Let me ask you a question.

And today, I want to introduce you to the heart, mission, and vision behind our ministry.
Not simply because we want you to know our name.
But because WE WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND OUR PURPOSE!
✝️ WE EXIST TO MAKE JESUS CHRIST KNOWN!
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International is a full-Gospel, interdenominational Christian ministry dedicated to evangelism, discipleship, missionary outreach, and practical expressions of Christian compassion.
Our assignment is straightforward:
PREACH THE GOSPEL. MAKE DISCIPLES. HELP PEOPLE. GLORIFY GOD.
Jesus never commanded His Church to sit comfortably within four walls and wait for the world to come knocking.
He said, GO!
Go into the highways and byways.
Go into the villages and communities.
Go to the forgotten and overlooked.
Go to the hurting and discouraged.
Go to the people who may never walk through the doors of a traditional church.
And tell them the Good News!
JESUS CHRIST SAVES!
That is the foundation upon which POMI stands.
🇮🇹 FROM ITALY TO THE PHILIPPINES—THE MISSION CONTINUES!
For approximately two decades, our missionary efforts included ministry in Italy.
Then God began opening doors for another chapter.
On March 29, 2025, we began our missionary work in the Philippines.
Since then, we have witnessed both the extraordinary warmth of the Filipino people and the very real challenges facing many families and communities.
We've encountered people with tremendous faith and determination.
We've seen children eager to learn.
We've met families doing their very best with limited resources.
And we've been reminded repeatedly that ministry is about much more than delivering a sermon.
SOMETIMES YOU PREACH THE GOSPEL FROM A PULPIT.
SOMETIMES YOU DEMONSTRATE ITS LOVE BY HELPING SOMEONE THROUGH A DIFFICULT DAY.
Both matter.
And both are part of our calling.
❤️ WHAT DOES MISSIONARY WORK REALLY LOOK LIKE?
Let me paint a picture.
It isn't always a crowded auditorium with beautiful lighting and an impressive sound system.
Sometimes it's a simple home where a family gathers to hear the Word of God.
Sometimes it's a conversation with someone who has almost given up hope.
Sometimes it's helping a student obtain the supplies needed for school.
Sometimes it's delivering food or necessities to a struggling family.
Sometimes it's traveling over difficult roads to reach a community that rarely receives outside assistance.
And sometimes it's simply sitting beside someone, listening to their story, and reminding them:
YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN. GOD LOVES YOU. AND YOUR LIFE MATTERS!
James 2:17 declares:
"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone."
We believe that Christian compassion should be visible.
Not merely spoken.
VISIBLE!
🌱 SEVEN AREAS OF OUTREACH—ONE GREAT COMMISSION!
Our missionary vision encompasses seven major areas of service:
1. Church Planting and Evangelism — Helping establish Bible-centered fellowships and sharing the Gospel in communities that need spiritual encouragement.
2. Mobile Medical and Dental Outreach — Working toward the resources and partnerships necessary to bring healthcare assistance to underserved communities.
3. Adopt-a-School Initiatives — Supporting educational opportunities through sponsorships, school supplies, uniforms, and other practical assistance.
4. Adopt-an-Orphanage Initiatives — Developing partnerships to help care for vulnerable children and provide encouragement and needed resources.
5. Tent Revivals and Community Evangelism — Taking the message of salvation beyond church buildings and directly into communities.
6. Youth Development — Encouraging young people through mentoring, education, Christian teaching, and opportunities for personal growth.
7. Discipleship — Helping believers become spiritually grounded, mature in their faith, and equipped to share the Gospel with others.
Some of these efforts are already part of our ongoing work. Others represent the facilities, resources, and partnerships we are prayerfully working to establish.
OUR VISION IS LARGE BECAUSE THE NEED IS GREAT!
But every worthwhile undertaking begins somewhere.
And we believe that one faithful step can open the door to another.
🎓 BEHIND EVERY STUDENT IS A STORY!
One of the most meaningful parts of our missionary work involves helping children pursue an education.
Our student sponsorship efforts have grown from approximately fifteen students to thirty.
And our vision is to eventually assist 100 students!
Why?
Because education can help open doors that poverty has kept closed.
Because a school uniform can mean dignity and opportunity.
Because books and supplies can help a child remain in the classroom.
And because behind every sponsorship is a young person with dreams, potential, and a future worth investing in.
WE DON'T JUST SEE THIRTY STUDENTS.
WE SEE THIRTY LIVES THAT MATTER TO GOD!
And we're believing that, with prayer and faithful partnerships, we can help even more.
🎄 CHRISTMAS 2026—BELIEVING GOD FOR 500 FAMILIES!
Christmas holds a special place in our missionary efforts.
In 2025, we prepared to welcome approximately 100 families.
Nearly 200 attended!
There was singing.
There was fellowship.
There were meals, gifts, prayers, and opportunities to share the message of Jesus Christ.
This year, our goal is to reach 500 families!
Five hundred families who can experience the joy of Christmas and the kindness of people who care.
But please understand something.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT SETTING AN ATTENDANCE RECORD.
It's about people.
Children.
Parents.
Grandparents.
Families facing difficult circumstances.
And opportunities to share the greatest gift ever given:
JESUS CHRIST!
📖 OUR MINISTRY ALSO REACHES PEOPLE THROUGH BOOKS, MUSIC, AND THE INTERNET!
Not every missionary journey requires an airplane ticket.
Sometimes a message reaches someone through a computer screen.
Sometimes a devotional appears just when someone needs encouragement.
Sometimes a Christian book helps answer a question a reader has wrestled with for years.
Sometimes a Gospel song speaks to a heart that words alone could not reach.
Through our ministry blog, published books, original Gospel music, sermons, and online outreach, we are working to share biblical truth and Christian encouragement with people wherever they may be.
And every visit to our ministry blog represents another opportunity for someone to encounter a message of hope.

