PILGRIM OUTREACH MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL | CHRISTMAS 2026 PHILIPPINES MISSION
HE GAVE—SO WE GIVE!
Christmas Is More Than a Date on the Calendar. It's an Opportunity to Change Someone's Life.
Scriptural Foundation: Acts 20:35 (KJV)
"...remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."
CHRISTMAS IS COMING—BUT NOT EVERYONE IS CELEBRATING!
The first full weekend of November has arrived!
And with it comes the anticipation, excitement, and expectation of another Christmas season.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2026
48
DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
500
FAMILIES WE HOPE TO REACH
Already, people are making their plans.
Christmas decorations are appearing. Shopping lists are growing. Families are discussing where they will gather, what they will eat, and which gifts they hope to find beneath their Christmas trees.
For many, it is indeed the most wonderful time of the year.
But beloved, for countless others, Christmas will be just another day of struggling to survive.
There will be no beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
No presents wrapped in colorful paper.
No special Christmas dinner.
No excitement about what tomorrow might bring.
For some families, the greatest Christmas gift imaginable would be something many of us take for granted:
Enough food to feed their children.
And for those families, December 25th may come and go without anything to distinguish it from the day before or the day after.
Not because they don't believe in Christmas.
Not because they don't love their children.
But because poverty has robbed them of the resources to celebrate it.
And that, my friends, is where ministry must become more than something we talk about!
CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT SOMETHING FAR GREATER THAN PRESENTS
Now, allow me to clarify something.
December 25th is not a historically established date for the actual birth of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures do not tell us the precise day on which our Savior was born.
But that does not diminish the significance of what Christians around the world remember and celebrate during this season.
More than 2,000 years ago, something extraordinary happened that forever changed human history.
The Son of God entered our world!
The Savior was born!
And heaven's greatest gift was presented to a world desperately in need of redemption.
John 3:16 declares:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Notice that little word.
GAVE!
God so loved the world that He GAVE!
He did not merely express concern about humanity's condition.
He did not simply observe our suffering from a distance.
He acted!
He gave us His Son!
And through Jesus Christ, He offered something that no amount of money could ever purchase: eternal life.
Beloved, that is the heart of Christmas!
HE GAVE—SO WE GIVE!
Here is something I want every reader to understand.
Ministry, when practiced according to the example of Jesus Christ, has much in common with the true meaning of Christmas.
It is about giving.
Not merely giving money.
But giving ourselves.
Giving our time.
Giving our resources.
Giving our compassion.
Giving our attention to people whom others may have overlooked or forgotten.
Jesus said in Acts 20:35:
"...It is more blessed to give than to receive."
And I have discovered something throughout my years of ministry and missionary service.
Sometimes the greatest blessing isn't what you receive from someone.
It's knowing that God allowed you to become the answer to someone else's prayer!
Imagine a mother who has been wondering how she will feed her children on Christmas Day.
Imagine a father who wants desperately to provide something special for his family but simply doesn't have the money.
Imagine a child who has never received a Christmas present.
Now imagine someone showing up with a food basket, a bag of rice, a Bible, toys, and school supplies.
And then imagine that family hearing the wonderful message of Jesus Christ!
That is more than a Christmas distribution.
That is the Gospel being demonstrated through love!
First John 3:18 reminds us:
"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
OUR CHRISTMAS MISSION IN THE PHILIPPINES
Cecilia and I are back in the Philippines, and our ministry team is preparing for something very special.
Through Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, our goal is to reach 500 families this Christmas season.
Five hundred families!
Not simply 500 names on a list.
Not merely 500 statistics.
But 500 households with real people, real struggles, real needs, and real hopes.
And behind many of those families are children who deserve to know that they have not been forgotten.
We want to provide something practical, meaningful, and spiritually uplifting to each family we are able to reach.
Food that a family can prepare and share together, making Christmas Day a little brighter.
Because while food nourishes the body, God's Word offers truth, hope, and the message of eternal life.
Something to bring a smile, create a happy memory, and remind a child that someone cares.
Practical assistance for school-age children whose families may struggle to afford the basic necessities of education.
A simple but meaningful provision that can help feed a family beyond Christmas Day.
And above all, we want to present the love of Jesus Christ through our words, our actions, and our willingness to serve.
Because the greatest gift we can share isn't something that comes from a store.
It is the message of salvation through Jesus Christ!
WHY WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP TODAY
Let me speak to you personally.
We have 48 days remaining until Christmas.
And while that may sound like plenty of time, those of us involved in organizing missionary outreach know how quickly those days can disappear.
