We Need Each Other More Than Ever

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” — Hebrews 10:25

I sincerely hope that everyone reading this post has a church family—a place where you can worship, grow, pray, and fellowship with others of like faith.

We are living in times that try men’s souls. Discouragement is common. Weariness is real. Isolation is tempting. And yet, Scripture reminds us that we were never meant to walk this journey alone. God designed the Body of Christ so that we would strengthen one another, carry one another’s burdens, and stand together when the road becomes difficult.

Church is not a building—it is a gathering of believers who encourage each other to remain faithful when the world pulls in the opposite direction. Fellowship sharpens faith. Community guards the heart. And mutual encouragement keeps hope alive.

If you are struggling today, know this: you are not forgotten.
If you feel weary, remember this: you are not alone.
If you are standing strong, never underestimate how your presence strengthens someone else.

Closing Thoughts

Stay connected. Stay encouraged. Stay faithful.
We need one another now more than ever—and the Lord knows exactly why.

You are in our prayers.

Who You Walk With Shapes Who You Become

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” — 1 Corinthians 15:33

My pastor once said something that never left me:
“If you eat out of a horse trough long enough, eventually you will think of yourself as a horse.”

It may sound blunt—but it is profoundly true.

God never called us to live in isolation, but He did call us to live with discernment. The people we consistently surround ourselves with will shape our attitudes, our speech, our thinking, and eventually our character—whether we realize it or not.

If we regularly keep company with those who are cynical, bitter, spiteful, selfish, dishonest, gossip-driven, deceitful, or those who twist Scripture to fit their preferences, we should not be surprised when those same traits begin to surface in our own lives. If everyone around us is convinced that “everybody is out to get them,” that mindset has a way of seeping into our spirit.

The Apostle Paul’s warning is clear: corruption doesn’t always announce itself—it spreads quietly.

This is not about arrogance.
This is not about judging others.
This is about wisdom.

At some point, games must end. At some point, we must stop trying to march to the same drumbeat as everyone else just to fit in. The line has to be drawn—not with anger, but with conviction.

Joshua made that decision long ago, and his words still stand:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Closing Thoughts

You will become like what you tolerate.
You will reflect what you repeatedly consume.
And you will drift toward the values of those you walk with most closely.

Choose wisely. Guard your heart. Walk with those who sharpen your faith—not those who dull it.

Unchanging Truth in a World That Won’t Stand Still

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

We are living in an age where unpredictability, uncertainty, and unsettlement have become the new norm in American society. What many once believed was solid and dependable has been replaced by shifting narratives and moving standards. What you thought you knew has been overtaken by what you didn’t even realize you didn’t know.

People change.
Values change.
Convictions erode.

What was once rejected is now celebrated. What was once honored is now questioned—or outright mocked. And those who refuse to change with the tide are often labeled, sorted, segregated, and eventually dismissed as irrelevant.

This is the pressure of our time: change—or be changed.

But Hebrews 13:8 confronts that pressure with a timeless truth. While culture shifts, Christ does not. While opinions evolve, His Word stands. While society redefines itself again and again, Jesus remains the same—unchaken, unmoved, uncompromised.

Sooner or later, everyone must choose where they stand. Neutral ground does not last forever. Silence eventually speaks. And indecision, given enough time, becomes a decision of its own.

Closing Thoughts

You can anchor your life to what changes daily—or to the One who never changes.
You can follow the crowd—or follow Christ.
You can be shaped by the world—or stand firm in the truth.

The question is not if you will choose.
The question is when—and on which side.

A Simple Way to Support the Gospel—Right Where You Are

Did you know that X has a little-known feature called Tips—and that it can directly support missionary work around the world?

The Tips feature was created to make giving simple, immediate, and personal. It allows followers to support the voices and missions they believe in with just a few taps. No long forms. No complicated steps. Just generosity in motion.

For us at Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, Tips provide a practical way for friends and partners to help us reach further into the Philippines with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your support helps open doors for ministry—bringing hope, prayer, encouragement, and the Word of God to families and communities that are hungry for truth.

