I'VE GOT A REASON!
A reason to sing. A reason to testify. A reason to dance!
An original gospel song by James Langston
“O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”
— Psalm 47:1 (KJV)
Have you ever stopped to count the reasons you have to praise God? Not merely the big miracles or the prayers answered in spectacular fashion, but the everyday mercies: another morning, another opportunity, strength for another step, and the unfailing faithfulness of the Lord.
Some days our praise comes through laughter. Other days it comes through tears. But through every season, we can look back and remember that God has brought us this far. And that is reason enough to lift our voices!
🎶 Introducing My New Original Gospel Song
Following the release of “Who Are You Gonna Believe?”, I am delighted to share another original composition: “I'VE GOT A REASON.”
This song began with a simple declaration of praise and grew into an invitation for everyone to join in. Its message is straightforward: when you remember what the Lord has done, you discover reason after reason to sing, testify, and dance!
“I've got a reason—reason to sing!”
“Do you have a reason?”
“Yes, I've got a reason!”

Turn up the volume, clap your hands, and join the celebration! The song is available to hear through Suno:

🙌 What's YOUR Reason?
Maybe you have a reason to sing because the Lord carried you through a difficult year. Maybe you have a reason to testify because a door opened when every other door seemed closed. Maybe you have a reason to dance because God restored your joy, strengthened your faith, or gave you hope when you were ready to give up.
Whatever your testimony may be, don't keep it to yourself. Encourage somebody today. Share what God has done. Your testimony might be exactly what another person needs to hear.
And if you are still waiting for your breakthrough, remember: praise is not reserved for the day every problem disappears. We can praise the Lord in the waiting, too.
🎤 A Special Invitation to Gospel Music Producers and the Music Industry
To gospel music producers, recording artists, choir directors, quartet groups, arrangers, record labels, music publishers, and music industry professionals—both within Christian music and the broader music community:
I invite you to listen to my original gospel compositions, including “I've Got a Reason” and “Who Are You Gonna Believe?” These songs were written to communicate faith, encouragement, and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
If you believe one of these compositions could find a home with your choir, artist, quartet, recording project, or music ministry, I would welcome a conversation about appropriate professional opportunities, arrangements, collaborations, or licensing.
Original songs. A timeless message. A desire to reach one more soul.
