📣 A Message from the Mission Field — Reaching Souls for Jesus

From the heart of the Philippines, I write to you not merely as a senior pastor, not only as a retired U.S. Navy veteran, and not just as a missionary—but as a servant of Jesus Christ compelled by the Great Commission.

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, reaching souls for Jesus is not a slogan—it is our calling.

That is why we are in the Philippines.

We are here to proclaim the hope that has already transformed the lives of multiplied multiplicities of multitudinous millions—hope found only in Jesus Christ. In villages, cities, and remote places, hearts are open, hunger is real, and the Gospel is needed now.

But we cannot do this alone.

We ask you to stand with us:

  • Prayerfully — that hearts would be softened and lives changed

  • Faithfully — trusting God to multiply every seed sown

  • Practically — through your support, so the message can continue going forth

“They” need to hear the message of Jesus Christ too.
And together, we can help make sure they do.

🌿 Thought for Today — December 18, 2025

Sometimes God doesn’t change the situation right away—
not because He is absent,
but because He is working deeper than what you can see.

What feels like a delay may actually be divine preparation.
What feels like silence may be God strengthening your faith.
And what feels like waiting may be God teaching you to trust Him before the answer arrives.

Today, don’t rush ahead of God.
Walk with Him.
Pray first.
Listen closely.
And remember—God is never late, never distracted, and never unsure of what He’s doing.

Trust Him with today.
He already holds tomorrow.

🎄 Christmas for Jesus — Help Us Bring Hope This Christmas 🎄

This Christmas season, Pilgrim Outreach Ministries is once again committed to making sure that Jesus remains at the center of Christmas—not just in words, but in action.

Through our Christmas for Jesus Campaign, we are reaching families in the Philippines who would otherwise face Christmas with little food, few resources, and no celebration at all. For many, this outreach is not just a gift—it is a reminder that God sees them, loves them, and has not forgotten them.

Because of faithful partners like you, we are able to:

  • Provide food and essential supplies to struggling families

  • Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with open hearts

  • Bring joy, dignity, and hope where despair once lived

  • Let families know that Christmas is about Christ, not circumstance

But we cannot do this alone.

You can help us this year by:

  • Praying for the families and communities we serve

  • Giving—every gift, large or small, makes a real difference

  • Sharing this message so others can join the mission

This Christmas, you can help turn hunger into hope, sorrow into joy, and silence into praise—all in the name of Jesus.

📌 JUST A REMINDER — JESUS IS COMING SOON

This is your gentle, urgent reminder in the middle of a busy world:

Jesus is coming soon.

Not as a rumor.
Not as a theory.
Not as a distant idea.

But as a promise.

Scripture reminds us to watch, listen, and wait with expectation. While the world grows louder and more distracted, believers are called to stay spiritually alert—anchored in truth, rooted in faith, and ready in heart.

Now more than ever:
• Keep listening for His voice
• Keep watching the signs of the times
• Keep waiting with hope and confidence

It won’t be long.

Let this reminder strengthen your faith, steady your walk, and refocus your heart on what truly matters. Redemption is closer than it appears.

📌 Tuesday, December 16, 2025 — Daily Devotional
“Grace for Today, Not Tomorrow”

Some days your mind races ahead—worrying about decisions you haven’t made, conversations you haven’t had, and outcomes you can’t control. You replay yesterday and rehearse tomorrow, until today feels heavy before it even begins. Yet God gently reminds us of this truth:

You are not called to carry tomorrow’s weight today.
God gives grace in portions—right on time, never too early, never too late.

📖 2 Corinthians 12:9 says,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”

Notice what God does not say.
He doesn’t say, “Fix your weakness first.”
He doesn’t say, “Come back when you’re stronger.”
He says His grace is sufficient—right now, exactly as you are.

That means today’s grace is enough for today’s challenges.
Today’s strength is enough for today’s responsibilities.
Today’s mercy is enough for today’s mistakes.

You may not feel strong—but God is.
You may feel unsure—but God is faithful.
You may feel stretched—but God’s grace stretches further.

So instead of borrowing worry from tomorrow, rest in the grace God has already supplied for this moment. What lies ahead will be met with grace when it arrives. For now, walk in the strength you’ve been given today.

Take heart.
Take a breath.
And trust that God is meeting you right where you are.

🙏 Morning Prayer

Lord, thank You for the grace You give me for today. Help me release the worries I cannot control and trust You with what lies ahead. When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength is enough. Guide my thoughts, order my steps, and anchor my heart in Your truth. I place this day in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK
From Alyssa, 19 — Tampa, Florida

“Hi Pastor James. I’ve been wanting to ask this for a while, but I didn’t know how…

I feel anxious about my future—college, work, relationships, faith. Everyone keeps telling me to ‘have it figured out,’ but inside I feel lost and afraid of making the wrong choices.

Is it a lack of faith to feel this unsure? How do I hear God clearly when my mind feels so overwhelmed?”

Hi Alyssa — thank you for trusting me with such an honest question.

What you’re feeling is more common than you realize, especially among young adults today. Feeling uncertain doesn’t mean your faith is weak—it means you’re standing at an important crossroads.

Here’s what I want you to know:
Being unsure doesn’t mean God is absent — it often means He’s inviting you closer.

Pressure says, “Decide everything now.”
God says, “Walk with Me one step at a time.”

✨ God does not rush His plans — He reveals them in seasons.
✨ Anxiety about the future does not disqualify you — it signals a heart that cares deeply.
✨ You don’t need the full map — only the next obedient step.

Alyssa, when fear and confusion start to crowd your thoughts, pray this simple prayer:

“Lord, quiet my mind and steady my heart.
Help me trust You with what I cannot yet see.”

And remember this: you are not behind, broken, or failing. You are becoming. God’s will is not a race — it’s a relationship.

If you’d like, I’d love to share a devotional and a copy of:
📘 Your First Steps in Walking with God
(With parental approval if needed.)

Stay anchored. Stay prayerful. Your future is safer in God’s hands than in your own plans.
