✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK
From Jordan, 16 — Mesa, Arizona

“Hi, Pastor James. I’m kind of nervous asking this, but here it goes…

I feel pressured to fit in at school and online. Everyone seems so confident about who they are and what they believe. I act like I’m okay, but inside I’m confused about my identity, my faith, and where I belong.

If I really trust God, why do I still feel insecure and afraid of rejection? How do I stay true to my faith when I just want to be accepted?”

Hi Jordan — thank you for your courage in asking a question many teens and young adults carry silently.

What you’re feeling doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re growing. Insecurity often appears just before clarity.

Here’s what I want you to hear clearly:
Wanting to belong is human — learning who you belong to is spiritual.

The world says, “Change yourself to be accepted.”
God says, “Come as you are, and I’ll shape you with purpose.”

✨ Your worth is not measured by likes or popularity.
✨ Feeling unsure does not cancel your faith — it deepens it.
✨ You don’t need to know who you’ll be forever — just who you trust today.

When insecurity whispers lies, pray this:

“Lord, remind me who I am in You.
Help me value Your voice above every other.”

You were never created to blend in — you were created to belong to God. Confidence comes from standing firm in Him.

📘 You Say This, But What Does the Bible Say About It?

Stay grounded. Stay honest. Stay close to God. You are not lost — you are being led.

Standing at the Edge of Time: The Final Days of 2025

This week marks the final three days of 2025.

That simple statement carries more weight than we often allow ourselves to feel. Three days. A handful of hours. A few remaining moments that will quietly close the door on another year of our lives—forever.

It raises a sobering but necessary question:
Where will you be, or what will you be doing, when the clock rolls into 2026?

Many will be celebrating. Some will be sleeping. Others will be working. But beyond the moment itself lies an even more important question—one that deserves honest reflection:

What will you do with the days that follow, from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026?

Time has a way of moving forward without asking our permission. It does not slow down for unfinished conversations, delayed obedience, or postponed decisions. It simply marches on. And with each passing year, one truth becomes increasingly clear: none of us are getting any younger.

The Gift—and Responsibility—of Time

The closing days of a year invite us to pause, to take inventory, and to consider how we have stewarded the time entrusted to us. Time is one of God’s most precious gifts, yet it is also one of the most easily wasted. Once a moment passes, it can never be reclaimed.

The question is not whether time will pass—it will.
The question is whether we will pass through it intentionally.

What did this year teach you?
What did it reveal about your priorities?
Where did you grow—and where did you drift?

These are not questions meant to condemn, but to clarify.

Finishing Strong, Beginning Well

As these final days of 2025 unfold, my prayer for you is simple and sincere: that you have an awesome, productive, and purposeful work week as the year draws to a close. Finish what can be finished. Release what must be released. Carry forward the lessons worth keeping.

And as 2026 dawns, may you step into it with renewed vision, deeper faith, and a heart prepared for what lies ahead. A new year is more than a change on the calendar—it is an opportunity to realign our lives with what truly matters.

Let 2026 be a year marked by:

  • Clear priorities

  • Intentional living

  • Faith-driven decisions

  • Purposeful service

  • A renewed commitment to what God has called you to do

Walking Forward Together

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, we remain committed to encouraging believers to live with purpose, faith, and eternal perspective. As we move into a new year, we invite you to continue walking with us—praying, believing, serving, and reaching beyond ourselves for the sake of others.

The Harvest Awaits: A Prayer and a Call for 2026

2026 will be here in a matter of hours.

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, there is no more fitting prayer for the days ahead than the words of Jesus Himself in Matthew 9:37–38:

“Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.”

This must be our prayer for 2026.

The harvest is ready. Souls are searching. Hearts are open. Yet the need remains urgent—the laborers are still few. And this harvest is not confined to our neighborhoods or even our nation. It is local, national, and worldwide.

Just a few days ago, a young lady sent her first-ever donation to this ministry. She humbly called it her “seed faith”, sharing that more would follow. Though she and her family faithfully attend a local church, God has stirred her heart with something bigger—a worldwide vision. That is how the harvest begins: one obedient heart at a time.

Her story is a reminder to all of us.

Are we doing ALL we can to help gather the harvest?

This is the hour for the Church—not to retreat, not to delay, not to become distracted—but to refocus. To prepare our hearts, our minds, and yes, our finances, for the work that lies ahead. Because souls are at stake, and eternity is not a distant concept—it is a present reality.

The fields are white. The door is open. The question is not whether the harvest is ready.
The question is whether we are.

