π DON'T STOP PRAYING! OUR WORLD NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS!
π From the White House to the War Zones, From Our Schools to Our Homes—Prayer Still Changes Things!
“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
There is something I want to place on the hearts of our readers, viewers, friends, followers, and supporters of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International today.
PLEASE DON'T STOP PRAYING!
Not because I believe God has stopped listening. Not because I believe the world is beyond hope. And certainly not because I believe our prayers are falling on deaf ears.
Quite the opposite!
I am asking you to keep praying because I believe with all my heart that PRAYER STILL CHANGES THINGS!
Everywhere we look, something is happening that deserves our attention and, more importantly, our prayers.
Wars are being fought. Nations are struggling. Families are hurting. Political tensions are rising. Natural disasters are devastating communities. People are battling sicknesses, financial difficulties, loneliness, fear, and uncertainty.
And sometimes, with so much happening around us, we become overwhelmed.
We watch the news. We shake our heads. We express our concerns. We discuss what is happening with family members, friends, and coworkers.
But somewhere along the way, we sometimes forget the most powerful thing we can do.
WE CAN PRAY!
And not just once. Not just when something makes the headlines. Not just when tragedy strikes close to home.
WE CAN KEEP PRAYING!
π ONE CAN CHASE A THOUSAND—BUT WHAT ABOUT TWO?
Consider the words of Deuteronomy 32:30:
“How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?”
In its original context, this verse speaks of God's judgment and the extraordinary circumstances surrounding Israel's enemies. But it also reminds us of something important: human strength alone cannot explain what happens when God is involved.
Now consider what might happen when believers around the world unite in prayer.
One person praying in Virginia.
Another praying in Texas.
A grandmother praying in the Philippines.
A pastor praying in Africa.
A missionary praying in Asia.
A family praying in Europe.
Different places. Different languages. Different circumstances.
BUT THE SAME GOD!
We may never know this side of eternity how many lives have been touched, how many tragedies have been averted, how many hearts have been changed, or how many doors have opened because somebody, somewhere, was praying.
That is why we must never underestimate the importance of intercessory prayer.
π OUR WORLD NEEDS A PRAYING CHURCH!
Let me mention just a few things that deserve a place in our prayers.
π️ 1. Pray for Iran, the Middle East, and Every War-Torn Nation
Pray for peace where there is war.
Pray for innocent civilians caught in the violence. Pray for grieving families, displaced children, wounded soldiers, humanitarian workers, and those who have lost everything.
Pray for Iran, Israel, and other nations affected by conflict. Pray for wisdom among leaders and for opportunities to end the bloodshed.
Remember Ukraine and other regions where violence, instability, and suffering continue.
War may be decided in government chambers and fought on battlefields, but the suffering reaches into ordinary homes.
And those homes need our prayers.
πΊπΈ 2. Pray for America and the Midterm Elections
As the November 2026 midterm elections approach, pray for our nation.
Pray for peaceful elections, integrity in the electoral process, wisdom among voters, and respect for the rule of law.
Pray that disagreements will not become hatred and that political differences will not destroy families, friendships, and communities.
Regardless of political affiliation, we can pray for honesty, justice, accountability, and the welfare of our fellow citizens.
Our responsibility to pray does not begin or end on Election Day!
πΊπΈ 3. Pray for President Donald Trump and His Administration
Whether you agree or disagree with President Trump, his administration, or the decisions being made in Washington, remember that those entrusted with governing our nation need prayer.
Pray for wisdom, sound judgment, integrity, humility, and a genuine concern for the people affected by their decisions.
Pray for members of Congress, the Supreme Court, governors, mayors, and other public servants.
Pray for our military personnel, first responders, law enforcement officers, and their families.
We do not have to agree with every decision a leader makes to recognize our biblical responsibility to pray for those in authority.
π« 4. Pray for Our Schools and Young People
Pray for our children!
Pray for their safety, their education, their emotional well-being, and their futures.
Pray for teachers who enter classrooms every morning carrying responsibilities that extend far beyond textbooks and lesson plans.
