A Door Is Open in Asia — Will You Walk Through It With Us?

Something extraordinary is happening.

Right now, in parts of Asia and the Philippines, doors are opening for the Gospel in ways we have rarely seen before. Communities that once seemed unreachable are now asking questions about faith. Pastors are requesting teaching materials. Families are gathering to hear the Word of God. In places where the name of Jesus was once whispered, it is now being spoken with courage.

But open doors mean nothing if no one walks through them.

Through Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, we have the opportunity to reach people who have waited years—sometimes generations—to hear the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. Souls are searching. Churches are growing. Lives are being transformed.

This is not a distant mission field. It is a living harvest.

As someone who has served around the world and seen these needs firsthand, I can tell you this: the opportunity before us is real, and it is urgent. With your prayers and support, we can provide Bibles, help local ministries, encourage pastors, and continue spreading the Gospel across Asia and the Philippines.

But we cannot do it alone.

Today, you have the opportunity to stand with us—to become part of something larger than yourself. When you give, you are not simply making a donation. You are helping bring light where darkness has lingered for far too long.

If the Lord places it on your heart, please consider partnering with us today.

When the Headlines Fade, Our Prayers Should Not

On February 28, 2026, at 1:15 a.m. ET, a joint U.S. and Israeli military operation known as Operation Epic Fury began, targeting Iranian security, command, and military infrastructure.

For days, the eyes of the world were fixed on the unfolding events. News feeds were constant. Commentary was everywhere. Concern, debate, and speculation filled the air.

But now, only a week later, much of that attention has faded.

What has not faded is the danger faced by the brave men and women serving in uniform every hour.

Tragically, the United States has already suffered six casualties in this conflict. Our hearts grieve for their families, and we are reminded how quickly freedom can demand a price. Yet many understand that the number could have been far higher.

Many people disagree with this operation—and in a free nation, that is your right. But it is important to remember that you have that right because courageous men and women are willing to stand in harm’s way to defend it.

Speaking as a retired U.S. Navy veteran, I can tell you this: when we raised our right hand and took the oath, we understood that the day could come when we might be asked to give the ultimate sacrifice—our lives—for our country.

These service members are not headlines. They are sons, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, and friends.

So even if the news cycle has moved on, let us not move on in our prayers.

Pray for the men and women serving in harm’s way.
Pray for their families waiting at home.
Pray for the nations of the United States and Israel.
And pray that wisdom and peace will ultimately prevail.

When You’ve Changed… But They Still See the Old You

One of the most difficult parts of personal growth is discovering that while you have changed, the people around you still see the person you used to be.

You’ve grown.
You’ve learned.
You’ve made different choices.
You’ve turned away from old habits and old ways.

Yet somehow, when you return to familiar places or interact with family and long-time friends, it can feel as though time has stood still in their minds. They still speak to you as if you are the same person you were years ago.

Why does this happen?

Because people often remember patterns more than transformation.

Those who knew you during your earlier seasons built their understanding of you from repeated experiences. In their minds, that version of you became the “definition” of who you are. When you change, their perception does not always update immediately.

Sometimes it takes time.

Sometimes it takes consistency.

And sometimes it takes distance.

But here is the truth that matters most: your growth is not determined by someone else's memory of who you were.

Real change happens on the inside first—through conviction, reflection, discipline, and often through faith. When a person begins to seek God, reflect on their life, and commit to doing better, transformation begins to take root.

Scripture reminds us that transformation is part of the spiritual journey.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

The challenge is that people remember the “old things,” while God sees the “new creation.”

So what can you do when others only remember the old you?

1. Stay consistent in your new path.
True change is proven over time. When people repeatedly see your patience, humility, discipline, and faith, their perception will slowly begin to shift.

2. Don’t argue with old labels.
Trying to convince people you’ve changed rarely works. Instead, let your actions quietly rewrite the story.

3. Be patient with their memory.
You may have spent years building the old reputation. Give people time to see the new one.

4. Keep growing anyway.
Your purpose in life is not to satisfy old expectations—it is to walk forward in truth, wisdom, and obedience.

