THE GOSPEL MUST GO FORWARD! SOMETIMES HELPING ONE MORE CHANGES EVERYTHING!

A $100,000 First Step Toward a $1.9 Million Missionary Vision for the Philippines

Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International | November 2026

Scriptural Foundation: James 2:17 (KJV)

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."

WE HAVE PRAYED. WE HAVE PLANNED. WE HAVE GONE. NOW WE ARE ASKING!

Family, friends, ministry partners, and everyone who believes that compassion should extend beyond words:

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

My wife, Cecilia, and I are back in the Philippines, where the needs confronting children, families, and communities remind us daily why God placed this missionary calling upon our hearts.

We didn't come here simply to talk about the love of Jesus Christ.

WE CAME TO DEMONSTRATE IT!

We believe the Gospel must be proclaimed in word and deed.

That means preaching salvation through Jesus Christ while also recognizing that the people listening may be hungry, sick, struggling financially, or desperately searching for hope.

A child needs an education.

A mother needs food for her family.

A father needs help recovering from a disaster.

Someone needs medical attention.

Someone else needs a Bible, prayer, or simply a compassionate person willing to listen.

And sometimes, one person deciding to help can change everything.

That's the heart behind our GoFundMe campaign:

HELP US HELP THEM: HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES

A $1.9 MILLION VISION—BUT WE'RE STARTING WITH $100,000!

I realize that $1.9 million is an enormous amount of money.

Believe me, I know!

But when we began examining the long-term needs of this ministry, including facilities, transportation, educational assistance, humanitarian relief, medical and dental outreach, evangelism, and community development, we recognized that the complete vision would require substantial resources.

We're not asking you to provide $1.9 million today.

WE'RE ASKING YOU TO HELP US TAKE THE FIRST STEP!

Our Phase One fundraising goal is $100,000.

This initial funding will help us strengthen the ministry's infrastructure, expand existing outreach efforts, support children and families, and begin laying the foundation for a permanent ministry presence capable of serving communities throughout the Philippines.

Our long-term vision includes:

  • Evangelism, church planting, and open-air Gospel outreaches.

  • Educational assistance and student sponsorship.

  • Food distribution and humanitarian relief.

  • Medical and dental outreach.

  • Youth ministry and community development.

  • Bible distribution and Christian discipleship.

  • Family assistance and emergency support.

  • A permanent ministry headquarters to support and expand these activities.

We know we cannot accomplish everything at once.

But we also know something else.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO FINISH THE ENTIRE JOURNEY TO TAKE THE FIRST FAITHFUL STEP!

WHY THIS TIME OF YEAR MATTERS SO MUCH

Christmas is approaching.

For many families, this season brings excitement, celebrations, gifts, and joyful anticipation.

But here in the Philippines, not every family experiences Christmas that way.

Some are recovering from storms and flooding.

Others are struggling with poverty, unemployment, sickness, and the rising cost of daily necessities.

Some children will have very little to celebrate unless someone chooses to help.

That's why our annual Christmas outreach remains so important.

This year, we are working toward reaching 500 families with practical assistance and the message of Jesus Christ.

Food matters.

Clothing matters.

School supplies matter.

Children's gifts matter.

But above all, we want people to understand why we are here.

JESUS CHRIST CAME INTO THIS WORLD BECAUSE GOD LOVED US!

John 3:16 reminds us that God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son.

HE GAVE—SO WE GIVE!

Our Christmas outreach is one part of the broader missionary work this GoFundMe campaign is intended to strengthen.

The needs will not disappear on December 26.

Neither will our responsibility to care.

SOMETIMES HELPING ONE MORE CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Over the years, I've learned something that has become increasingly important to me.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ABLE TO HELP EVERYBODY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Sometimes you simply have to be willing to help one more.

One more child.

One more family.

One more community.

One more person who needs encouragement.

One more soul who needs to hear the Gospel.

We may not be able to feed every hungry family in the Philippines.

We may not be able to provide medical care for everyone who needs it.

We may not be able to rebuild every damaged home or meet every educational need.

But does that mean we should do nothing?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

If we can help one family, let's help that family.

If we can provide food for ten children, let's feed those children.

If we can assist one struggling student, let's make that opportunity available.