There are families to identify.
Supplies to purchase.
Food baskets to prepare.
Gifts to organize.
Transportation to arrange.
And ministry activities to coordinate.
All of that requires planning.
All of that requires people.
And yes, all of that requires financial resources.
That is why I am asking you to help us TODAY, if you are able.
Not because I want to pressure anyone.
Not because I believe generosity should ever be motivated by guilt.
But because early contributions will allow our ministry team to begin purchasing and preparing the gifts we have selected for the families.
The sooner we receive the necessary support, the sooner we can begin turning these plans into reality.
And remember something important.
We are not asking you to do everything.
We are asking you to consider doing something.
You may not be able to provide for 500 families.
But perhaps you can help provide for one.
Perhaps you can help purchase Bibles.
Perhaps you can help provide rice.
Perhaps you can contribute toward school uniforms, supplies, or toys.
And if you are unable to contribute financially, you can still help by praying for this outreach and sharing this message with someone who may be able to participate.
Every sincere act of generosity matters.
WHAT IF THAT WERE YOUR CHILD?
I want you to consider something for a moment.
Suppose you were the parent struggling to feed your family.
Suppose you were the mother trying to explain to her children why there would be no Christmas gifts.
Suppose you were the father who had worked as hard as he possibly could, yet still couldn't provide the basic necessities his family needed.
Wouldn't it mean something if a complete stranger, perhaps someone living thousands of miles away, cared enough to help?
Wouldn't it be encouraging to know that somebody remembered you?
Somebody prayed for you?
Somebody gave so that your family could have something special?
Beloved, that is what we are hoping to accomplish here in the Philippines.
And there is something else.
When we give with the right motives, we are not simply handing out material possessions.
We are communicating something far more important:
"You matter. Your family matters. Your children matter. And God has not forgotten you."
That message can remain in someone's heart long after the Christmas food has been eaten and the toys have been put away.
FIVE HUNDRED FAMILIES! ONE ETERNAL MISSION!
Our Christmas outreach is not about how much recognition Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International receives.
It is not about how many photographs we take or how many people congratulate us.
It is about fulfilling the mission Christ has placed before us.
It is about reaching people.
Serving families.
Helping children.
And sharing the Gospel.
We want the people we serve to see the love of Christ demonstrated through practical kindness.
And we want those who support this mission to know that their generosity is helping us reach families who otherwise might receive very little this Christmas.
Five hundred families! One eternal mission!
What an opportunity!
What a privilege!
And what a responsibility!
WILL YOU HELP US GET STARTED TODAY?
I know that many of you have financial responsibilities of your own.
I understand that the economy has placed pressure on families around the world.
And I would never want anyone to neglect their own essential needs or family obligations to support our ministry.
But if the Lord has blessed you with the ability to help, would you prayerfully consider becoming part of this Christmas outreach?
Your gift, regardless of its size, can help us purchase the supplies we need.
And your prayers can encourage and strengthen our team as we prepare to serve.
We are ready to begin purchasing the Christmas gifts and supplies. We need your help to make it possible.

MY PRAYER FOR THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the greatest gift ever given—Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Thank You for reminding us that true generosity is not measured merely by the size of our gifts, but by the love and sincerity with which we give.
Lord, I bring before You the families here in the Philippines who are struggling to provide the basic necessities of life.
You know their names.
You know their circumstances.
You know the needs of their children.
And You know the burdens they carry.
Father, please provide the resources necessary for this Christmas outreach.
Touch the hearts of those who are able to help.
Strengthen those who are struggling themselves.
Give our ministry team wisdom, compassion, integrity, and endurance as we prepare to serve.
And above all, may every family we reach encounter the love of Jesus Christ.
Let this Christmas be more than another day on the calendar.
Let it become a testimony of Your goodness, mercy, and provision.
In Jesus' mighty name,
Amen and Amen!
BEFORE YOU GO, REMEMBER THIS
Forty-eight days from now, Christmas Day will arrive.
The decorations will be displayed.
The celebrations will begin.
The gifts will be opened.
And for many of us, another Christmas will become another treasured memory.
But somewhere here in the Philippines, there is a family wondering whether this Christmas will be any different from the last.
Together, we have an opportunity to help make it different.
Not because we have everything.
Not because we can solve every problem.
But because we serve a Savior who taught us that giving is a blessing.
He gave His life for us.
Surely, we can find ways to share His love with others.
HE GAVE—SO WE GIVE!
PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM—ONE FAMILY, ONE CHILD, AND ONE SOUL AT A TIME!
