๐Ÿ™ The Place Where Battles Are Won: Rediscovering the Power of the Prayer Closet

In a world filled with noise, pressure, and nonstop demands, the one place most often overlooked is also the most powerful—the prayer closet.

More problems can be solved in the prayer closet—through believing prayer, anchored in the Word of God—than anywhere else. In that quiet, sacred space, things begin to shift. Not always outwardly at first, but internally—in the heart, in the spirit, in the will.

Sadly, many believers today have become more familiar with bringing their burdens to pastors, counselors, or even social media, than with laying them before the throne of God. Yes, there are moments when pastoral guidance is essential. But the greatest breakthroughs, the most personal direction, and the deepest healing often happen in solitude with God.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Learning the Lost Art of Prayer

Prayer is not a ritual; it’s a relationship.
It’s not a backup plan; it’s the first response.
It’s not just speaking to God—but listening for His voice.

The Bible instructs us clearly in 1 Thessalonians 5:17:

"Pray without ceasing."
This is not just a verse for Sunday school memorization. It's a lifeline—a call to ongoing communion with our Creator.

The early church understood this. Jesus modeled this. And the saints throughout history—those who turned the world upside down—lived this.

We are called to abide in Him daily, not occasionally. To remain tethered to the presence of God throughout our day, not just during morning devotions. The prayer closet—whether a physical space or a posture of the heart—is where divine exchange happens.

๐Ÿ”ฅ What Happens in the Prayer Closet?

  • Burdens are lifted

  • Direction is given

  • Anxieties are traded for peace

  • Conviction leads to transformation

  • Heaven’s will is revealed for your next step

It’s where battles are won in private before they manifest in public.

๐ŸงŽ A Call to Rediscover the Quiet Place

The modern believer must return to what past generations knew well: that spiritual authority is cultivated in secret. Not in crowds. Not in status. Not in performance. But in humble, consistent, faith-filled prayer.

We must ask ourselves honestly:
Have we traded prayer for busyness?
Have we lost the urgency to seek God for ourselves?
Are we depending on others to hear from God when we could go directly to Him?

Friend, God is not far off. He’s near—and He’s calling you back to the place where your knees meet the floor and His presence meets your soul.

✨ Your Breakthrough May Be One Prayer Away

Don’t wait until the crisis forces you to pray. Learn to live in the presence of God daily. When you make prayer your first language, wisdom will flow, discernment will sharpen, and peace will anchor your heart.

๐Ÿ“– “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret…” — Matthew 6:6

๐Ÿ”— Ready to Go Deeper?

Let today be the day you recommit to consistent, believing prayer.
Make room for Him—and watch what He does in response.

๐ŸŒ #GivingTuesday: Go Ye Still—Because the Gospel Must Not Be Silenced

“And He said unto them, ‘Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.’”
Mark 16:15 (KJV)

The world is groaning.

Wars erupt. Economies collapse. Families unravel. Morality fades. Hope seems like a flickering flame—and yet, in the middle of it all, one truth remains unshaken:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Jesus Christ is still the Answer.
Not one of many. Not just an option.
The Way. The Truth. The Life.

And that’s why this #GivingTuesday, we are not retreating.
We’re pressing forward with boldness—boots on the ground and Bibles in hand.

Here at Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, we’ve spent years laboring in the harvest fields of the Philippines. Not in the limelight. Not in stadiums. But in dirt roads, crowded alleyways, storm-battered villages, and hearts that have been abandoned by the world but never forgotten by God.

We are feeding the hungry.
We are discipling the young.
We are praying with the sick.
We are preaching Jesus.

But we can’t do it alone. That’s where you come in.

๐Ÿ™ Why Give on #GivingTuesday?

Because the world can’t wait.
Because people need the Gospel now.
Because Jesus still saves, heals, and delivers.

Your gift today will help us:

  • Distribute Bibles and gospel tracts in remote communities

  • Provide food, clothing, and care to families in need

  • Support open-air evangelism and discipleship efforts

  • Strengthen local churches and pastors

  • Most of all: Preach Christ where His name is rarely spoken

๐Ÿ“ฃ A Message to the Church

Mark 16:15 wasn’t a suggestion. It was a command.

