When I finished my previous book, my wife, Cecilia, and I were already preparing for another extended missionary journey to the Philippines.

Quite frankly, writing another book wasn't on my schedule.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that there was one more book waiting to be written.

I've often said:

"Get to going while the getting is good."

Or, to put it another way, when the stove is hot and the water is boiling, you might as well keep cooking!

So that's exactly what I did.

And somewhere along the way, those three little words appeared:

So... Now What?

The more I considered them, the more I realized how many people are quietly asking that very question.

People of every age.

People from every background.

The wealthy and the poor.

The successful and the struggling.

The young adult beginning life's journey and the retiree wondering what comes next.

Because regardless of our circumstances, none of us is exempt from life's unexpected turns.

A BOOK ABOUT MORE THAN STARTING OVER

One of the Scriptures at the heart of this book is Proverbs 16:9 (KJV):

"A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps."

We make plans.

And there's nothing wrong with making plans.

But sometimes God directs our steps along roads we never anticipated traveling.
