A New Week, A New Beginning, A New Opportunity to Trust God!

October 18–25, 2026 | A Week of Faith, Hope, Prayer, and Great Expectations

Good morning, and welcome to a brand-new week!

From all of us at Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International (POMI), we extend our heartfelt greetings, love, and prayers to you and your family as we begin another week together.

Whether you're reading this from the United States, the Philippines, somewhere in Asia, Europe, Africa, or another corner of God's beautiful creation, we want you to know something:

You are not forgotten. You are not alone. And God has not finished writing your story!

The calendar has turned another page. Yesterday is behind us, tomorrow is yet to come, and today is another opportunity to experience the goodness, mercy, grace, and faithfulness of Almighty God.

The question is not what this week will bring. The question is, will you trust the One who already knows what lies ahead?

Great Things Begin With Great Faith!

The Bible reminds us:

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." — Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

Think about that for a moment.

God is not limited by your circumstances, your financial situation, your physical condition, your age, your location, or the obstacles standing in your way.

What seems impossible to you is not impossible to Him!

Perhaps last week was difficult. Maybe you experienced disappointment, discouragement, unanswered prayers, unexpected expenses, or circumstances that tested your faith.

But beloved, last week's struggles do not have to determine this week's victories!

You may not be able to change what happened yesterday, but you can determine where you place your faith today.

And there is no better place to put that faith than in Jesus Christ and what He accomplished for us at the Cross of Calvary.

Whatever This Week Brings, Keep Trusting God

Some of you will begin this week celebrating answered prayers. Others will begin it waiting for answers that have not yet come.

Some will walk into workplaces, classrooms, hospitals, churches, or unfamiliar situations. Others will spend the week caring for loved ones, searching for employment, making difficult decisions, or simply trying to make ends meet.

Wherever you find yourself, remember these five simple truths:

  1. God is already there. Nothing you encounter this week will surprise Him.

  2. God hears your prayers. Even when answers seem delayed, He has not stopped listening.

  3. God's grace is sufficient. You do not have to carry tomorrow's burdens with today's strength.

  4. God's Word remains true. Circumstances change, but His promises remain steadfast.

  5. God is worthy of your trust. Not because everything will happen as you desire, but because He remains faithful through it all.

Proverbs 3:5–6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, acknowledge Him in all our ways, and allow Him to direct our paths.

That is a wonderful way to begin a new week!

Our Prayer for You: October 18–25

Heavenly Father,

As we begin this new week, we come before Your throne of grace with thanksgiving, humility, and expectation.

Thank You for the gift of another day, another opportunity, and another week to serve You.

Father, we lift before You every person reading these words.

For those who are weary, renew their strength.

For those who are sick, we ask for healing and comfort.

For those struggling financially, provide wisdom, opportunity, and the resources they need.

For families experiencing conflict, bring reconciliation, forgiveness, and peace.

For those grieving the loss of loved ones, surround them with Your loving presence.

For those facing decisions, grant them discernment and direction.

For our children and young people, protect their hearts and minds, and guide their footsteps.

For our pastors, missionaries, evangelists, teachers, and Christian workers around the world, strengthen their hands for the work You have called them to do.

And Father, for those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, may this be the week they hear the Gospel, respond in faith, and discover the joy of Salvation.

Help us not merely to ask You for great things, but to trust You when Your answers, timing, and direction differ from our expectations.

Let our words encourage, our actions demonstrate love, and our lives reflect the grace of Jesus Christ.

We commit October 18–25 into Your hands.

Not our will, but Yours be done.

In the mighty and precious Name of Jesus Christ, we pray.

Amen and Amen!

This Week, Be Somebody's Answered Prayer

As you go about your daily responsibilities, remember that someone around you may be facing a battle you know nothing about.

A kind word, an encouraging telephone call, a shared meal, a helping hand, a sincere prayer, or a simple act of compassion could make an extraordinary difference in someone's life.

At POMI, we believe that the Gospel is not something we merely preach. It is something we must also demonstrate through love, compassion, service, and obedience to God's Word.

Whether we are ministering to families in the Philippines, helping children receive an education, sharing Bibles, encouraging struggling communities, or proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, our mission remains unchanged:

Reach one more soul for Christ. Help one more person. Make one more difference.

And you can do the same, right where you are!

A Final Word Before You Begin Your Week

Don't enter this week expecting defeat.

Don't allow yesterday's disappointments to steal today's opportunities.

Don't measure God's faithfulness by how quickly your circumstances change.

Instead, begin this week with a grateful heart, an open Bible, a willingness to pray, and an unwavering confidence in Jesus Christ.

Believe God for great things. Trust Him through difficult things. Praise Him in all things.

And remember the words of Psalm 118:24:

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (KJV)

From our ministry family to yours, may the week of October 18–25 be filled with God's peace, wisdom, protection, and opportunities to share His love.

Our prayers are with you, every step of the way, every single day.

May God richly bless you and your family!

With love and prayers,
