🙏 ARE YOU DOING YOUR BEST FOR THE LORD?

A Simple Question With Eternal Consequences

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." — Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

There is a question I want to ask you today.

Not to embarrass you.

Not to make you feel guilty.

Not to suggest that you haven't done enough.

But because it is a question that every Christian, including myself, should occasionally ask:

ARE YOU DOING YOUR BEST FOR THE LORD?

Now, before you answer, let me explain something.

I'm not asking whether you're doing as much as someone else.

I'm not asking how much money you've given, how many hours you've volunteered, or how many people you've personally led to Jesus Christ.

I'm asking something much simpler.

Are you giving God the best of what you have, with what He has entrusted to you?

Because there is a difference.

❤️ GOD DOESN'T EXPECT EVERYONE TO DO THE SAME THING!

Some people can travel halfway around the world to preach the Gospel.

Others cannot leave their homes.

Some can financially support entire missionary projects.

Others are struggling to pay their own bills.

Some are physically strong and capable of working long hours.

Others are elderly, disabled, recovering from illness, or dealing with circumstances that limit what they can physically accomplish.

BUT HERE IS SOMETHING WE MUST NEVER FORGET: OUR LIMITATIONS DO NOT MAKE US USELESS TO GOD!

Consider the widow in Mark 12:41–44.

Jesus watched people placing their offerings into the treasury. Many wealthy individuals gave substantial amounts.

Then came a poor widow who gave two small coins.

In the eyes of the world, her offering was insignificant.

But Jesus saw something others could not.

He saw her heart.

Her sacrifice.

Her willingness.

And He declared that she had given more than all the others.

Why?

Because God doesn't measure our giving merely by the amount.

HE SEES THE HEART BEHIND THE GIFT!

Second Corinthians 8:12 reminds us that a willing gift is accepted according to what a person has, not according to what that person does not have.

Please remember that Scripture.

It matters.

Especially when we talk about missionary work.

🌏 WE'RE RETURNING TO THE PHILIPPINES—WITH A PLAN, A VISION, AND FAITH!

On November 2, 2026, we are scheduled to return to the Philippines to continue the missionary work of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International.

We are not going simply to take another trip.

We're returning with a purpose.

A plan.

A vision.

And faith that God can accomplish what He has placed upon our hearts.

But let me share something with you that might surprise you.

WE HAVE THE PLAN. WE HAVE THE VISION. WE HAVE THE FAITH. BUT WE DO NOT YET HAVE THE FUNDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE IT!

That's not an exaggeration.

That's where things stand.

Years ago, God placed a missionary calling upon our hearts. Since then, we have prayed, planned, prepared, traveled, ministered, and continued believing that He would provide the means to accomplish the work.

Our long-term vision includes establishing and expanding ministry facilities, educational opportunities, community assistance, transportation, medical and dental outreach, youth programs, and other services that can make a lasting difference in the lives of families in the Philippines.

And as Christmas approaches, we are also preparing for an outreach with the goal of blessing 500 families with meals, gifts, school supplies, Bibles, and the message of Jesus Christ.

These are not small undertakings.

They require people.

They require planning.

They require resources.

And yes, they require money.

But they also require something that money cannot purchase.

FAITH!

🔥 GOD SAID, "GO!" AND WE MUST OBEY!

There comes a time in the life of a Christian when faith must move beyond words.

We can talk about trusting God.

We can preach about trusting God.

We can sing about trusting God.

But eventually, we must demonstrate that trust through obedience.

When Abraham was called to leave his homeland, Hebrews 11:8 tells us that he obeyed and went out, not knowing where he was going.

He didn't possess a detailed explanation of everything that awaited him.

But he trusted the One who called him.

Our circumstances are different, but the principle of obedience remains.

WE BELIEVE GOD HAS CALLED US TO GO. SO WE ARE GOING!

Does that mean every need will automatically be met?

No.

Does it mean there won't be obstacles, disappointments, delays, or difficult decisions?

Certainly not.

Faith does not eliminate the responsibility to plan wisely, exercise good stewardship, or acknowledge the challenges before us.

But we refuse to allow the absence of visible resources to become an excuse for abandoning what we believe God has called us to do.

We will take the steps available to us, continue praying, and trust God for the provision necessary to move forward.

THE PLAN IS IN OUR HANDS. THE ULTIMATE OUTCOME IS IN HIS!

🙏 YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GO—BUT YOU CAN STILL BE PART OF THE WORK!

This is where I want to speak directly to our readers, friends, followers, and present and prospective ministry partners.

Not everyone can travel to the Philippines.

Not everyone can make a financial contribution.

And not everyone is physically capable of participating in missionary work.

But there is something nearly every believer can do.

YOU CAN PRAY!

You can pray for our safety.

You can pray for our health and strength.