Pray for school administrators, counselors, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and everyone entrusted with caring for our children.
Pray against bullying, violence, exploitation, substance abuse, and hopelessness.
And please remember those young people who appear perfectly happy on the outside but are silently struggling on the inside.
Some child somewhere needs someone to pray for them today!
π΅ 5. Pray for the Economy and Struggling Families
Not everyone is doing well financially.
Some families are struggling to pay rent. Others are wondering how they will buy groceries, afford medical care, or keep their utilities connected.
Small-business owners face uncertainty. Workers worry about employment. Retirees worry about their savings.
Pray for economic stability, responsible leadership, meaningful employment, and opportunities for families to provide for their needs.
And when God gives us the opportunity, let us become part of the answer to someone's prayer through generosity, encouragement, and practical assistance.
πͺ️ 6. Pray for Victims of Natural Disasters
Earthquakes. Floods. Volcanic eruptions. Typhoons. Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Wildfires. Landslides. Droughts.
The list seems almost endless.
Here in our missionary work in the Philippines, we know how quickly severe weather and natural disasters can interrupt ordinary life.
A family can go to bed with a roof over their heads and wake up facing devastation.
Children can suddenly find themselves without schools. Communities can lose access to clean water, electricity, food, and medical care.
Pray for protection, rescue workers, relief organizations, displaced families, and the long process of rebuilding.
And remember this:
When the television cameras leave and the headlines disappear, the suffering does not necessarily end.
Please keep praying!
❤️ 7. Pray for the Sick, the Hurting, and the Forgotten
James 5:16 reminds us:
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Pray for those battling cancer, heart disease, diabetes, infections, chronic pain, and other illnesses.
Pray for people living with disabilities and for those who care for them.
Pray for the elderly who feel forgotten.
Pray for those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and thoughts of suicide.
Pray for families facing difficult medical decisions.
Pray for doctors, nurses, caregivers, and medical missionaries.
And remember that sometimes the person who needs prayer the most is the one who never asks for it.
✝️ 8. Pray for Churches, Missionaries, and the Spread of the Gospel
Please remember those carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ into communities where hope is desperately needed.
Pray for pastors, evangelists, missionaries, church planters, Bible teachers, and Christian humanitarian workers.
Pray for persecuted believers.
Pray for orphanages, schools, medical missions, feeding programs, and ministries serving vulnerable families.
And yes, please remember Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International as we continue preparing for the next phase of our missionary efforts in the Philippines and throughout Asia.
Our work involves much more than preaching sermons. It involves reaching people where they are, meeting practical needs whenever possible, and introducing them to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
We need your prayers just as much as we need your encouragement and support.
π SEVEN SCRIPTURES THAT REMIND US TO KEEP PRAYING
God's Word gives us powerful encouragement concerning prayer.
1. Deuteronomy 32:30 — Remember the Power of God
Our confidence must rest in God's power rather than our own strength.
2. Matthew 7:7 — Keep Asking, Seeking, and Knocking
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
Jesus encourages us to approach our heavenly Father with confidence and persistence.
3. Philippians 4:6–7 — Pray Instead of Being Consumed by Anxiety
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
God promises His peace to guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
4. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 — Never Abandon Prayer
“Pray without ceasing.”
Prayer should be a continuing part of our lives, not merely an emergency response.
5. James 5:16 — Fervent Prayer Matters
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Never underestimate sincere, heartfelt prayer.
6. 1 John 5:14 — Pray According to God's Will
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.”
Our confidence is not in controlling God's decisions but in trusting His wisdom and faithfulness.
7. Mark 11:24 — Pray with Faith
“What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Jesus calls us to genuine faith as we bring our requests before God.
These passages do not promise that every situation will turn out exactly as we desire. They teach us to pray persistently, faithfully, and with confidence in the God who hears us.
⏰ YOU DON'T HAVE TO PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING EVERY DAY!
Now, here is something I especially want you to understand.
I am not asking you to spend every waking moment reciting a never-ending list of world problems.
