SOMEBODY READING THIS NEEDS A MIRACLE
If That's You, Stop for a Moment—This Prayer Is for You
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” — Luke 1:37
Some of you reading this post need a miracle.
Not next year.
Not someday.
You need God to intervene in something right now.
For some, it is physical.
For others, spiritual.
For someone else, financial.
Your marriage may be struggling.
Your family may be fractured.
Your mind may be exhausted.
Your heart may be broken.
You may be battling an addiction nobody knows about.
You may be trapped in a cycle you have tried repeatedly to escape.
Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened at all.
YOU'RE JUST STUCK.
You have been in the same rut so long that you have almost accepted it as your permanent address.
If any of that describes you—
THIS PRAYER IS FOR YOU.
“YEAH, RIGHT. I'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE.”
Perhaps that was your first thought.
“I've prayed before.”
“People have prayed for me before.”
“I've been anointed.”
“I've believed.”
“I've cried.”
“I've fasted.”
“I've waited.”
“And nothing happened.”
Join the crowd.
You are not the first Believer who has prayed and then looked around wondering:
“GOD, WHERE IS THE ANSWER?”
You are not the first person who has been prayed for without immediately seeing a physical manifestation of the miracle.
You are not the first person who has wondered whether God heard you.
And you certainly are not the first person who has struggled with disappointment.
But hold on.
Before you conclude that nothing is happening simply because you cannot see anything happening, remember something:
THE INVISIBLE IS NOT THE SAME THING AS THE INACTIVE.
God can be working where your eyes cannot see.
God can be arranging circumstances you know nothing about.
God can be changing hearts.
God can be opening doors.
God can be closing doors.
God can be strengthening you while you are waiting for Him to change your circumstances.
And sometimes God's work begins beneath the surface long before anything becomes visible above it.
WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
There is an old Gospel question that still deserves an answer:
“WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?”
Jesus asked His disciples:
“Where is your faith?” — Luke 8:25
That's a penetrating question.
Not:
“Where are your feelings?”
Not:
“Where is your evidence?”
Not:
“Where are your circumstances?”
WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
Faith looks at an impossible situation and still believes God is able.
Faith doesn't deny reality.
Faith doesn't pretend the doctor's report doesn't exist.
Faith doesn't pretend the bills aren't due.
Faith doesn't pretend the marriage isn't hurting.
Faith doesn't pretend depression, addiction, grief, fear, or pain aren't real.
Faith simply refuses to make those things bigger than God.
Jesus said:
“Have faith in God.” — Mark 11:22
Notice where the faith belongs.
IN GOD.
Not in our ability to believe hard enough.
Not in a preacher.
Not in a prayer cloth.
Not in a formula.
Not in positive thinking.
Not in emotional excitement.
Not in how loudly somebody prays.
HAVE FAITH IN GOD.
FAITH DOESN'T PURCHASE A MIRACLE
We need to make this very clear.
God is not a vending machine.
Faith is not a coin we insert into Heaven to force God to dispense the answer we requested.
Neither should anyone who has prayed without receiving the desired answer automatically conclude:
“I must not have had enough faith.”
That can place a terrible burden upon hurting people.
Faith means trusting God.
And sometimes the greatest expression of faith is not:
“God, I know You are going to do exactly what I asked.”
Sometimes it is:
“GOD, I KNOW YOU CAN—AND I TRUST YOU EVEN IF YOU DON'T.”
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego understood that.
They declared:
“Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us...” — Daniel 3:17
Then they added:
“But if not...” — Daniel 3:18
Think about that.
OUR GOD IS ABLE.
BUT IF NOT—
HE IS STILL GOD.
That is faith.
WHAT IF GOD SAYS NO?
I may as well tell you this before we pray.
Don't become disappointed with God.
Don't get mad at Him.
Don't become bitter.
Don't walk away.
Don't conclude that He doesn't love you.
If you ask God for something and His answer is no, trust Him.
Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh.
God did not remove it.
Instead, God told him:
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Paul didn't receive the answer he originally requested.
He received the grace he needed.
Sometimes God changes the situation.
Sometimes God changes us within the situation.
Sometimes He removes the mountain.
Sometimes He gives us strength to climb it.
Sometimes He opens the door.
Sometimes He keeps it closed because He knows what is waiting on the other side.
GOD HAS A PLAN.
Trust Him.
BUT DON'T LET “GOD'S WILL” BECOME AN EXCUSE FOR UNBELIEF
There is another side to this.
We should not use surrender to God's will as an excuse to pray weak, defeated prayers.
God invites us to ask.
Jesus said:
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” — Matthew 7:7
James tells us:
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16
So we are going to pray.
We are going to ask boldly.
We are going to believe boldly.
We are going to bring sickness, bondage, financial need, family problems, sin, addiction, oppression, fear, violence, and every other burden before God.
Then we are going to trust Him with the answer.
BEFORE WE PRAY
If possible, stop what you're doing for a moment.
You don't need a church building.
You don't need an altar.
