An Invitation to Pray, Believe, Give, and Stand With Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International in the Philippines
There are moments when simply knowing that a need exists is not enough.
There comes a time when we must ask ourselves:
“What can I do?”
Today, I want to invite you into the work of Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International in the Philippines and throughout Asia.
Not merely as someone reading about what we're doing.
Not merely as someone scrolling past another ministry post.
But as a partner in prayer, faith, and action.
There are people we want to reach.
Families we want to help.
Children we want to encourage.
Communities we want to serve.
And above everything else, there are souls who desperately need to hear the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our message is simple:
PLEASE HELP US HELP THEM.
🌎 WHO IS PILGRIM OUTREACH MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL?
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International—POMI—is a full-gospel, interdenominational Christian ministry committed to carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the four walls of the church.
Our calling is reflected in our ministry tagline:
YOUR FEET TO THE NATIONS
We desire to go where others may not be able to go.
We want to see what others may never personally see.
We want to hear the cries that others may never hear.
We want to speak the Gospel where others may never have the opportunity to speak.
And we want to put our feet on the ground and minister to people where they are.
That's why we often say:
“We are your eyes, ears, mouths, and feet in Asia.”
Our ministry isn't about building a name.
It isn't about creating an organization for the sake of having an organization.
It is about people.
And ultimately, it is about souls.
❤️ OUR VISION CAN BE SUMMED UP IN THREE WORDS
ONE MORE SOUL.
One more child.
One more teenager.
One more mother.
One more father.
One more family.
One more village.
One more person who has never clearly heard that Jesus Christ loves them.
One more person discovering that there is forgiveness at the Cross.
One more person hearing:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son...” — John 3:16
One more.
And then, by God's grace—
one more after that.
🇵🇭 WHY THE PHILIPPINES?
The Philippines is more than another place on a ministry map for Cecilia and me.
It is personal.
It is part of our missionary calling.
Years ago, in 2011, I felt the Lord impress upon my heart that we were to go to the Philippines and preach the Gospel there also.
At the time, I didn't know exactly how it would happen.
I didn't know when.
I didn't know what the ministry would eventually look like.
But I knew this:
When God speaks, our responsibility is to obey.
Today, that calling continues to unfold.
Our desire is not simply to visit the Philippines.
We are going to serve.
We are going to preach.
We are going to teach.
We are going to help.
We are going to encourage.
We are going to disciple.
We are going to love people.
And wherever God opens the door, we are going to tell someone about Jesus Christ.
👐 MINISTERING TO THE WHOLE PERSON
We believe Christian ministry must never lose sight of the soul.
But we also cannot ignore the person standing in front of us.
James wrote:
“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled... what doth it profit?” — James 2:15–16
Sometimes someone needs a Bible.
Sometimes someone needs food.
Sometimes someone needs medicine.
Sometimes a child needs help continuing their education.
Sometimes a family needs practical assistance.
Sometimes a person simply needs somebody to sit beside them, listen to them, pray with them, and remind them that God has not forgotten them.
Our desire is to minister to the whole person—mind, body, soul, and spirit.
🏗️ WHAT DOES POMI HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH?
Our vision for ministry in the Philippines is broad because the needs are broad.
Our outreach efforts and long-term vision include:
Church planting and establishing places of worship where people can hear the Gospel, grow in Christ, pray together, worship, fellowship, and be discipled.
Evangelism and Gospel outreaches in communities, villages, homes, churches, and wherever God opens a door.
Bible teaching and discipleship so that people aren't merely introduced to Jesus but are helped to grow in their relationship with Him.
Youth ministry and mentoring to reach children, teenagers, and young adults during some of the most formative years of their lives.
Educational assistance and student sponsorship to help young people pursue opportunities that poverty might otherwise place beyond their reach.
Food and emergency assistance for families facing hardship, disasters, unemployment, flooding, typhoons, and other unexpected crises.
Mobile medical and dental outreach as resources become available, bringing practical care into communities where people may have difficulty obtaining it.
Supporting schools and orphanages where opportunities arise to help children and young people.
Tent revivals and evangelistic meetings that carry the Gospel directly into communities.
Family assistance and practical outreach, including helping people facing difficult living conditions.
And throughout all of it:
JESUS CHRIST MUST REMAIN AT THE CENTER.
If we feed someone but never tell them about Jesus, we haven't completed the mission.
If we educate someone but never introduce them to Christ, something is missing.
If we repair a house but never tell the family about the One who can transform their eternal home, we have stopped short.
Our practical ministry opens doors.
The Gospel remains the reason we walk through them.
🏠 BUILDING FOR THE WORK AHEAD
Part of our continuing vision includes establishing the Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International home church and ministry headquarters in the Philippines.
This will give us a base from which ministry can grow.
A place for worship.
A place for prayer.
A place for discipleship.
A place for planning outreach.
A place for training.
A place from which we can go outward into surrounding communities.
We are also looking toward the infrastructure necessary to sustain ministry operations, including practical necessities such as reliable power and freshwater resources.
These aren't glamorous ministry expenses.
But they are necessary.
Because ministry on the ground requires more than vision.
It requires resources.
💰 WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
This is important.
When you give to Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International, you aren't financing a lavish lifestyle.
We do not take personal funds from ministry donations.
Our desire is for ministry resources to support ministry work.
In addition, 100% of the royalties from our books support our missionary and outreach efforts.
That means when someone purchases one of our books, they aren't merely purchasing something to read.
They are helping us continue the work.
We want every dollar entrusted to this ministry treated as something sacred.
Because behind that dollar may eventually be:
A Bible.
A meal.
School assistance.
Transportation to an outreach.
Building materials.
Medical assistance.
Evangelistic materials.
Discipleship resources.
Emergency relief.
Or simply the means to place us in front of one more person who needs Jesus.
🙏 WE ARE ASKING YOU FOR THREE THINGS
There are three ways almost everyone reading this can stand with us.
1. PLEASE PRAY FOR US
Never underestimate this request.
We need your prayers.
Pray for Cecilia and me.
Pray for our ministry leadership and workers.
Pray for wisdom.
Pray for protection.
Pray for our health and strength.
Pray for safe travel.
Pray for the communities we serve.
Pray for the children and families.
Pray for open doors.
Pray for favor.
Pray for resources.
Pray for discernment.
Pray against discouragement.
Pray that every dollar is used wisely.
Pray that God sends the right people alongside us.
And above everything else:
Pray for souls to be saved.
Paul wrote:
“Brethren, pray for us.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:25
Those four words mean more to missionaries than many people realize.
Please pray for us.
🤝 2. PLEASE EXTEND YOUR FAITH OF AGREEMENT TO US
There are times when you need someone standing beside you saying:
“I'm believing God with you.”
Jesus said:
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask...” — Matthew 18:19
We're asking you to stand with us in faith.
Believe with us for open doors.
Believe with us for provision.
Believe with us for the ministry facilities.
Believe with us for transportation and outreach resources.
Believe with us for children to be helped.
Believe with us for families to be strengthened.
Believe with us for communities to be reached.
Believe with us that God can take what appears insufficient and multiply it.
Believe with us for:
ONE MORE SOUL.
We aren't asking you to place your faith in POMI.
Our faith is in God.
But we're asking you to join your faith with ours as we seek Him for the work He has called us to accomplish.
❤️ 3. PLEASE GIVE FINANCIALLY AS YOU CAN
And finally, we need financial partners.
I understand that everyone cannot give the same amount.
Some may be able to give substantially.
Others may have only a few dollars.
No gift is too small.
Never apologize for giving what you genuinely have to give.
Jesus once watched people placing money into the treasury.
Some gave much.
Then a poor widow gave two mites.
Jesus noticed her.
“For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had...” — Mark 12:44
God sees more than the number.
God sees the heart.
A $5 gift given in love matters.
A $10 gift matters.
A $25 gift matters.
A $50 gift matters.
A $100 gift matters.
A larger gift matters.
A recurring monthly gift matters.
And even if you truly cannot give financially today—
your prayer matters.
Your share matters.
Your encouragement matters.
Your faith matters.

