🌙 WHEN THE WORLD GOES QUIET, LET YOUR HEART REST IN GOD!

The day is ending. But your worries don't have to follow you into tomorrow.

There is something about nighttime that causes our thoughts to grow louder.

The distractions of the day disappear. The telephone stops ringing. The house becomes quiet.

And suddenly, everything we've been worrying about seems to demand our attention.

The bills. The children. The doctor's report. The unanswered prayer. The uncertain future.

But listen to what David declared in Psalm 4:8:

"In peace I will both lay me down and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."

David knew what it meant to face danger, uncertainty, opposition, and disappointment.

Yet he also knew where to find peace.

PEACE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF PROBLEMS. IT IS THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN THE MIDST OF THEM.

First Peter 5:7 tells us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us.

Notice that Scripture does not tell us to carry those burdens until we collapse beneath their weight.

It tells us to give them to God.

Tonight, perhaps there is a burden you've carried long enough.

You have thought about it. Worried about it. Lost sleep over it. Perhaps even cried about it.

Now take it to the Lord in prayer.

And when you finish praying, resist the temptation to pick it right back up again.

God does not promise that every problem will disappear overnight. But He does promise His presence, His grace, and His sustaining strength.

Before you close your eyes tonight, remember someone else who may be struggling. Pray for the lonely, the sick, the grieving, the missionary far from home, and the families who do not know where tomorrow's provisions will come from.

You may be ending your day, but somewhere in the world another person is just beginning theirs. Your prayers can reach places your feet cannot.

🙏 TONIGHT'S PRAYER: Father, thank You for carrying us through another day. Forgive our anxieties, calm our troubled hearts, and grant us peaceful rest. Remember those who are suffering tonight, and help us awaken tomorrow ready to serve You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

GOOD NIGHT, AND MAY THE PEACE OF GOD GUARD YOUR HEART!

Your Feet to the Nations.

Help us help them—one soul at a time.