Sometimes the hardest audience for your transformation will be the people who knew you first.

But remember: the direction you are walking now matters more than the person you used to be.

Growth is not always immediately recognized—but it is always powerful.

If you stay faithful to the path of improvement, integrity, and faith, the new you will eventually become impossible to ignore.

And even if some people never update their view of you, your life can still move forward with purpose, peace, and strength.

The Time to Work Is Now

📖 “I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” — John 9:4

Jesus spoke these words with urgency. He understood that time on earth is limited and that the work of God cannot be delayed. What we do for the Lord must be done while the opportunity exists, because a day will come when those opportunities are gone.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, the priority is clear: SOULS.

The spiritual climate of this world is not always friendly to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In many places, hearts have been hardened, doors have been closed, and the message of Christ has been resisted. Yet even in the darkest places, God is moving.

Through prayer, faith, and the support of believers like you, we are making inroads into countries and communities that were once closed to the Gospel. People who have sat in spiritual darkness for years are hearing the message of hope, grace, and redemption.

And the truth remains the same today as it was when Jesus walked the earth:

Jesus still sets captives free.

Souls are waiting. Hearts are searching. Lives are ready to be changed by the power of the Gospel.

But this work cannot be done alone.

Your prayers, your faith, and your financial support help us reach those who have waited so long to hear the Good News. Together we can bring the light of Christ into places where darkness has ruled for far too long.

The time to work is now.

When Our Ways Collide With God’s Ways

📖 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. — Isaiah 55:8

The longer many of us walk with the Lord, the more we discover a humbling truth: our ways are often not His ways.

We tend to think we know what is best—what direction life should take, what doors should open, and how quickly God should answer our prayers. Yet time and experience teach us that God’s wisdom reaches far beyond our limited understanding. What we thought was the right path may not have been His plan at all.

Surprisingly, our greatest obstacle is often not the devil or the circumstances around us. More often than not, our greatest struggle is with ourselves—the person we see every day in the mirror. Pride, fear, stubbornness, and our desire to remain in control make it difficult to fully yield to God.

Surrender does not usually come easily or quickly. Many believers wrestle with God just as Jacob did in the Old Testament. Yet eventually—sometimes through trials, sometimes through quiet conviction—we reach that moment when we let go and let God.

The question for each of us today is this:

Where are you in this journey called life?

Are you pliable clay in the Master’s hands, willing to be shaped and molded according to His will? Or are you still wrestling with God, trying to hold onto control of your own plans?

God’s ways are higher, wiser, and far more eternal than our own. When we finally surrender our will to His, we often discover that the life He leads us into is far greater than the one we were trying to build ourselves.

Question of the Week
📌 March 6, 2026

From: Mateo, 16 — San Diego, California

Question:
Hi Pastor James. I’m 16 years old, and I have a question.

Almost everyone at school is constantly on their phones or social media. If you’re not posting, liking, or replying right away, people think something is wrong. Sometimes it feels like my whole generation is living online instead of in real life.

The problem is that when I’m on social media too much, I start comparing myself to everyone else—how they look, what they have, where they go- and it makes me feel like I’m not good enough. But if I step away from it, I feel like I’m missing out or losing friends.

How do I stay connected with people without letting social media control my mind or my identity?

Response:
Hi Mateo. Thank you for saying what many teens and young people are experiencing but rarely putting into words.

Technology is a powerful tool, but it was never meant to define who you are. Social media often shows the highlight reel of people’s lives—carefully chosen moments that rarely reflect their struggles or reality. When we compare our everyday life to someone else’s edited moments, it can distort how we see ourselves.

Your identity should never be determined by followers, comments, or trends. Your identity is found in who God says you are. You are created with purpose, value, and worth that cannot be measured by a screen.

The Bible reminds us:
📖 “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” — Galatians 1:10

It’s healthy to step back from the noise sometimes. Spend time with real people, real conversations, and quiet moments with God. Use technology as a tool—but never let it become your master.

When your identity is rooted in Christ, the opinions of the internet lose their power.
