Who or What Is Your Faith In?
Everyone has faith in something. Some place their faith in money, influence, government, education, or even their own abilities. But what many call “faith” is not Bible faith.
Biblical faith is not simply positive thinking or wishful hope. It is a confident trust placed in a Person—the Lord Jesus Christ—and in the finished work He accomplished for us on the Cross.
When Jesus went to Calvary, He did more than open the door of salvation to whosoever will. The invitation still stands today: “And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17)
Through His sacrificial, atoning death, Christ not only provided redemption from sin, but also the foundation for our victory over the struggles, bondages, and burdens of life.
The Apostle Paul reminds us:
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus… For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:1–2)
If you have trusted Christ for salvation—as the Scriptures declare in Romans 10:9–10—then you have already placed your faith in the One who conquered sin, death, and the grave.
So why stop there?
Trust Him for your healing.
Trust Him for your peace.
Trust Him for your strength.
Trust Him for victory over the things that trouble your body, mind, and spirit.
Calvary was not limited in its power.
In a very real sense, Calvary was “one-stop shopping.” Everything we truly need in life and eternity flows from the Cross of Jesus Christ.
The question today is simple: Where is your faith—or better yet, who is your faith in?
