❤️ EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY
This Giving Tuesday, We Need You to Help Us Reach the Forgotten
There is an old truth that becomes more meaningful the longer you live:
EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY.
The wealthy need somebody.
The poor need somebody.
The healthy need somebody.
The sick need somebody.
The child needs somebody.
The elderly need somebody.
And somewhere today, there is a person who has almost convinced themselves that nobody sees them, nobody hears them, and nobody cares.
On this Giving Tuesday, Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International wants to tell them:
WE SEE YOU.
GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU.
And to everyone reading this, we are asking:
WILL YOU HELP US REACH THEM?
🌎 THERE IS ANOTHER WORLD BEYOND WHAT MANY OF US SEE
I have traveled and ministered in different parts of the world, and there are things you cannot easily forget once you've seen them.
Sickness.
Poverty.
Disease.
Hunger.
Children without what they need.
Families struggling simply to survive.
Death and dying.
You cannot repeatedly look into the eyes of hurting people and remain unaffected.
At least, I can't.
I have seen too much to simply turn around, walk away, and pretend it isn't happening.
And I cannot solve all of it.
Neither can you.
But that's not an excuse for doing nothing.
✈️ THE WORLD TOURISTS SEE ISN'T ALWAYS THE WORLD PEOPLE LIVE IN
Many Americans have never traveled outside the United States.
And among those who have, many understandably see the places designed for visitors:
The resorts.
The hotels.
The restaurants.
The beaches.
The shopping districts.
The tourist attractions.
Those places are real.
But so is another world.
Drive far enough away from the postcard.
Turn down another road.
Walk into another neighborhood.
Leave the tourist district behind.
And you may encounter families living under circumstances most visitors never see.
THAT'S WHERE MINISTRY MUST BE WILLING TO GO.
🛤️ INTO THE HIGHWAYS AND HEDGES
Jesus gave a powerful picture in Luke 14:23:
“Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
The Gospel was never intended to remain inside comfortable buildings.
There are people beyond our church walls.
Beyond our familiar neighborhoods.
Beyond our social circles.
Beyond the places where everybody else wants to go.
People society walks past.
People whose names may never make the news.
People who cannot repay us.
People who may never be able to become financial supporters of this ministry.
THEY MATTER ANYWAY.
Why?
Because their value isn't determined by the money in their pockets.
Their value isn't determined by their address.
Their value isn't determined by their education.
Their value isn't determined by whether society considers them important.
JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR THEM TOO.
🇵🇭 THIS IS WHY WE GO
Our next phase of missionary work in the Philippines and Asia begins in October 2026.
We're not going simply to take pictures.
We're not going to be tourists.
We're going because there is work to do.
We want to go where people hurt.
Where families struggle.
Where children need help.
Where communities have experienced hardship.
Where someone needs food.
Where someone needs clothing.
Where somebody needs encouragement.
Where somebody needs prayer.
And above everything else—
WHERE SOMEBODY NEEDS TO HEAR ABOUT JESUS CHRIST.
Our desire is to minister to the whole person—mind, body, soul, and spirit.
🍚 SOMETIMES THE SERMON LOOKS LIKE A BAG OF FOOD
There is a time to preach.
There is a time to teach.
There is a time to open the Bible and explain the Gospel.
But sometimes, before someone can hear what you're saying, they need to know that you actually care.
James wrote:
“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled... what doth it profit?” — James 2:15–16
Those words should challenge every one of us.
Imagine telling a hungry child:
“God bless you.”
Then walking away while carrying the ability to help.
Sometimes love needs hands.
Sometimes compassion needs feet.
Sometimes prayer needs to be followed by action.
Sometimes the sermon is:
🍚 A meal.
👕 Clothing.
📚 School assistance.
🏠 Help for a struggling family.
📖 A Bible.
🙏 Someone willing to pray.
❤️ Someone willing to listen.
And then, when the opportunity comes—
WE TELL THEM WHY WE CAME.
JESUS LOVES YOU.
💔 I HAVE SEEN TOO MUCH TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY
There comes a point when compassion becomes uncomfortable.
Because compassion asks:
“Now that you know—what are you going to do?”
I've seen too much sickness.
Too much poverty.
Too much disease.
Too much suffering.
Too much death and dying.
Too many people living with needs that most of us take for granted.
I cannot fix the world.
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International cannot fix the world.
But perhaps we can change somebody's world.
One family.
One child.
One student.
One village.
One hungry person.
One hurting soul.
ONE SOUL AT A TIME.
That's how ministry works.
❤️ AND THAT BRINGS ME TO YOU
On this Giving Tuesday—
WE NEED YOU.