You don't need organ music playing in the background.
You don't need a preacher standing beside you.
You simply need to turn your heart toward God.
If you can, say:
“LORD, I NEED YOU.”
That's enough to begin.
Now let's pray.
🙏 A PRAYER FOR HEALING, DELIVERANCE, RESTORATION, AND BREAKTHROUGH
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ.
We acknowledge that You are God.
You are sovereign.
You are holy.
You are merciful.
You are compassionate.
You are our Provider, our Refuge, our Strength, and our Help.
And nothing is impossible with You.
Father, someone reading these words desperately needs You to intervene.
So in the name of Jesus Christ, we bring every burden before You.
LORD, TOUCH THE SICK.
We pray for those battling cancer, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, respiratory illness, neurological disorders, autoimmune diseases, infections, chronic pain, migraines, arthritis, blood disorders, digestive disorders, reproductive illnesses, injuries, disabilities, unexplained symptoms, and diseases doctors have struggled to diagnose.
We pray for those awaiting test results.
Those preparing for surgery.
Those recovering from surgery.
Those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, rehabilitation, dialysis, or long-term treatment.
Those lying in hospital beds.
Those confined to their homes.
Those living with pain that nobody else can see.
Lord, bring healing according to Your will.
Give physicians wisdom.
Guide surgeons' hands.
Give nurses strength and compassion.
Let treatments work as intended.
Provide access to proper medical care.
Bring comfort where there is pain.
Bring strength where there is weakness.
Bring peace where there is fear.
And where You choose to intervene supernaturally—
LORD, LET HEALING COME.
LORD, BREAK THE CHAINS OF BONDAGE
In the authority of Jesus Christ, we stand against every bondage that seeks to enslave human lives.
We rebuke and reject the power of alcohol addiction, drug addiction, pornography, gambling, sexual immorality, compulsive behaviors, destructive gaming, uncontrolled anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, hatred, greed, lying, stealing, manipulation, and every destructive habit that has gained control.
Where there is bondage—
LORD, BRING FREEDOM.
Where there is temptation—
PROVIDE A WAY OF ESCAPE.
Where there has been repeated failure—
GIVE STRENGTH TO RISE AGAIN.
Where professional treatment, counseling, recovery programs, accountability, or medical intervention are needed, give the person courage to seek that help and place trustworthy people around them.
Break destructive cycles.
Expose hidden things.
Remove unhealthy influences.
Strengthen accountability.
Restore self-control.
And let those who have believed themselves permanently trapped discover that through Jesus Christ—
CHAINS CAN STILL BE BROKEN.
LORD, TOUCH TROUBLED MINDS AND BROKEN HEARTS
Father, we pray for those battling depression, anxiety, panic, overwhelming fear, grief, loneliness, hopelessness, emotional exhaustion, confusion, despair, traumatic memories, and oppressive thoughts.
Let light enter dark places.
Let peace interrupt panic.
Let hope enter despair.
Let clarity replace confusion.
Let companionship meet loneliness.
Surround them with people who will listen, care, pray, and help.
And Lord, for anyone who feels that life is no longer worth living or is in danger of harming themselves—
INTERRUPT THAT MOMENT.
Place someone in their path.
Give them courage to speak.
Lead them toward immediate, compassionate help.
Remind them that their life has value and that today's darkness does not have to become tomorrow's destiny.
LORD, ENTER OUR HOMES
We pray for marriages under attack.
Families divided.
Parents and children who no longer speak.
Homes filled with anger.
Homes filled with tension.
Homes where trust has been shattered.
Homes affected by infidelity.
Homes affected by addiction.
Homes struggling financially.
Homes where abuse or violence has entered.
Father, bring conviction where there is sin.
Bring repentance where there has been wrongdoing.
Bring forgiveness where reconciliation is possible.
Bring wisdom where difficult decisions must be made.
And where someone is in danger—
LORD, PROVIDE PROTECTION AND A SAFE WAY OUT.
We rebuke the cycles of domestic violence, intimidation, cruelty, revenge, and generational hatred.
Let them stop here.
LET THE CYCLE END.
LORD, MEET FINANCIAL NEEDS
Father, someone reading this doesn't know how the next bill will be paid.
Rent is due.
The mortgage is due.
Utilities are behind.
Food is running low.
Medical expenses are accumulating.
Debt feels overwhelming.
Employment has disappeared.
A business is struggling.
A family is living paycheck to paycheck.
Lord, provide.
Open legitimate doors of employment.
Provide opportunities.
Give wisdom concerning spending and debt.
Protect people from scams, predatory schemes, and desperate financial decisions.
Send resources.
Give generosity to those who have enough to help those who do not.
Provide daily bread.
And teach us to recognize that every provision ultimately comes from You.
LORD, REBUKE THE DEVICES AND VICES THAT DESTROY
Father, expose every trap designed to steal time, destroy relationships, corrupt minds, and enslave hearts.
Break the attraction to things that repeatedly pull people away from You.
Expose deception.
Expose manipulation.