As we step into 2026, let us commit anew to praying, giving, going, and believing God for a global harvest that brings glory to His name.

Discernment or Distrust? Knowing the Difference Matters

In recent years, discernment has become a popular word in Christian conversation. It is often invoked to justify opinions, conclusions, and even separations from other believers. Yet Scripture calls us to pause and examine something critically important: not everything we label as discernment is truly biblical discernment.

We must be very careful that what we call discernment is not, in reality, a suspicious mind at work.

What Biblical Discernment Is—and What It Is Not

True discernment is not fueled by fear, cynicism, or a constant expectation of deception. It does not begin with assumptions, nor does it thrive on rumors, tone-reading, or selective listening. Biblical discernment begins with submission to God, reverence for His Word, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Suspicion looks for evidence to confirm what it already believes.
Discernment seeks God’s wisdom before forming a conclusion.

Suspicion divides prematurely.
Discernment clarifies patiently.

Suspicion hardens the heart.
Discernment sharpens the spirit.

The difference may appear subtle at first, but its fruit is unmistakable. Suspicion produces distance, distrust, and division. Discernment produces understanding, wisdom, and spiritual maturity.

Discernment Must Be Anchored in Scripture

The Bible instructs believers to “test the spirits,” but it never instructs us to abandon love in the process. Discernment detached from Scripture quickly becomes subjective—driven by feelings, preferences, experiences, or cultural influences rather than eternal truth.

God’s Word is the plumb line. If what we are discerning cannot be clearly measured against Scripture, then what we are practicing may not be discernment at all.

True discernment:

  • Submits every thought to the authority of Scripture

  • Is guided by the Holy Spirit, not personal offense

  • Is exercised with humility, not superiority

  • Produces peace, not confusion

  • Builds up the Body of Christ rather than tearing it down

Love and Discernment Must Walk Together

Discernment without love becomes harsh and judgmental.
Love without discernment becomes careless and naïve.

Scripture never calls us to choose one over the other. We are commanded to walk in truth and love together. When discernment is genuine, it does not rejoice in exposing error for its own sake; it seeks restoration, clarity, and alignment with God’s will.

If our “discernment” consistently results in isolation, bitterness, or an inability to extend grace, then it is time to reexamine its source.

A Prayerful Call to Reflection

Perhaps the most important question we can ask is this:
Have I taken my conclusions to God before presenting them as discernment?

Discernment grows in prayer, not speculation. It is refined in humility, not haste. It matures in those who are teachable, repentant, and anchored in God’s Word.

May the Lord grant us hearts that are wise, spirits that are sensitive to His leading, and minds renewed by truth—so that we may rightly discern what is from Him and what is not, without confusing suspicion for spiritual insight.

📌 Work While It Is Day — The Final Full Week of the Year

As the final full week of 2025 approaches, it’s hard not to pause and reflect on just how quickly this year has passed—and how truly brief life is.

So often, we become consumed with dates and deadlines…
appointments and obligations…
work, family, bills, responsibilities, and the relentless pace of life.

Yet with the close of each day, we are one day closer to our final day on earth.

Jesus reminds us with sobering clarity:
📖 “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4)

As we stand at the threshold of another year coming to an end, let this be a moment not of fear—but of focus. A moment to realign our priorities, redeem our time, and ask ourselves how we are investing the days God has given us.

The calendar is turning.
The clock is moving.
The question is not how much time remains—but how we will use it.

Let us enter this final full week with purpose, gratitude, and resolve…
to love deeply, forgive quickly, serve faithfully, and work while it is day.

📌 Freedom to Worship Is a Gift—Global Mission Is Our Responsibility

More than likely, many reading this post were born or live in the United States. While we have our share of challenges, one distinction we still hold above much of the world is the freedom to worship openly. The U.S. continues to send out more missionaries than any other nation—and that is something to be thankful for.

Yet if we’re not careful, that blessing can make us insensitive to the countless places where such freedom does not exist.

Pilgrim Outreach Ministries is an international ministry. For 20 years, we served in Italy, preaching, teaching, and proclaiming Jesus Christ. Now, we are relocating to the Philippines, where we will continue the same mission—faithfully and boldly.

The fruit of this ministry speaks for itself:
Lives changed. Souls saved. The sick healed. The bound delivered. The lost restored. Believers filled with the Holy Spirit.

We are asking you to do three things:

  • Pray for us

  • Extend your faith with us

  • Prayerfully consider supporting the work God has called us to do

The harvest is ready. The call is clear. And together, we can reach beyond borders with the hope of the Gospel.
