Even more exciting—August brings the release of Glance, my first-ever fiction story now in printed form! Originally written as a screenplay concept, Glance has evolved into a full-length storybook—and I couldn’t be more excited.

The story follows Dr. Eugene Karl Howard, a widowed father and the director of a leading medical facility. After a near-death experience, Dr. Howard begins to see anomalies in people—patterns and genetic signs invisible to the human eye. As he investigates these signs, he uncovers a much deeper and more spiritual reality: he’s been entrusted with a gift meant to heal—but also to warn.

Glance is a journey into science, prophecy, healing, and the tension between the visible and invisible. It’s written to engage readers of faith, science lovers, and anyone who’s ever wondered what happens when purpose interrupts the predictable.

Life is filled with questions that don’t have easy answers. But two that come up again and again in moments of pain are:

“If God is good, why doesn’t He fix this broken world?”
“And why do bad things happen to good people?”

Let’s explore these honestly—and biblically.

🌎 Why Doesn’t God Fix This Broken World?

The truth is, God did create the world good. But sin fractured that beauty, introducing death, pain, and injustice (Romans 5:12). The brokenness we see around us isn’t evidence of God’s absence—it’s the result of mankind’s rebellion.

Yet God hasn’t left us in our brokenness. He sent Jesus to redeem us (John 3:16), and promises that a day is coming when He will wipe away every tear and make all things new (Revelation 21:4).

So why not now?

Because God is patient. He’s giving people time to turn to Him before final judgment (2 Peter 3:9). His delay is mercy, not neglect.

💔 Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

Sometimes pain falls on the very people who seem to deserve it least. But even the Bible’s greatest heroes—Joseph, Job, David, Paul, and even Jesus—suffered deeply.

Jesus never promised life would be pain-free. In fact, He said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart—I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

The reality is: this world is not our home. Pain is part of the journey, but it’s not the destination. Romans 8:28 assures us that God is at work—even in the suffering—turning brokenness into blessing for those who trust Him.

🕊 Final Encouragement

If you’re struggling to understand why life hurts, take comfort in this: God doesn’t require perfect understanding—just mustard-seed faith (Matthew 17:20). He sees your questions, your tears, and your doubts. And He walks with you through all of it.

Hold on. The story isn’t over yet.

📖 The Power of 2 Chronicles 7:14

The promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 is as true today as the day it was spoken:

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
