✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK
From Alyssa, 19 — Dayton, Ohio

ㅤ
“Hi Pastor James. I’ve gone back and forth about asking this, but I really need help…
I struggle with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed all the time. Between school, money worries, social media, and trying to figure out my future, my mind never shuts off. I see everyone online living their ‘best life,’ and I feel like I’m falling behind.
I pray, but I still feel anxious and afraid. If God is in control, why does everything feel so unstable? How do I trust Him when I don’t feel secure about tomorrow?”
ㅤ
Hi Alyssa — thank you for your honesty. Many young people are quietly carrying this same weight.
ㅤ
Please hear this clearly: anxiety is not a failure of faith. It often comes from living in a pressure-filled, uncertain world.
ㅤ
Remember this truth:
God didn’t promise certainty — He promised His presence.
ㅤ
The world says, “Figure it all out now.”
God says, “Trust Me one step at a time.”
ㅤ
✨ Anxiety doesn’t mean God is absent — it means you need rest in Him.
✨ Social media shows highlights, not reality.
✨ You’re not behind — you’re becoming.
ㅤ
When worry crowds your thoughts, pray this:
ㅤ
“Lord, quiet my mind.
Help me trust You with what I can’t control.”
ㅤ
Your future is not fragile — it’s held by God. Faith grows when you learn to lean, not when you have all the answers.
I want to send you a copy of the ministry’s latest book, 📘 You Say This, But What Does the Bible Say About It?
Please ask your parents if this is okay, since I will need your address.
ㅤ
Stay anchored. Stay honest. Stay close to God. You are not weak — you are learning to trust.