And if ever there was a time to go—it’s now.
If ever there was a time to give—it’s today.

We may not all be able to travel the globe, but we can all send the Gospel to places where it’s needed most.
When you give, you go.
When you send, you sow.
And every seed planted in faith will bear eternal fruit.

๐Ÿคฒ Will You Help Us Help Them?

We are your hands extended. Your feet in foreign places. Your heart for the hurting.
This Giving Tuesday, help us keep going. Keep preaching. Keep reaching.

๐ŸŒ Give today: http://pomitaly.homestead.com
Every dollar is a soul touched. Every gift is a prayer answered.

๐Ÿ•Š️ Life, Death, and Divine Healing: When God's Will is Final

Why do some people experience miraculous healing, while others—even the faithful—slip into eternity despite fervent prayers? This question echoes in hospital rooms, prayer circles, and hearts everywhere. It’s a question that doesn't just challenge our understanding—but humbles it.

Years ago, I heard a phrase that stayed with me: “We are born to die.” It struck me as cold and confusing at first. But over time, I’ve come to see it not as fatalistic, but as deeply sobering truth.

The Bible gives us two key insights about life:
๐Ÿ“ Length“It is appointed unto man once to die…” (Hebrews 9:27)
๐Ÿ•ฐ️ Time“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

These two truths shape our earthly journey. The Apostle Paul once said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7) But how many can truly say the same? Most of us get lost in the routines of life, unaware that every second ticking away is one step closer to eternity.

In one of my earlier books, I wrote, “We are given a limited amount of time to complete a lifetime of work.” That phrase still rings true. Whether through our diligence or our neglect, our decisions can affect the course and even the duration of our lives. But once that divine clock hits zero, there are no more second chances—what could’ve been done becomes a closed chapter.

So, back to the question:
Why are some healed, and others are not?
It comes down to length, time, and the will of God.

If a person’s divinely allotted time has run its course, no amount of prayer, fasting, or even faith can extend it—unless God wills it so. That’s a hard truth, but it is truth nonetheless.

Yet, there’s another layer: mission.
Did they complete their God-given assignment? If not, it remains incomplete throughout eternity unless God raises up another to carry the mantle.

Ultimately, the final say belongs to the Lord.
“In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:10)

Yes, pray with faith. Yes, believe for healing. But always remember—the outcome rests in God's sovereign hands. And when we say “Thy will be done,” we must say it not just with our lips, but with our hearts.

Let us live fully in the time we’ve been given—preaching, loving, serving, and completing our assignment while it is still day. For when night comes, no man can work.

 ๐Ÿ“– Daily Devotional – July 6, 2025

From James Langston’s “Words of Encouragement” (4th Edition)

๐Ÿ“œ Deliverance through Devotion

๐Ÿ“– Verse of the Day:
"Now, when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room… Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed…"
Daniel 6:10

Devotional Thought:

When laws change. When society shifts. When threats loom large. What will you do?

Daniel faced a situation no believer hopes to encounter. A royal edict—unchangeable by human hand—demanded that no one pray to any god or person except the king for thirty days. The consequences were clear: violation meant death in the lions’ den.

But Daniel didn’t panic. He didn’t go into hiding. He didn’t rationalize disobedience. He went home, opened his window toward Jerusalem, and prayed—just as he had always done. His strength didn’t come from adrenaline or defiance; it flowed from consistency. His discipline in prayer had formed a solid foundation, enabling him to stand firm when pressure mounted.

Devotion precedes deliverance. Daniel’s rescue didn’t begin in the lion’s den—it began in his prayer room. His quiet time with God was more powerful than any command of kings. It prepared him to face persecution, not with fear, but with faith.

We often cry out for deliverance in crisis, but neglect the daily devotion that builds spiritual resilience. Daniel’s story reminds us: the most courageous believers are often the most consistent ones.

๐Ÿงญ Devotional Reflection:

  • Is your faith steady when culture or circumstances change?

  • How consistent is your prayer life when no one is watching?

  • Are you waiting for a crisis to pray, or are you building a lifestyle that draws on God's strength daily?

