🕯 Are You Ready for That Moment?

There are some topics we like to avoid—death being one of them.

Yet Hebrews 9:27 brings it to the forefront:
“It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.”

Those words may be unsettling, but they are undeniably true. Every one of us has an appointment we won’t be able to reschedule, delay, or cancel. One day, we will draw our final breath on this earth. The question we must all face is this:

Are you ready for that moment?

Some say that death is simply the end—that all goes silent. Others claim it will be a cosmic reunion or endless party. And still others, like me, believe the account that Scripture gives: after death comes judgment.

Not everyone accepts this. Critics say it’s myth, religious fable, or philosophical guesswork. But for centuries, the Bible—though relentlessly challenged and scrutinized—has stood as the most tested, preserved, and transformative book in all of history. And it speaks clearly: our souls will live on, either in eternal fellowship with God or eternal separation from Him.

This isn’t meant to frighten—it’s meant to awaken.
This isn’t about religion—it’s about relationship.
This isn’t a scare tactic—it’s a truth test.

Joshua, the great leader of Israel, put it this way in Joshua 24:15:
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

That wasn’t just a religious statement—it was a line in the sand. A declaration of who he would follow—not just in life, but in death.

And today, I echo that same decision. I’ve chosen to believe the Word of God. I’ve chosen to prepare for eternity. I’ve chosen to ask hard questions while there’s still time to answer them.

Have you ever tried walking through a completely dark room? You reach out, hoping not to stumble, bump into something, or knock anything over. That’s often what life feels like when we try to live it without the light of God's Word.

Without the Word of God, we live in a spiritually dark world—trying to find our way by instinct, emotion, or culture. But when the Lord speaks His Word into our hearts, it’s like someone flips a switch. What was once unclear becomes visible. What once brought anxiety now brings peace. The Word doesn’t just inform us; it illuminates our path.

Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” This means God’s Word doesn’t always flood our future with spotlights—it gives just enough light to take the next step in faith.

Daniel saw this in Babylon. David clung to it in caves. Jesus wielded it in the wilderness. And we—here and now—must lean into that same light if we’re going to navigate this life faithfully.

The closer we get to the Lord, and the more we study and apply His Word in our everyday lives and situations, the more clearly we see. Not because our circumstances change, but because our spiritual vision sharpens. His Word doesn’t just help us “cope”—it empowers us to overcome.

Five Years Later: COVID‑19, Vaccine Mortality & the Heart of God

As global vaccine campaigns rolled out, particularly mRNA vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna, many nations saw dramatic drops in all-cause deaths: one study noted up to ~50% fewer excess deaths in well‑vaccinated countries . In the UK, mortality among hospitalized COVID‑19 patients fell from 40.3% in March 2020 to just 8.1% by June 2021 after widespread vaccination arxiv.org.

Yet this shift wasn’t uniform. Data from Florida suggests vaccinated adults had higher 12-month all-cause and cardiovascular death rates compared to the unvaccinated in the same region, medrxiv.org. Such patterns warrant careful scrutiny.

Scientific voices have sounded caution: some studies propose that mRNA vaccines could induce DNA damage through reverse-transcribed fragments or inflammation via LINE-1 mechanisms. 🇺🇸 Independence Day 2025: Freedom with a Purpose – A National Reflection

"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." – 2 Corinthians 3:17

July 4th is more than fireworks.
It’s more than barbecue, parades, and patriotic songs.
It’s a sacred reminder that the freedom we enjoy today was paid for in blood, preserved through sacrifice, and sustained by God’s hand of mercy.

As we mark Independence Day 2025, we must pause and ask:

What are we really celebrating?
What kind of nation are we becoming?
And what kind of people must we choose to be?

🕯️ Freedom Was Never Free

The ink that penned the Declaration of Independence in 1776 dried quickly—but the price of liberty has never stopped being paid.

From Lexington to Gettysburg…
From Iwo Jima to Iraq…
From the battlefields of war to the unseen battlegrounds of culture and conscience today…

Freedom has always demanded something from us.
And if we do not intentionally guard it, we will lose it—not from an outside enemy, but from moral erosion within.

📖 America’s Foundation Was Not Just Political—It Was Spiritual

Our Founders invoked the name of God.
They believed freedom was best preserved under the authority of righteousness.

“It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” – George Washington

But let us also repent.
Let us weep for the things we’ve lost—reverence, unity, justice, and spiritual vision.

More than ever, America needs a moral revival, a return to biblical values, and a renewed dependence on God.

Not just a national pride… but a national posture of humility.

Because true freedom is not the absence of restraint—it’s the presence of righteousness.
Without God, freedom becomes chaos.
With God, freedom becomes purpose.

✝️ Our Prayer This Independence Day

We pray for:

Our leaders, that they may govern with wisdom and fear of the Lord
Our youth, that they may rise with courage and conviction
Our churches, that they may be voices of truth and not echoes of culture
Our nation, that it may once again become a light to the world—a nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all