Here’s how you can take advantage of it:

Your gift, no matter the size, helps us do more for the Lord’s work. Doors are opening—but before we step through them, we need your prayers, your faith, and your consistent support.

Why not begin this weekend by sowing a seed into eternal ground? Together, we can go further—because the Gospel is worth it.

With gratitude and faith,
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International

Two Deaths Per Second. One Eternal Question.

Around 150,000–160,000 people die every single day worldwide. That is nearly 100 people every minute, two souls every second, stepping into eternity.

What we do not know is how many of them ever heard the Gospel…
How many were told that Jesus Christ loves them, died for them, and offers eternal life?

Scripture asks a sobering question:

“How shall they hear without a preacher?”
Not just a pastor behind a pulpit—but a willing voice, a faithful witness, a messenger of Christ.

The world often says, “What we need now is love.”
But love without Christ cannot save.
What the world desperately needs is the love of Jesus Christ—the only love that forgives sin, restores the broken, and redeems the lost.

I say this without fear of contradiction: there are people right now who would say “YES” to Jesus Christ—if someone would simply tell them.

Help us tell them.
Help us reach even a handful of those 150–160 thousand souls today with the life-changing Gospel.

Together, we can be that voice.

✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK
From Michael, 17 — Toledo, Ohio
January 10, 2026

“Hello Pastor James,

I believe in supporting missionary ministries. Unfortunately, my church — and even my parents — do not. They say these ministries are only in it for the money. I don’t believe that.

I truly want to support your ministry, but I also want to be wise. How can I be sure that you are doing what you say you’re doing? I’m not asking presumptuously or out of disrespect — I genuinely want to know.

Thank you for all that you are doing for the Lord.”

Hi Michael — thank you for asking this question. It is thoughtful, mature, and biblical. Scripture tells us to “prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Your desire for accountability is not skepticism — it is stewardship.

Here is the truth, plainly stated: no ministry should ever be offended by honest questions. The work of the Gospel thrives in the light, not in secrecy.

Here are wise ways to discern a missionary ministry’s integrity:

✨ Transparency — Are finances, mission goals, and outcomes clearly shared?
✨ Fruit — Are lives being helped, changed, healed, and reached with the Gospel?
✨ Sacrifice — Do the leaders live humbly, or lavishly at the expense of others?
✨ Accountability — Is the ministry answerable to others, not just itself?
✨ Consistency — Does the message match the mission, year after year?

True missionary work is not about profit — it’s about obedience. Those who labor in the harvest fields often do so at great personal cost, not personal gain.

You are not wrong to question. You are right to care. And you are honoring God by wanting your giving to matter.

If you ever want to understand what a ministry does, ask. Read. Pray. Observe. A ministry that is truly serving Christ will welcome scrutiny, because its confidence rests in God, not appearances.

Michael, thank you for your heart — not just to give, but to give wisely. May God guide you, and may He bless every seed you sow in faith.

I would like to send you a copy of the ministry's newest book, 📘 You Say This, But What Does the Bible Say About It?

Please check with your parents to see if that's alright, as I will need your address.

WEEKEND REFLECTION — WHEN FAITH PUTS ON WORK BOOTS

Weekends are when most folks finally stop long enough to catch their breath.
The tools are set down. The uniform comes off. The alarm clock goes quiet.

But for millions around the world, the struggle doesn’t take the weekend off.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, we don’t just talk about faith — we roll up our sleeves and live it. We go where the need is real, the roads are rough, and hope is hanging by a thread. From feeding hungry families and helping children stay in school, to medical outreach, gospel preaching, and disaster response — this ministry is built on obedience, not comfort.

This is blue-collar faith.
Faith that shows up tired but willing.
Faith that gives even when it’s a sacrifice.
Faith that understands that doing nothing is not an option.

If God has ever helped you make it through when the odds were stacked against you…
If you believe the Gospel is more than words on a page…
If you know deep down that now is the time to act

Then this weekend, we invite you to stand with us.

Your giving helps us:
• Reach forgotten villages
• Feed hungry families
• Provide medical and dental care
• Preach Christ where He’s rarely heard
• Restore dignity, hope, and life

Don’t wait. Don’t scroll past the call. Be part of what God is doing — right now.
