Nearly 14,000 Visitors—and We Believe We Are Just Getting Started

When Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International launched this blog at joybells49.blogspot.com, our purpose was never simply to create another place on the Internet where people could read articles.

We wanted to create a place of ministry.

A place where someone searching for hope could find encouragement.

A place where someone wrestling with questions about God, faith, salvation, family, the Church, our nation, or the world around us could find something grounded in the Word of God.

A place where the hurting could be reminded that God still sees them.

A place where the believer could be challenged to go deeper.

A place where the unbeliever could encounter the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And a place where the Church could be reminded that our assignment has never changed:

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15

That is the heartbeat behind this blog.

And in only a few short months, something remarkable has happened:

Nearly 14,000 visitors have come through its doors.

We do not look at that number merely as website traffic.

We see people.

We see nearly 14,000 opportunities for a seed to be planted, a question to be answered, a burden to be lifted, a prayer to be prayed, a Christian to be strengthened, or someone who does not yet know Jesus Christ to stop long enough to consider eternity.

WHY DOES THIS BLOG EXIST?

The purpose of the Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International blog is simple:

To take the message beyond the walls.

Not everyone will walk through the doors of a church.

Not everyone will attend a revival.

Not everyone will sit in a Bible study.

Some people may never speak personally with a pastor or missionary.

But they may pick up their phone at two o'clock in the morning.

They may sit alone at a kitchen table searching for answers.

They may be riding a train in Europe, sitting in a home in the Philippines, taking a lunch break somewhere in America, or reading from a country we have never visited.

And somehow, through technology, the Gospel can meet them there.

That is why we do this.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to inform, encourage, challenge, teach, warn, inspire, and ultimately point people toward Jesus Christ.

That means we are not afraid to discuss difficult subjects.

We talk about salvation.

Prayer.

Faith.

Repentance.

Holiness.

Family.

Marriage.

Parenting.

Church.

Discipleship.

Prophecy.

Government.

Culture.

Human suffering.

Poverty.

Natural disasters.

The Philippines and Asia.

America.

The condition of our world.

And sometimes we address uncomfortable questions that many people are thinking but few are willing to ask publicly.

Why?

Because ministry cannot exist only inside comfortable conversations.

The Gospel speaks to the whole person living in the real world.

OUR INTENT

Our intent is not to tell readers what they want to hear.

It is to give them something worth hearing.

There is already enough noise online.

Enough arguing.

Enough anger.

Enough sensationalism.

Enough division.

Enough information designed merely to attract a click, provoke an emotional response, or keep someone scrolling.

We want this blog to be different.

We want readers to leave with something they did not have when they arrived:

Hope.
Knowledge.
Understanding.
Conviction.
Encouragement.
Perspective.
Faith.
And, above everything else, a clearer view of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes a post will encourage you.

Sometimes it may make you smile.

Sometimes it will make you think.

Sometimes it may make you uncomfortable.

Sometimes it may cause you to open your Bible.

Sometimes it may cause you to pray.

And occasionally, we hope something written here will cause someone to stop and ask the most important question of all:

“Where do I stand with God?”

If that happens, this blog has accomplished far more than accumulating another page view.

THE “CALLING” OF THIS BLOG

We believe this blog has a calling.

It is an extension of the missionary field.

Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International has ministered across nations and continues carrying the Gospel and compassionate outreach into the Philippines and throughout Asia. But the Internet has given us another mission field—one without geographical borders.

Our feet cannot physically stand in every nation at the same time.

Our voices cannot personally reach every city.

Our hands cannot knock on every door.

But the message can travel where we cannot.

A blog post can cross an ocean in seconds.

A testimony can reach another continent before we know someone has read it.

A Scripture posted today may be discovered months or years from now by someone desperately needing that exact Word at that exact moment.

That is why we take this seriously.

This is not simply content creation.

This is digital evangelism.

This is outreach.

This is planting seed.

This is taking what God has placed in our hands and sending it as far as technology will carry it.

NEARLY 14,000 VISITORS REPRESENT SOMETHING BIGGER

We are grateful—deeply grateful—that nearly 14,000 visitors have found their way to this blog in only a few short months.

But numbers alone are not our mission.

If 14,000 visit and nobody encounters Christ, we have accomplished very little.

If 100 visit and one person gives his or her heart to Jesus Christ, Heaven has something to rejoice about.

That is how we measure success.

Behind every number is a person.

Behind every person is a story.

Behind every story is a soul.

And every soul matters to God.