I don't say that lightly.
Everybody needs somebody.
And ministries do too.
Missionaries cannot go without people who help send them.
Outreach cannot continue without people who pray.
Needs cannot be met without people willing to give.
The Gospel itself costs nothing.
BUT TAKING IT AROUND THE WORLD DOES.
Transportation costs money.
Food costs money.
Bibles cost money.
School assistance costs money.
Clothing costs money.
Humanitarian supplies cost money.
Ministry projects cost money.
And every dollar represents an opportunity to reach another person.
🙏 “PASTOR, I DON’T HAVE MUCH.”
Neither did the widow Jesus watched place two mites into the treasury.
Her gift wasn't impressive by human standards.
But Jesus noticed it.
Please understand something about our appeal:
WE ARE NOT ASKING ANYONE TO NEGLECT THEIR OWN FAMILY.
We aren't asking you to give money you don't have.
We aren't trying to pressure anybody.
Giving should come from the heart.
Paul wrote:
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Maybe you can give $100.
Maybe $50.
Maybe $20.
Maybe $10.
Maybe $5.
Maybe right now you cannot give anything financially.
Then give us something else we desperately need:
YOUR PRAYERS.
And perhaps your voice.
Share this message.
Tell somebody about the ministry.
Send the post to a friend.
Introduce someone to what we're doing.
You never know who God may touch through something as simple as clicking Share.
🌎 YOU MAY NEVER MEET THE PERSON YOU HELP
That's one of the beautiful things about giving.
Somewhere in the Philippines, there may be a child whose name you never learn.
A mother whose hand you never shake.
A father whose story you never hear.
A family whose home you never enter.
A student you never meet.
Someone who receives food you helped provide.
Someone who receives a Bible you helped place into their hands.
Someone who hears the Gospel because you helped us get there.
You may never meet them on this side of eternity.
BUT GOD KNOWS THEIR NAME.
And God knows yours.
🔥 WE GO WHERE THE NEED IS
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International isn't interested only in the easy places.
Our calling compels us toward the people others may overlook.
The highways.
The hedges.
The poor.
The struggling.
The forgotten.
The child.
The widow.
The elderly.
The family trying to make it through another week.
The person who has almost given up.
And when we arrive, we don't want merely to say:
“We'll pray for you.”
We want to pray—
AND THEN ASK, “HOW CAN WE HELP?”
That is the kind of ministry we believe Jesus demonstrated.
He preached.
He taught.
He healed.
He fed.
He touched.
He listened.
He saw people others ignored.
And ultimately, He gave Himself.
🤲 GIVING TUESDAY: WILL YOU HELP US?
So today I'm not asking you to solve poverty.
I'm not asking you to feed an entire nation.
I'm not asking you to carry the whole burden.
I'm asking you to help us carry a piece of it.
PRAY.
GIVE.
SHARE.
PARTNER.
And together, perhaps we can reach one more.
Then another.
Then another.
Until hundreds of people have been touched because ordinary people decided:
“I CAN DO SOMETHING.”
🙏 LET US PRAY
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every person reading these words.
Thank You for every person who has prayed for this ministry, encouraged us, shared our work, purchased a book, given financially, or helped us reach another person.
Lord, today we remember those whom much of the world never sees.
The hungry.
The sick.
The poor.
The lonely.
The forgotten.
The struggling family.
The child without enough.
The elderly person who feels abandoned.
The person living beyond the tourist districts, beyond the comfortable neighborhoods, beyond the places most people ever visit.
Father, remind them that You see them.
Give us the strength, resources, wisdom, compassion, and opportunity to reach as many as You place before us.
Bless those who give.
Bless those who cannot give financially but faithfully pray.
Bless those who share this appeal.
Bless those who partner with us.
And keep our hearts humble.
Never allow this ministry to become about buildings, numbers, recognition, or ourselves.
KEEP IT ABOUT PEOPLE.
Keep it about the Gospel.
Keep it about Jesus.
And help us continue reaching—
ONE SOUL AT A TIME.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Maybe today somebody needs you.
Your prayer.
Your compassion.
Your generosity.
Your willingness to share.
Your decision to care.
You may never walk into the communities where we minister.
You may never personally hand someone the food.
You may never place the Bible into their hands.
You may never hear their story.
BUT YOU CAN HELP US GO.
And when we go—
we take your prayers with us.
We take your compassion with us.
We take your generosity with us.
And together—
WE GO INTO THE HIGHWAYS AND HEDGES.
WE REACH FOR THE FORGOTTEN.
WE MINISTER TO THE WHOLE PERSON.
AND WE TELL THEM ABOUT JESUS CHRIST.