You can pray for wisdom and discernment.

You can pray that doors will open for the Gospel.

You can pray for the children, parents, and families we hope to reach.

You can pray that God will touch the hearts of individuals who have the resources and desire to invest in this missionary vision.

And you can pray that we will remain faithful to the calling God has placed upon our lives.

James 5:16 reminds us that the fervent prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Never underestimate that truth.

YOUR PRAYERS MAY ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING YOUR MONEY NEVER COULD!

And if God has blessed you with the ability to give, perhaps you can help provide some of the practical resources necessary to accomplish the work.

If you can share our messages with others, that matters too.

If you can introduce the ministry to someone who shares our vision, that can open doors.

If you can encourage us with a word of support, please know that encouragement is appreciated.

Every contribution does not have to look the same.

But every sincere act of participation can have meaning.

💰 WE'RE NOT ASKING YOU TO GIVE WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE!

Let me make something absolutely clear.

I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO FEEL GUILTY BECAUSE THEY CANNOT FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THIS MINISTRY.

If you're struggling to provide for your family, please take care of your responsibilities.

If you're facing medical expenses, financial hardship, or other serious obligations, we understand.

And if you're already supporting other worthwhile ministries, we thank God for your generosity.

This is not a competition between ministries.

It is not about who gives the most.

It is about faithful stewardship and willing hearts.

Second Corinthians 9:7 teaches that giving should not be reluctant or compelled, because God loves a cheerful giver.

That is the spirit in which we invite your partnership.

GIVE IF YOU CAN. PRAY WHETHER YOU GIVE OR NOT. AND PLEASE CONTINUE BELIEVING WITH US!

✝️ THE QUESTION THAT MATTERS MOST

Now, let us return to the question that began this message.

ARE YOU DOING YOUR BEST FOR THE LORD?

One day, each of us will give an account of our lives before God.

Romans 14:12 reminds us that every person will give an account of himself to God.

That is a sobering thought.

But it should also be an encouraging one.

Because God knows what others do not know.

He knows your circumstances.

He knows your limitations.

He knows your sacrifices.

He knows the prayers you have whispered when nobody else was listening.

He knows the kindness you have shown without receiving recognition.

He knows the times you wanted to do more but simply could not.

And He knows whether your heart has been willing.

We are not saved by the amount of work we accomplish or the money we give. Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, as Ephesians 2:8–9 declares.

But Ephesians 2:10 also reminds us that believers are created in Christ Jesus for good works.

Our service is not an attempt to purchase salvation.

IT IS AN EXPRESSION OF OUR LOVE AND GRATITUDE TO THE SAVIOR WHO HAS ALREADY GIVEN US SO MUCH!

So don't compare yourself to someone else.

Don't allow guilt to become your motivation.

And don't assume that because you cannot do everything, you have nothing to offer.

Simply ask yourself:

"Lord, with what You have given me, what would You have me do?"

Then be willing to obey.

🌅 OUR FINAL THOUGHT BEFORE WE GO

As we prepare to return to the Philippines, I cannot tell you exactly how every part of this missionary vision will unfold.

I cannot tell you when every resource will become available.

I cannot promise that every obstacle will disappear.

But I can tell you this.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO DOING OUR BEST FOR THE LORD!

We will continue praying.

We will continue planning.

We will continue working.

We will continue sharing the Gospel.

And we will continue trusting God to touch hearts, open doors, and provide the resources necessary to accomplish His purposes.

We invite you to walk alongside us in whatever way you are able.

Not because you owe us anything.

But because we believe that serving others in the name of Jesus Christ is a privilege worth sharing.

SOME WILL GO. SOME WILL GIVE. SOME WILL PRAY. SOME WILL ENCOURAGE. AND TOGETHER, WE CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Our prayer is that when our earthly work is finished, we will have lived faithfully with what God placed in our hands.

And perhaps that is the greatest answer to our original question.

ARE YOU DOING YOUR BEST FOR THE LORD?

Only you and God know the answer.

And if you believe there is more you can do, today is a wonderful day to begin.

🙏 A PRAYER FOR OUR READERS AND MINISTRY PARTNERS

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for every person reading this message.

You know their hearts, their needs, their abilities, and their limitations.

Help each of us to serve You faithfully with whatever You have entrusted to our care.

Strengthen those who are weary. Encourage those who feel inadequate. Provide for those who are struggling. And remind us that no sincere act of obedience is insignificant in Your sight.

As we return to the Philippines, guide our steps, protect our families, and give us wisdom in every decision.

We place our plans, our vision, and our needs into Your hands.

Touch the hearts of those who can help, strengthen those who are praying, and prepare the way for the work that lies ahead.

Above all, may every soul reached, every family helped, and every life encouraged bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ.

In His precious name we pray.

AMEN!
