When the World Feels Unsteady, There Is Still Real Peace

The events unfolding across the world are enough to cause even the bravest hearts to beat with uncertainty. Many are searching for answers, yet those answers seem to elude even the brightest minds. For some, this season feels overwhelming—smothering, isolating, and heavy. You may feel forgotten, unimportant, or backed into a corner with no clear way forward.

But today, I want to speak real hope to you.

That hope is Jesus Christ.

This is not a promise of instant relief from every burden. It is not a claim that all problems vanish overnight, or that everything lost will immediately be restored. Life remains real, and challenges do not simply disappear. But this truth stands firm:

Real peace does not come from without—it comes from within.
And that is the peace Jesus Christ gives.

As my grandmama used to say, “Where there is peace, there is God.”

If your heart is weary, if your spirit longs for peace, I invite you to pray this prayer with me—out loud if you can.

A Prayer of Surrender and New Life

Lord Jesus,
I come to You just as I am—tired, searching, and in need of Your peace.
I confess that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself.
I believe that You died for my sins and rose again so that I could have new life.

Today, I surrender my heart and my life to You.
Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new.
I turn away from my old ways and place my trust fully in You.

Come into my heart, Lord Jesus.
Be my Savior, my Lord, and my peace.
Teach me to walk with You, trust You, and follow You all the days of my life.

I receive Your grace, Your mercy, and Your peace—
not the peace the world gives, but the peace that only You can give.

Thank You for loving me.
Thank You for saving me.
From this day forward, I belong to You.
Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, know this: you are not alone. Peace has taken root, and God is near.

What’s on Many Americans’ Minds — and Where Hope Begins

Across the United States, the rising cost of living remains a daily concern. Groceries cost more. Housing is harder to afford. Fuel, insurance, utilities, and healthcare continue to strain household budgets. These are not abstract numbers—they are real pressures felt in real homes.

Many people are looking to the government for answers. However, President Ronald Reagan said it best, 'Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.'

While explanations matter, what many people are really asking is simpler:

What can we do now—and where is hope found?

Practical Steps Many Are Taking

Regaining control where possible – budgeting carefully, prioritizing necessities, and avoiding unnecessary debt
Staying informed, not overwhelmed – focusing on verified information rather than constant anxiety-driven news cycles
Strengthening community ties – families, churches, and local networks helping one another shoulder the load
Adjusting expectations without surrendering hope – recognizing seasons change, and endurance matters

Where Real Relief Begins

While financial strategies are important, relief is not found in numbers alone. History shows that difficult seasons often refine priorities, deepen relationships, and awaken generosity and faith. When uncertainty rises, many discover the value of prayer, shared wisdom, and steady purpose.

Hope grows when people remember they are not facing these challenges alone—and that provision is not only material, but also spiritual, emotional, and communal.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, we believe encouragement, truth, prayer, and practical support matter—especially in times like these. If you’re looking for perspective, faith-based resources, or a reminder that God is still at work even in difficult seasons, we invite you to connect with us.

Don’t Quit Asking — Heaven Is Still Listening

We give up far too easily.

We pray once, maybe twice—and when the answer doesn’t arrive on our timetable, we quietly stop asking. We stop expecting. Sometimes, we even stop believing. But Matthew 7:7 was never an invitation to momentary faith; it was a call to persistent trust.

God never promised that the Christian life would be easy, quick, or free from delay. What He did promise is His presence—every step, every wait, every unanswered moment. Somewhere along the way, some of us asked God for something in faith, and when it didn’t happen as soon as we thought it should, we set that prayer aside and moved on.

Too often, we blame the enemy for what we ourselves abandoned.

If that sounds like you, let me encourage you today: go back. Return to the place where you laid that prayer down. Pick it up again. Re-engage with God—not in frustration, but in humility and trust. And if what you stopped asking for was truly His will, bring it back to Him. Begin with repentance if needed, then ask again—this time with renewed faith.

Ask. Seek. Knock.

And then watch what God does.

If the Church Got Serious, the World Would Notice

Statistics paint a sobering picture—not just of the world’s unbelief in the return of Jesus, but of the Church’s readiness for it.

Consider this:

  • 📉 Nearly 44% of those who profess a born-again relationship show little expectation or urgency about Christ’s return.

  • 🌍 We might expect spiritual apathy from the world—but this level of indifference inside the Church should alarm us.