And if we can share the Gospel with one more person, let's do it!

THE PEOPLE WE CANNOT HELP SHOULD NEVER BECOME OUR EXCUSE FOR REFUSING TO HELP THOSE WE CAN!

YOUR GIFT MATTERS—WHATEVER THE AMOUNT!

Perhaps you cannot give $1,000.

Maybe $500 is beyond your means.

Perhaps even $100 would place a burden upon your finances.

We understand.

We're not asking everyone to give the same amount.

We're asking everyone who believes in this mission to prayerfully consider doing something.

Consider what happens when people work together.

Ten people giving $25 becomes $250.

One hundred people giving $100 becomes $10,000.

One thousand people giving $100 becomes $100,000.

That's our Phase One goal!

Of course, we recognize that reaching this amount will require sustained generosity, faithful stewardship, and a great deal of work.

But the principle remains.

LITTLE BECOMES MUCH WHEN MANY HANDS CARRY IT TOGETHER!

And if you cannot give financially, you can still help.

Share the campaign.

Tell your church.

Mention it to your family.

Encourage a friend to learn about our work.

And please pray for us.

Your prayers and encouragement are never insignificant.

WE'RE NOT BUILDING A MONUMENT. WE'RE BUILDING A MINISTRY!

I want to make something clear.

Our long-range vision includes establishing a permanent ministry headquarters in the Philippines.

But our purpose is not simply to own a building.

WE WANT A BASE FROM WHICH THE GOSPEL CAN GO FORWARD!

A place where missionary activities can be organized.

Where outreach supplies can be prepared and distributed.

Where educational and humanitarian programs can be supported.

Where ministry workers can coordinate efforts.

And where evangelistic outreach can continue expanding into communities that desperately need encouragement and assistance.

The facilities, transportation, and infrastructure are not the ultimate goal.

PEOPLE ARE THE REASON!

Buildings are tools.

Vehicles are tools.

Resources are tools.

And fundraising is a tool.

The mission is to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ while demonstrating His love through practical service.

WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE—BUT PERHAPS WE WERE NEVER SUPPOSED TO!

There's something beautiful about the Body of Christ.

God has given different people different abilities, resources, opportunities, and responsibilities.

Some can go.

Some can give.

Some can teach.

Some can organize.

Some can encourage.

And all of us can pray.

My wife and I are here in the Philippines, but this ministry is not something we want to accomplish by ourselves.

We want you to become part of the story.

When you support this work, you are helping us pursue opportunities to serve people you may never personally meet.

You may never see the child who receives school supplies.

You may never shake hands with the family that receives food.

You may never meet the person who hears the Gospel through an outreach your generosity helped make possible.

But your participation still matters.

YOUR FEET TO THE NATIONS!

That's more than a slogan.

It's an invitation to participate in missionary work beyond the boundaries of your own community.

WHY WE'RE ASKING

James 4:2 reminds us:

"Ye have not, because ye ask not."

We've prayed.

We've planned.

We've traveled.

We've worked.

And we've begun doing what we believe the Lord has called us to do.

But we cannot pretend that the financial needs are small.

They are not.

So we're asking.

Not demanding.

Not pressuring.

Not promising that a donation will guarantee you a financial blessing.

Simply asking you to consider partnering with us.

WILL YOU HELP US HELP THEM?

Our immediate fundraising objective is $100,000.

Our long-range vision approaches $1.9 million.

Our Christmas outreach goal is 500 families.

And our continuing mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed.

Every prayer matters.

Every share matters.

Every contribution matters.

A PERSONAL WORD FROM THE PHILIPPINES

When I look at the work before us, I see tremendous challenges.

But I also see extraordinary possibilities.

After 27 years of service in the United States Navy and decades of Christian ministry, I've learned that great things seldom happen without sacrifice, perseverance, and a willingness to begin.

There are still communities to reach.

Children whose futures can be strengthened.

Families who need assistance.

People who need encouragement.

And souls who need to hear that Jesus Christ still saves, still loves, still restores, and still gives hope.

We cannot do everything today.

But we can do something.

And with your help, perhaps we can do considerably more.

SOMETIMES HELPING ONE MORE CHANGES EVERYTHING!