🌱 NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL WHEN GOD IS IN IT
Do you remember the little boy with five barley loaves and two small fishes?
In human hands, it wasn't enough.
But he placed what he had into the hands of Jesus.
And Jesus fed thousands.
See John 6:1–13.
The question wasn't:
“Is what I have enough to meet the entire need?”
It wasn't.
The real question was:
“Am I willing to place what I have into the Master's hands?”
That's all we're asking.
Don't look at the size of the need and conclude that your contribution doesn't matter.
Don't say:
“What difference could my $10 possibly make?”
You may never know.
Your gift combined with someone else's gift, combined with another person's prayer, combined with another person's share, combined with another person's obedience may become the answer to a need halfway around the world.
Little becomes much when God is in it.
🇵🇭 THERE IS A PERSON ON THE OTHER SIDE OF YOUR GIFT
Please remember that.
This isn't merely about numbers on a fundraising page.
There are people on the other side.
Children.
Parents.
Students.
Families.
Churches.
Communities.
People going through hardships that many of us may never personally experience.
And somewhere among them may be a person who doesn't yet know Jesus Christ.
Someone who needs to hear:
God loves you.
Jesus died for you.
There is forgiveness.
There is hope.
There is salvation.
There is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
That's why we go.
That's why we pray.
That's why we ask.

That's okay.

Protect us.
Guide us.
Strengthen us.
Provide for us.
Give us wisdom.
Send laborers.
Send partners.
Send intercessors.
Send encouragers.
And provide every resource necessary to accomplish Your will.
Father, bless those who pray.
Bless those who stand with us in faith.
Bless those who share.
And bless every giver.
Whether their gift is large or small, receive it as an expression of love and obedience, and help us steward it faithfully.
And Lord, when everything is said and done, let the testimony never be about us.
Let it be about Jesus.
Let somebody be saved.
Let somebody be restored.
Let somebody discover hope.
Let somebody's life be changed.
And please, Lord—
HELP US REACH ONE MORE SOUL.
In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
