind us that:

  • There is a real heaven to gain and a hell to shun.

  • Jesus is the only way to eternal life.

  • And God is intervening—even if not always in the ways we expect.

If you’re searching, seeking, or struggling—know this: God is not far from you. He’s calling, knocking, and inviting you to trust Him.

✍️ BLOG POST (for Blogspot)

Post Title: “Coming Back to the Old Landmark: Why Common Sense and Conviction Still Matter”

Fifty years ago, walking in truth, praying for your nation, and standing up for values was not only acceptable—it was admired. People who spoke with integrity and lived with conviction were called leaders, visionaries, even patriots.

Today, many of those same people are called something else—divisive, radicalized, counter-cultural, nonconformist, heretic, or worse.

Why?

Because in today’s world, standing up for faith, family, and freedom has somehow become controversial.

If you believe in America…
If you value the sacrifice of our military and first responders…
If you love God and pray for your nation’s leaders…
If you believe in the foundational principles of our republic…
You’ve likely felt the pressure to stay silent.

But silence isn’t the answer.

We at Pilgrim Outreach Ministries still believe in the promise of this nation. Not because it is perfect, but because it was built on principles that pointed to something higher—something greater. And we believe the way forward is not backward, but upward—back to God, back to prayer, back to the old landmark where families knelt together, communities gathered in churches, and truth mattered more than opinions.

There’s an old gospel song that says:

“It’s time we come back, to the old landmark, where we stayed in the presence of the Lord.”

We echo that today.

It’s time to return to prayer.
To the Word.
To honor.
To common sense.

If we don’t, we risk losing more than our values—we risk losing the soul of a nation.

Let this be your call to action. Don’t let the noise drown out the truth. America is still worth believing in, praying for, and fighting for.

Will you stand with us?

🕊️ Visit: pomitaly.homestead.com

📢 Share. Pray. Engage.
Let’s bring back the old landmark—together.
