When Heaven Seems Silent: Trusting God in the Waiting

I hear it asked almost every day:
“Pastor, why didn’t God hear my prayer?”

My honest answer is simple: I don’t know.
But this I do know—when we pray, we are saying, “God, I trust You to work everything out in Your way, and in Your time.”

Prayer isn’t a transaction. God doesn’t work for us—we work for Him. And when that truth settles into the heart, it changes the way we pray… and the way we wait.

Waiting is not wasted time.
Silence is not absence.
Delay is not denial.

Sometimes God answers immediately. Other times, He answers by reshaping us—our trust, our patience, our surrender. The deeper lesson of prayer isn’t getting what we ask for; it’s learning to rest in Who we’ve asked.

If you’re waiting right now, don’t lose heart. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing that God is at work—even when you cannot see it.
