✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK
From Alyssa, 19 — Tampa, Florida

“Hi Pastor James. I’ve been wanting to ask this for a while, but I didn’t know how…

I feel anxious about my future—college, work, relationships, faith. Everyone keeps telling me to ‘have it figured out,’ but inside I feel lost and afraid of making the wrong choices.

Is it a lack of faith to feel this unsure? How do I hear God clearly when my mind feels so overwhelmed?”

Hi Alyssa — thank you for trusting me with such an honest question.

What you’re feeling is more common than you realize, especially among young adults today. Feeling uncertain doesn’t mean your faith is weak—it means you’re standing at an important crossroads.

Here’s what I want you to know:
Being unsure doesn’t mean God is absent — it often means He’s inviting you closer.

Pressure says, “Decide everything now.”
God says, “Walk with Me one step at a time.”

✨ God does not rush His plans — He reveals them in seasons.
✨ Anxiety about the future does not disqualify you — it signals a heart that cares deeply.
✨ You don’t need the full map — only the next obedient step.

Alyssa, when fear and confusion start to crowd your thoughts, pray this simple prayer:

“Lord, quiet my mind and steady my heart.
Help me trust You with what I cannot yet see.”

And remember this: you are not behind, broken, or failing. You are becoming. God’s will is not a race — it’s a relationship.

Stay anchored. Stay prayerful. Your future is safer in God’s hands than in your own plans.