Now imagine the alternative:

  • 🔥 If 85% of the Church got real—no pretending, no half-measures—

  • 🌱 Evangelism wouldn’t crawl; it would explode across cities, nations, and continents.

  • 💰 Pastors, missionaries, and ministries wouldn’t have to plead for support—the work would be funded because hearts were on fire.

  • 🙏 Prayer would be spontaneous: for revival, for pastors, for missionaries, for leaders, and for a broken world—not because we’re asked, but because we love Jesus.

A word about the mission field (the Philippines):

  • 💵 Average daily wages:

    • Unskilled labor: $3–$4/day

    • Skilled labor: $8–$10/day

  • ❌ “Cost of living is cheap” is a myth.

    • Medical and dental care are often unaffordable

    • School tuition strains families

    • College is out of reach for many

    • Food, rent, and transportation are daily struggles

  • Families survive—but often by robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Our calling is clear:

  • ✝️ We are not there to subsidize incomes

  • 📖 We are there to preach the whole counsel of God—mind, body, soul, and spirit

  • ⚠️ Inconsistent giving makes planning outreach difficult—and sometimes impossible

A reality few talk about:

  • 📊 Roughly 30% of people give 90% of church income

  • This pattern holds almost everywhere

So the honest question is:

  • Are you in the 30% (consistent givers)?

  • Or the 70% (sporadic or non-givers)?

A simple step:

  • 🕊️ In prayer, ask the Lord what He would have you do

  • ✅ Then do it

  • 🙌 Put God first—and He will take care of you
(I know this to be true after 50+ years of walking with Him.)

Can I count on you?

What Should a Christian Look Like?

A Christian’s life should be a reflection of Jesus Christ—both in word and in deed.

That does not mean we always get it right.
It does not mean we never fail God—because we do.

But it does mean that we are forever striving to walk as disciples of Christ, growing, repenting, learning, and becoming more like Him with each passing day.

A Christian should do their best to love others with the agape love of Christ—a love that is sacrificial, undeserved, and unconditional.

I once heard a self-professed Christian say that they hated Donald Trump. It so shocked me that I found myself genuinely flabbergasted. I reminded them that hatred—regardless of the target—is viewed as sin by God. But their mind was already made up. That moment served as a sobering reminder: we are all capable of letting the spirit of the age overtake the Spirit of Christ if we are not careful.

A Christian is called to be an example—not of perfection, but of truth and righteousness in Christ.

A Christian should be:

  • Honest, even when it costs something

  • Diligent, not lazy or indifferent

  • A soul winner, concerned with eternity, not just comfort

  • A lover of the Bible, as the true Word of God

  • A prayer warrior, not merely a casual pray-er

And a true born-again believer should be so removed from the ways of this world that they appear foreign to it—not arrogant, not self-righteous, but unmistakably different.

We are not called to blend in.
We are called to stand out—in love, humility, truth, and obedience.

Are You Doing All You Can? A Question Worth Asking

On this 14th day of 2026, I want to challenge you with a question—one that is both private and personal:

Are you doing all you can to support the work of God?

That support may look different for each of us.
For some, it is faithful prayer.
For others, physical labor and service.
For many, consistent financial giving that enables the work to go forward.

If you sense that you could do more, I invite you—gently but honestly—to engage yourself in helping to gather the end-time harvest of souls.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, our mission is simple and unwavering: gathering the harvest. The fields are ready. The opportunities are open. The need is urgent.

Will you help us?

When God Calls You, He Carries You

Anything God truly calls you to do can only be accomplished by His help and His grace. If you can do it entirely on your own—without prayer, dependence, or divine strength—then chances are it is not God-called or God-anointed.

That truth is not meant to discourage you. It is meant to set you free.

In the book of Philippians, we read:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

The key words are “through Christ.”
Not outside of Him.
Not apart from Him.
Not by yourself.

But by Him—and through Him.

The next time you feel discouraged…
Beaten…
Whipped…
Stepped on…
Or downtrodden…

Remember this: God never promised that the straight and narrow road would be free from complications, struggles, pain, sorrow, or loss. But He did promise this:

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

If God has called you, He will sustain you.
If He has sent you, He will strengthen you.
And if He allows the burden, He will also provide the grace to carry it.

You are not failing because it’s hard.
You are walking in obedience.
