🙏 YOU DESPERATELY NEED A MIRACLE TODAY

Lay Your Hand on the Screen—And Let Us Pray

Maybe nobody around you knows how desperate things have become.

You have smiled.

You have gone to work.

You have answered the telephone.

You have taken care of your family.

You have told people, “I'm doing okay.”

But God knows differently.

Behind closed doors, you have prayed:

“Lord, I need a miracle.”

Not next month.

Not someday.

I need You today.

My friend, I know from experience that prayer changes things.

But I have also learned something else:

PRAYER CHANGES US.

Sometimes we pray for God to change our circumstances, and while we are waiting for the circumstances to change, God begins changing us.

He changes our thinking.

He changes our priorities.

He changes our hearts.

He replaces fear with faith.

He gives strength where weakness once lived.

He gives peace when nothing around us makes sense.

It is an inside-out work of God—a complete redo that only He can accomplish.

✝️ WHAT FAITH CAN DO

Listen to the extraordinary testimony recorded in Hebrews 11:32–38.

The writer reminds us of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets.

By faith, God's people:

Subdued kingdoms.

Obtained promises.

Stopped the mouths of lions.

Survived raging fire.

Escaped the sword.

Found strength in weakness.

Became mighty in battle.

Put armies to flight.

And women even received their dead back to life.

Those sound like miracles!

🔥 Impossible situations became possible.

🦁 Lions couldn't have the final word.

⚔️ Enemies couldn't have the final word.

🔥 Fire couldn't have the final word.

💪 Weakness couldn't have the final word.

GOD HAD THE FINAL WORD.

But don't stop reading there.

Hebrews also tells us about believers who suffered terribly. Some were mocked. Some were imprisoned. Some were tortured. Some were killed. Others wandered homeless and destitute.

And Scripture describes them with an unforgettable statement:

“OF WHOM THE WORLD WAS NOT WORTHY.”

—Hebrews 11:38

Do you see it?

Faith wasn't genuine only when the lion's mouth closed.

Faith was also genuine when the believer had to walk through the suffering.

Sometimes God delivers us FROM the fire.

Sometimes God walks with us THROUGH the fire.

But either way—

GOD IS STILL GOD.

🙏 DO YOU NEED A MIRACLE TODAY?

Maybe it concerns your marriage.

Your children.

Your finances.

Your health.

Your ministry.

Your job.

Your future.

Maybe you are waiting for a door to open.

Maybe you need God to restore something that appears completely broken.

Maybe you've prayed so long that you're beginning to wonder whether heaven is listening.

Don't stop praying.

Don't stop believing.

Don't surrender your faith because the answer hasn't arrived the way or when you expected.

God has not forgotten where you are.

🖐️ LAY YOUR HAND ON THE SCREEN

There is nothing magical about your computer screen or telephone.

Our faith is not in a screen. Our faith is in Jesus Christ.

But as a simple point of agreement, if you desperately need God today, place your hand on the screen.

Wherever you are.

At home.

At work.

In a hospital room.

Sitting in your automobile.

Alone in your bedroom.

Thousands of miles away.

Let us pray together.

🙏 FATHER, WE NEED YOU

Heavenly Father,

Someone reading these words desperately needs You today.

They have reached a place where human ability, human wisdom, money, connections, doctors, friends, family, and their own strength cannot provide everything they need.

Lord, they need You.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask You to meet them right where they are.

Where there is fear, bring peace.

Where there is confusion, bring direction.

Where there is weakness, bring strength.

Where there is division, bring reconciliation.

Where there is bondage, bring freedom.

Where there is grief, bring comfort.

Where there is hopelessness, restore hope.

Where a door needs to open according to Your will, open it.

Where a door would lead them away from Your purpose, close it.

Where circumstances need to change, intervene.

And while they wait for circumstances to change, Father, change them from the inside out.

Give them enduring faith.

Give them courage to face tomorrow.

Remind them that they are not walking through this valley alone.

Lord, we are asking for the miracle.

We are believing You for the answer.

But above everything else, we place ourselves into Your hands and say:

“Not our will, but Yours be done.”

Whether You deliver us from the fire or walk beside us through it, we will trust You.

Whether the answer comes suddenly or we must continue waiting, we will trust You.

Whether You change the situation first or begin by changing us—

WE WILL TRUST YOU.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen and Amen.

🔥 NOW EXPECT GOD TO MOVE

Take your hand from the screen, but don't take your faith off God.

Pray.

Believe.

Watch.

Listen.

Obey.

And expect God to answer according to His wisdom, His timing, and His will.

Your miracle may change your circumstances.

Your miracle may begin by changing you.

And sometimes the greatest miracle is discovering that the person who entered the storm is not the same person who comes out the other side.

Prayer changes things.

Prayer changes people.

Prayer changes us.

And our God is still the God of miracles.