That is not what prayer is about.
You do not have to mention Iran, the economy, the elections, every natural disaster, every missionary, and every sick person in every prayer.
Some days, your heart may be burdened for the children.
Other days, you may feel compelled to pray for our national leaders.
Perhaps tomorrow you will hear about an earthquake and spend a few moments praying for the victims.
Maybe next week you will remember a friend battling sickness.
And perhaps one morning, without knowing why, someone halfway around the world will come to your mind.
PRAY FOR THEM!
You may never know why that person came to mind.
But you can bring them before the Lord.
The point is not to develop a perfect prayer schedule.
The point is to develop a heart that does not forget to pray.
We can pray while driving to work, preparing meals, walking through the neighborhood, sitting in a hospital waiting room, or lying awake at night.
Prayer does not require a particular building, a special vocabulary, or an elaborate ceremony.
It requires a heart willing to communicate with God.
π₯ DON'T LET YESTERDAY'S HEADLINES BECOME TODAY'S FORGOTTEN PRAYERS!
There is something about our modern world that troubles me.
We hear about a disaster, and for a few days everyone is talking about it.
Then another headline appears.
And another.
And another.
Before long, yesterday's tragedy has almost disappeared from public attention.
But the grieving mother is still grieving.
The injured child is still recovering.
The family whose home was destroyed is still trying to rebuild.
The soldier's family is still waiting.
The missionary is still serving.
The patient is still fighting.
JUST BECAUSE THE NEWS HAS MOVED ON DOES NOT MEAN THE NEED FOR PRAYER HAS ENDED!
That is why I am asking you to remember.
Remember the people.
Remember the places.
Remember the needs.
And above all, remember the God who hears and answers prayer.
π A PRAYER FOR OUR WORLD
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with thankful hearts, acknowledging that You are God and that nothing happening in this world is hidden from Your sight.
Lord, we lift up the nations experiencing war and violence. We pray for peace, protection, mercy, and healing.
We pray for America, our elections, President Trump and his administration, and every person entrusted with leadership and responsibility. Grant wisdom, integrity, justice, and compassion.
We pray for our schools, our children, our teachers, and our families.
We remember those facing financial hardships, unemployment, hunger, and uncertainty.
Father, we pray for those suffering from earthquakes, floods, typhoons, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, and other disasters. Strengthen the rescuers, comfort the grieving, and provide for those who have lost so much.
We pray for the sick, the lonely, the discouraged, the brokenhearted, and those who feel they have nowhere else to turn.
Remember our missionaries, pastors, churches, and Christian workers serving around the world.
And Lord, when we become distracted by the busyness of life, remind us to pray.
When the headlines disappear, remind us to pray.
When we do not understand what is happening, remind us to pray.
When the answers seem delayed, help us continue trusting You.
Teach us to pray with faith, humility, compassion, and perseverance.
Because we still believe that prayer changes things!
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
AMEN AND AMEN!
❤️ ONE FINAL REQUEST FROM MY HEART TO YOURS
Dear friends, I am not asking you to carry the weight of the entire world on your shoulders.
That burden is far too heavy for any of us.
I am simply asking you to remember that you have access to the One who holds the world in His hands.
You may not be able to stop a war.
You may not be able to prevent an earthquake.
You may not be able to solve the economic problems of a nation.
You may not be able to heal a sick child.
But you can pray.
You can care.
You can encourage.
And when the opportunity presents itself, you can do something practical to help.
SO PLEASE, DON'T STOP PRAYING!
Pray for your family. Pray for your neighbors. Pray for your country. Pray for other nations. Pray for those you know and those whose names you will never learn.
And when you have finished praying today, remember that tomorrow will bring another opportunity to talk with God.
PRAYER CHANGES THINGS.
PRAYER CHANGES PEOPLE.
AND SOMETIMES, THE FIRST PERSON GOD CHANGES THROUGH OUR PRAYERS IS US!
May God bless you, keep you, and strengthen you as we continue praying for one another and for our world.
With love and prayers,
