“Strength for the Waiting”

One of the hardest disciplines in life is waiting—waiting for answers, direction, healing, provision, or clarity. Our instinct is to rush ahead, force outcomes, or grow weary when God doesn’t move on our timeline.

But Scripture reminds us that waiting is not wasted time.

Waiting is where strength is renewed. Waiting is where trust deepens. Waiting is where God does His quiet, refining work within us.

God does not delay to frustrate us—He delays to prepare us.

You are not being ignored.
You are being strengthened.
You are being shaped for what’s next.

📖 Isaiah 40:31 says,
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Waiting does not weaken faith—it builds it.
Waiting does not drain strength—it restores it.
Waiting does not slow God—it aligns us with Him.

If today feels long, trust this truth: God is working even when you cannot see it. What He is preparing you for will require the strength He is now renewing.

Don’t rush the process.
Don’t abandon hope.
Don’t mistake silence for absence.

God is faithful—especially in the waiting.

🙏 Morning Prayer

Lord, help me to wait on You with faith and patience. Renew my strength where I feel weak, and steady my heart where I feel uncertain. Teach me to trust Your timing and walk confidently in obedience today. I place my hope in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When God Gives the Command—but Not the Details

“Make thee an ark of gopher wood…” — Genesis 6:14

What do you do when God says, “I want you to do thus and so…” but does not explain how it will be done?

You obey.

Genesis 6:14 is striking not for its details—but for its restraint. God gave Noah an instruction, not a full blueprint of the future. No weather forecast. No timeline for rain. No explanation to convince skeptics. Just a word—and a choice.

Faith is often tested in the absence of clarity. God reveals the what before the how so that trust, not control, becomes the foundation. If He explained everything in advance, obedience would be conditional, not surrendered.

When God calls you to build, step out, speak up, give, go, or wait—without full understanding—it is not because He is withholding wisdom. It is because He is cultivating dependence.

The ark was built long before the storm arrived. And obedience today often prepares us for what we cannot yet see.

If God has spoken to your heart, begin where you are, with what you have, trusting that the same God who gives the command is already ahead of you in the outcome.

Waiting for the Morning Light

“I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning.” — Psalm 130:5–6

Why should we begin each day with a devotional time with the Lord?

Because morning devotion sets the tone for everything that follows. Before the noise of the world rushes in, before decisions are made and burdens are carried, we choose to align our hearts with God’s truth. Like the watchman waiting for the first light of dawn, our souls learn to wait—not in anxiety, but in hope.

Morning devotion reminds us that God is our source, not our schedule. It anchors our thoughts in His Word, steadies our emotions, sharpens our discernment, and renews our strength. When we wait on the Lord early, we are declaring that His voice matters more than headlines, His promises outweigh our fears, and His presence is our greatest priority.

A day begun with God is a day lived with greater peace, purpose, and perspective.

If you’ve been weary, uncertain, or overwhelmed, try waiting for the Lord in the morning. You may discover that the light you’ve been longing for was waiting for you all along.

Has the Gospel of Jesus Christ Been Commercialized?

It’s a question many are quietly asking—and some are finally asking out loud: Has the Gospel of Jesus Christ been commercialized?
And if so, what can we do about it?

The Gospel was never meant to be a product, a brand, or a revenue stream. It is the good news—freely given, freely received, and freely shared. Jesus never charged admission to hear Him teach, never sold miracles, and never measured success by numbers, platforms, or profit. Yet today, it is easy to confuse influence with anointing, marketing with ministry, and prosperity with godliness.

Commercialization happens when the message shifts from Christ crucified to self-promotion, from repentance to entertainment, and from discipleship to consumption. When the Gospel is packaged to please rather than to transform, its power is diminished.

So what can we do?

We return to Scripture over spectacle, truth over trends, and servanthood over status. We preach the whole counsel of God, even when it’s uncomfortable. We support ministries that demonstrate integrity, humility, and accountability. And we live the Gospel daily—loving people, serving sacrificially, and pointing hearts back to Christ, not ourselves.

The answer isn’t withdrawal—it’s reformation of the heart. The Gospel doesn’t need reinventing. It needs reverence, obedience, and courage.

Hump Day Reminder: Stay Steady, Stay Faithful

It’s Wednesday—Hump Day. You’ve made it halfway through the week, and that alone is something to thank God for. For some, the climb has been steep, the load heavy, and the strength running low. Yet here you are—still standing, still pressing forward.

Midweek is a perfect time to pause and remember this truth: God’s grace did not expire on Monday, and His strength will not run out by Friday. What feels like exhaustion to us is often an invitation to lean more fully on Him. Scripture reminds us that “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” Renewal happens when we stop striving and start trusting.

If today feels ordinary or overwhelming, don’t dismiss it. God often does His deepest work in the middle—between the promise and the breakthrough, between the prayer and the answer. Keep walking. Keep believing. Keep holding fast.

We’re praying for you and standing with you as we continue the work of the Gospel around the world.

The Most Easily Deceived People May Surprise You

Do you know which class of people is the easiest to dupe—rich, poor, educated, or uneducated?
The answer may surprise you.

The easiest people to deceive are not defined by wealth or schooling, but by their unwillingness to test what they hear. Truth is rarely hidden from those who genuinely seek it, but deception thrives where discernment is ignored.

Scripture gives us a clear mandate in 1 Thessalonians 5:21:
“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

God never asked His people to blindly accept every voice, trend, headline, or spiritual claim. We are called to examine, measure, and discern. Manipulation depends on passivity; truth welcomes scrutiny.

So the question is not what you are hearing—but what you are willing to test.
Do you want truth, fiction, or deception?

The choice has always been yours.