When adversity comes—and it will—it’s not our strength that carries us through. It’s the habits we’ve formed in God’s presence. The world may roar like lions, but the one who kneels faithfully before God need not fear.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer:

Heavenly Father, strengthen my resolve to seek You daily. Give me Daniel’s boldness to remain faithful in prayer, no matter the cost. When trials arise, let my first response be devotion, not fear. May my private obedience invite Your public deliverance—and may all glory return to You alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

๐Ÿ“ BLOGSPOT EXPANDED POST

๐Ÿ“– Blog Title: The Whole Gospel for the Whole Person: Feeding More Than Bodies

Post Content:

“How can this help me now?”
That’s the question so many ask when they hear the Gospel for the first time—especially in developing nations. When the pressing needs of life scream louder than the voice of hope, people often respond with skepticism. And rightly so.

For millions across the globe, life is survival. The day-to-day grind of putting food on the table is a battle. When we come with spiritual promises and eternal truths, many wonder, “How can faith feed my family?”

And sadly, that’s where many Christians falter.

We either over-focus on the external—bringing aid, clothes, medicine—or we shy away from practical help altogether, choosing instead to “just preach.” But Jesus never divided the two.

Jesus always cared for the soul first, and then the body. When He met the woman at the well, He addressed her heart before her water bucket. When He healed the sick, He often said, “Your sins are forgiven” before saying, “Rise and walk.”

We are called to model this same ministry—one that sees both the invisible and the visible, the eternal and the immediate. True compassion doesn’t stop at the stomach; it reaches into the soul.

This is why Pilgrim Outreach Ministries does what we do. We live among the people. We pray with them, cry with them, eat with them, and walk with them. But most importantly, we bring the hope of Jesus Christ—the only lasting change there is.

The physical need is real. And we meet it, daily. But the soul's condition is eternal—and we cannot afford to ignore it.

So yes, we give rice. But we also give the Bread of Life.
We bring medicine. But we also offer the Great Physician.
We speak hope. But we also deliver it.

If the spiritual is restored… the physical will follow.

Let us be bold and balanced in our witness. Let’s preach the whole Gospel—to the whole person. Body and soul.

๐ŸŽฏ Help Us Bring Hope to 1,000 Families in the Philippines

A $55,000 Mission to Feed Bodies and Reach Souls

In the Philippines, many families wake up each morning with a question no one should have to ask:
“Will we eat today?”

This heartbreaking uncertainty is the daily reality for thousands. But it doesn’t have to be.

๐Ÿ•ฏ Are You Ready for That Moment?

๐Ÿ“… A Sobering Reflection | Pilgrim Outreach Ministries
๐Ÿ”— pomitaly.homestead.com

There are some topics we like to avoid—death being one of them.

Yet Hebrews 9:27 brings it to the forefront:
“It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.”

Those words may be unsettling, but they are undeniably true. Every one of us has an appointment we won’t be able to reschedule, delay, or cancel. One day, we will draw our final breath on this earth. The question we must all face is this:

Are you ready for that moment?

Some say that death is simply the end—that all goes silent. Others claim it will be a cosmic reunion or endless party. And still others, like me, believe the account that Scripture gives: after death comes judgment.

Not everyone accepts this. Critics say it’s myth, religious fable, or philosophical guesswork. But for centuries, the Bible—though relentlessly challenged and scrutinized—has stood as the most tested, preserved, and transformative book in all of history. And it speaks clearly: our souls will live on, either in eternal fellowship with God or eternal separation from Him.

This isn’t meant to frighten—it’s meant to awaken.
This isn’t about religion—it’s about relationship.
This isn’t a scare tactic—it’s a truth test.

Joshua, the great leader of Israel, put it this way in Joshua 24:15:
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

That wasn’t just a religious statement—it was a line in the sand. A declaration of who he would follow—not just in life, but in death.

And today, I echo that same decision. I’ve chosen to believe the Word of God. I’ve chosen to prepare for eternity. I’ve chosen to ask hard questions while there’s still time to answer them.

Will you?

๐Ÿ™ A Prayer to Consider:

Lord, help me not to fear death, but to prepare my heart for eternity. Open my eyes to the truth of Your Word and lead me into a saving relationship with You. I want to be ready—not just for the end—but for the beginning of forever with You. Amen.