Expose secret sin.
Expose destructive relationships.
Expose influences that masquerade as harmless while producing spiritual destruction.
Give Your people discernment.
Give parents wisdom.
Give young people courage.
Give adults self-control.
Help us recognize the difference between liberty and bondage.
LORD, FORGIVE OUR SINS
Father, before we ask You to change everything around us, change what needs changing within us.
Forgive pride.
Forgive lust.
Forgive hatred.
Forgive prejudice.
Forgive greed.
Forgive dishonesty.
Forgive gossip.
Forgive unforgiveness.
Forgive rebellion.
Forgive hypocrisy.
Forgive secret sin.
Forgive our neglect of prayer.
Forgive our neglect of Your Word.
Forgive us for wanting Your blessings while resisting Your authority.
Create in us clean hearts.
Renew right spirits within us.
Bring us back to the Cross.
LORD, STOP THE REPETITIVE EVILS
We pray against repeated cycles of violence, abuse, retaliation, murder, gang activity, trafficking, exploitation, terrorism, war, hatred, revenge, and bloodshed.
Protect children.
Protect families.
Protect communities.
Protect the innocent.
Give law-enforcement officers, first responders, leaders, pastors, counselors, teachers, and community workers wisdom and courage.
Bring perpetrators to justice.
Interrupt plans of violence before they are carried out.
Rescue those being exploited.
Expose trafficking networks.
Break cycles that have traveled from one generation to another.
Where hatred says:
“Continue.”
Lord, let mercy say:
“IT STOPS HERE.”
LORD, HELP THE PERSON WHO IS SIMPLY STUCK
And Father, perhaps the person reading this doesn't have a name for what is wrong.
They're simply tired.
Stagnant.
Unmotivated.
Confused.
Going through the motions.
They wake up.
Work.
Eat.
Sleep.
Repeat.
And somewhere along the way, they stopped believing tomorrow could be different.
Lord—
WAKE SOMETHING UP INSIDE THEM.
Restore vision.
Restore purpose.
Restore hope.
Give them one step to take.
Then another.
Then another.
Lead them out of the rut.
Show them that being stuck today does not mean being stuck forever.
AND NOW, FATHER, WE SURRENDER THE ANSWER TO YOU
We have asked.
We have prayed.
We have believed.
Now we trust.
If Your answer is YES—
WE WILL PRAISE YOU.
If Your answer is WAIT—
WE WILL TRUST YOU.
If Your answer is NO—
GIVE US GRACE TO ACCEPT YOUR WISDOM.
And if Your answer comes in a way completely different from what we expected—
GIVE US EYES TO RECOGNIZE YOUR HAND.
We refuse to measure Your goodness solely by whether You give us what we requested.
You were good before we prayed.
You are good while we wait.
And You will still be good whatever the answer.
We place every sickness, every financial burden, every broken relationship, every addiction, every fear, every unanswered question, every oppressive circumstance, every sin, every destructive cycle, and every impossible situation into Your hands.
WE TRUST YOU.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ—
Amen.
NOW—DON'T DIG IT BACK UP
You prayed.
Leave it with God.
That doesn't mean you never pray about it again.
Jesus taught persistence in prayer.
But don't spend the next hour taking back everything you just surrendered.
Don't say:
“God, I trust You,”
and five minutes later decide:
“Nothing is happening.”
Remember:
JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE IT DOESN'T MEAN GOD ISN'T WORKING.
Keep praying.
Keep believing.
Keep obeying.
Take the practical steps God places before you.
Go to the doctor.
Take prescribed medication appropriately.
Attend counseling if needed.
Make the phone call.
Apply for the job.
Ask for help.
Apologize.
Forgive.
Leave the dangerous situation.
Enter recovery.
Talk to your pastor.
Open your Bible.
And keep trusting God.
Faith does not mean refusing appropriate help.
Sometimes the answer to your prayer arrives wearing work clothes.
WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
Perhaps today God will change your circumstances.
Perhaps He will begin a process.
Perhaps He will open a door.
Perhaps He will close one.
Perhaps He will send somebody.
Perhaps He will strengthen you to endure something you desperately wanted removed.
But whatever happens—
HAVE FAITH IN GOD.
Not because God promised to give us everything we ask exactly the way we ask for it.
But because God promised to be God.
And that is enough.
“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” — Mark 9:23
Someone reading this needs a miracle.
Maybe that someone is you.
GOD IS STILL ABLE.
Bring Him your need.
Bring Him your tears.
Bring Him your fear.
Bring Him your broken pieces.
Bring Him your faith—even if right now it feels very small.
Then trust Him with the rest.
PLEASE SHARE THIS PRAYER
Someone on your timeline may be smiling publicly while hurting privately.
Someone may be one prayer away from deciding to try again.
Someone may desperately need to know that another Believer is standing with them.
Share this message.
Send it privately if necessary.
Pray it with someone.
And remind them:
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
GOD HAS NOT CEASED TO BE GOD.
AND JESUS CHRIST IS STILL LORD.
