Brilliant Minds, Eternal Blindness
In the 67 years I have lived, I have met some extraordinarily brilliant people—men and women whose intellect bordered on genius. Their ability to analyze, articulate, and solve the most complex problems left me in awe. Yet, over time, I noticed a troubling common thread: arrogance—sometimes so pronounced it resembled a “god” complex.
What puzzled me most was this paradox: how someone could be so intelligent in the ways of the world, yet so unintelligent in the things that truly matter—Jesus Christ. Some even dismissed Christianity as “the feeble man’s crutch,” as though humility were weakness and faith a flaw.
I am reminded of the Apostle Paul’s words:
“When I am weak, then am I strong.”
Sooner or later, every one of us will step into eternity. When that moment comes, intellect, accolades, and self-reliance will not matter. Only one question will remain: Who did you trust? Yourself? Another person? Or Jesus Christ?
Choose wisely.
Eternity is a very long time to be wrong.