Now, let me speak directly to you.
Perhaps you're retired.
Perhaps you're raising a family.
Perhaps you're working two jobs.
Perhaps you're a pastor, teacher, business owner, student, or someone simply trying to make ends meet.
You may never travel to the Philippines.
You may never stand behind a missionary pulpit.
You may never visit the communities where we serve.
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU CANNOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
You can pray.
You can share our messages.
You can tell your church about our work.
You can introduce someone to our ministry.
You can encourage a missionary.
And, if the Lord leads you and your circumstances permit, you can help financially.
That's why we say:

We go where many of our friends and supporters cannot.
And together, we can help make the Gospel known.
❤️ A WORD ABOUT GIVING
I want to be very clear about something.
We do not want anyone giving out of fear, pressure, or guilt.
God's work should never be supported through emotional manipulation.
The Bible says:
"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." — 2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV)
If you are able and feel led to support our ministry, we would be grateful.
If you cannot give financially, your prayers and encouragement are still valuable.
And if you simply share one of our ministry messages with someone who needs it, that matters too.

🌍 THE NEXT CHAPTER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!
On October 31, 2026, we are preparing to begin another extended phase of missionary service in the Philippines and Asia.
Our plans include approximately nine months of ministry activity as we continue working toward the long-term development and expansion of POMI.
We're also pursuing the vision of establishing our ministry headquarters in the Philippines.
There are significant needs ahead.
Transportation.
Facilities.
Educational sponsorships.
Humanitarian supplies.
Medical and dental outreach resources.
Evangelistic equipment.
And the everyday practical necessities involved in missionary work.
We don't pretend that everything is already in place.
It isn't.
But we're committed to prayerful planning, faithful stewardship, and taking the next step as God provides the opportunity.
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.
OUR FAITH IS NOT IN THE SIZE OF OUR RESOURCES.
OUR FAITH IS IN THE GOD WHO CALLS US TO SERVE!
💬 WHY DO WE KEEP GOING?
After twenty-seven years of service in the United States Navy, more than fifty years of walking with the Lord, and decades of ministry, I could easily understand why someone might ask:
"Pastor James, why not just slow down and enjoy retirement?"
And I appreciate the question.
But here's my answer.
BECAUSE THERE IS STILL WORK TO BE DONE!
There are still souls who need to hear the Gospel.
There are still children who need encouragement.
There are still families who need assistance.
There are still young people who need guidance.
And there are still people wondering whether anyone truly cares about them.
As long as the Lord gives me breath, strength, and opportunity, I want to keep doing what He has called me to do.
Not for recognition.
Not for applause.
Not for personal gain.
BUT FOR THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE GOOD OF OTHERS!

Raise up faithful workers, prayer partners, and supporters who share our desire to make Jesus Christ known.
And above everything else, may souls be saved, believers strengthened, families encouraged, and Your holy name glorified.
