✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK
From Jordan, 16 — Mesa, Arizona

“Hi, Pastor James. I’m kind of nervous asking this, but here it goes…

I feel pressured to fit in at school and online. Everyone seems so confident about who they are and what they believe. I act like I’m okay, but inside I’m confused about my identity, my faith, and where I belong.

If I really trust God, why do I still feel insecure and afraid of rejection? How do I stay true to my faith when I just want to be accepted?”

Hi Jordan — thank you for your courage in asking a question many teens and young adults carry silently.

What you’re feeling doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re growing. Insecurity often appears just before clarity.

Here’s what I want you to hear clearly:
Wanting to belong is human — learning who you belong to is spiritual.

The world says, “Change yourself to be accepted.”
God says, “Come as you are, and I’ll shape you with purpose.”

✨ Your worth is not measured by likes or popularity.
✨ Feeling unsure does not cancel your faith — it deepens it.
✨ You don’t need to know who you’ll be forever — just who you trust today.

When insecurity whispers lies, pray this:

“Lord, remind me who I am in You.
Help me value Your voice above every other.”

You were never created to blend in — you were created to belong to God. Confidence comes from standing firm in Him.

📘 You Say This, But What Does the Bible Say About It?

Stay grounded. Stay honest. Stay close to God. You are not lost — you are being led.
