TO EVERY TIRED WORKER: GOD SEES YOU

Tomorrow America observes Labor Day.

But today, I want to speak to the person who is tired.

The mother working and still coming home to care for everyone else.

The father wondering how he will stretch another paycheck.

The teacher pouring into children.

The nurse working another shift.

The military member standing watch.

The first responder answering another call.

The truck driver carrying America's goods through the night.

The farmer, factory worker, cashier, mechanic, caregiver, office worker, construction worker, small-business owner—and the person desperately looking for work.

God sees you.

He sees the alarm clock.

He sees the aching back.

He sees the overtime.

He sees the sacrifices nobody applauds.

He sees you trying to make ends meet when everything seems to cost more.

And He sees the tears you wipe away before anyone notices.

Your worth is not measured by your paycheck, job title, productivity, uniform, position, or bank account.

Your value was established by the God who created you.

So on this Sunday before Labor Day, hear these words:

You matter. Your family matters. Your labor matters. And God has not forgotten you.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
