🚨 STOP SCROLLING: IF JESUS CAME TODAY, WOULD YOU BE READY?
You Checked Your Phone. You Checked Your Schedule. Have You Checked Your Soul?
It's noon.
Half the day is already gone.
You've probably checked your phone, your messages, your email, the news, your bank account, your appointments—or your social media.
But let me ask you something considerably more important:
HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR SOUL?
We live as though tomorrow has already been deposited into our account.
It hasn't.
We schedule next week. Plan next month. Prepare for next year. Buy things we'll pay for later. Make promises about what we'll eventually do.
And somewhere in all that planning, eternity gets pushed to the bottom of the list.
“I'll get serious about God later.”
“Someday I'll go back to church.”
“Someday I'll pray.”
“Someday I'll straighten things out.”
“Someday I'll accept Christ.”
But there is one enormous problem with someday:
SOMEDAY ISN'T ON ANY CALENDAR.
Jesus said:
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” — Matthew 24:44
Notice the word:
READY.
Not getting ready.
Not planning to get ready.
Not thinking about getting ready.
Ready.
⏰ WHAT IF TODAY WERE THE DAY?
What if the appointment you have been postponing with God suddenly became the only appointment that mattered?
What if all the things consuming your attention this afternoon became irrelevant in a moment?
The argument.
The promotion.
The political fight.
The money.
The followers.
The possessions.
The grudge.
The popularity.
The things we spend enormous amounts of energy worrying about.
One encounter with eternity would rearrange the entire list.
Jesus asked:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36
That's not merely a verse for unbelievers.
That's a question worth asking every one of us.
⚠️ WE HAVE BECOME VERY GOOD AT PREPARING FOR EVERYTHING EXCEPT ETERNITY
We prepare for retirement.
Emergencies.
Vacations.
College.
Storms.
Birthdays.
Weddings.
Careers.
Investments.
We insure our houses.
Insure our automobiles.
Insure our health.
Insure our lives.
But what preparation have we made for the one destination every human being will eventually face?
ETERNITY.
The Bible says:
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
Death isn't pleasant to discuss.
But refusing to discuss something doesn't make it disappear.
And the Gospel isn't intended to frighten people into religion.
IT IS GOD'S INVITATION TO LIFE.
✝️ JESUS HAS ALREADY MADE THE WAY
Here is the good news.
You don't have to clean yourself up first.
You don't have to become religious enough.
You don't have to undo your entire past.
Jesus Christ has already done what you could never do for yourself.
He died.
He was buried.
He rose again.
And salvation is offered through Him.
📖 Romans 10:9 tells us:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Maybe you've been running from God.
Come home.
Maybe you've drifted.
Come back.
Maybe you've never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ.
TODAY CAN BE YOUR DAY.
🔥 IT'S NOON. STOP FOR SIXTY SECONDS.
Before you continue scrolling...
Before lunch ends...
Before you return to work...
Before the afternoon gets busy...
Ask yourself:
If Jesus Christ came today, would I be ready?
Not my spouse.
Not my pastor.
Not my parents.
Not my friends.
ME.
And if your answer is:
“I don't know.”
Then don't ignore that uncertainty.
Talk to God right now.
🙏 LORD, MAKE ME READY
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me. Save me. Come into my life and become my Lord and Saviour. Help me turn from my old way of living and follow You. I place my faith and eternity into Your hands. In Jesus' name, Amen.
If you sincerely called upon Jesus Christ in faith, don't make this the end of something.
MAKE IT THE BEGINNING.
Find a Bible-centered, Christ-centered church.
Begin reading God's Word.
Pray.
Grow.
Tell someone about the decision you've made.
And start walking with Jesus.
🚨 ONE LAST QUESTION BEFORE YOU KEEP SCROLLING
You have checked everything else today.
Your messages.
Your schedule.
Your notifications.
Your responsibilities.
Perhaps even your investments.
HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR SOUL?
Because the most important question you'll answer today may have nothing to do with what happens this afternoon.
IF JESUS CAME TODAY—WOULD YOU BE READY?
Don't wait for someday.
BE READY TODAY.
