There are ministries with enormous buildings, large staffs, substantial budgets, and resources stretching farther than the eye can see.
Then there are ministries that simply hear God say—
“GO.”
—and begin walking.
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International is one of those ministries.
We don't claim to have everything.
We don't claim to have arrived.
We don't pretend missionary work is easy.
But there is something we know beyond question:
GOD CALLED US TO GO.
So we go.
We preach.
We teach.
We pray.
We feed.
We encourage.
We disciple.
We help.
We build.
We reach.
And when we've reached one person—
WE START LOOKING FOR ONE MORE.
✝️ WHO ARE WE?
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International is a full-Gospel, interdenominational Christian ministry committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
Our ministry isn't confined to the four walls of a church.
We believe the Gospel belongs in the highways and byways.
It belongs in communities.
It belongs in homes.
It belongs among the poor.
It belongs among children and young people.
It belongs among families struggling to survive.
It belongs among people recovering from disaster.
It belongs wherever someone needs to hear:
“JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU, AND YOU HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN.”
Our ministry has carried us across nations and continents. After approximately two decades of ministry associated with Italy, God opened another extraordinary chapter of our journey in the Philippines and Asia.
Today, much of our missionary vision is focused there.
Thousands of miles from the United States.
Far from what is familiar.
But exactly where we believe God has called us to be.
That's why our ministry's words mean so much to us:

👨💼 WHO IS OUR SENIOR PASTOR?
Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International was founded and is led by Senior Pastor James Langston.
His journey of service began long before the ministry reached the Philippines.
He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour as a young teenager and later spent 27 years serving in the United States Navy, retiring in 2003.
But military retirement wasn't the end of service.
It simply represented another turn in the road.
God had another mission.
Pastor Langston has served as pastor, missionary, teacher, evangelist, author, mentor, and Christian writer. His ministry journey has stretched across decades and continents, with one central purpose remaining unchanged:
TELL SOMEBODY ABOUT JESUS.
Alongside his wife, Cecilia, he has continued following the missionary calling God placed upon their lives.
There have been obstacles.
There have been unanswered questions.
There have been financial challenges.
There have been moments of weariness.
But the answer remains:
“HERE AM I; SEND ME.” — ISAIAH 6:8
🇵🇭 WHY THE PHILIPPINES?
Because God said go.
Sometimes the simplest answer is the truest one.
When God first began dealing with us concerning the Philippines, we didn't possess everything necessary to accomplish the vision.
We didn't have all the money.
We didn't know every person we would need.
We couldn't answer every logistical question.
We couldn't see the entire road.
But faith doesn't require seeing the entire road.
FAITH REQUIRES TRUSTING THE ONE WHO DOES.
What began as a call has grown into a much larger missionary vision for the Philippines and, as God opens doors, throughout Asia.
We believe this is bigger than one pastor.
Bigger than one family.
Bigger than one church.
And certainly bigger than our present resources.
THAT'S WHY WE NEED PARTNERS.
🤲 WHAT DO WE DO?
Our philosophy of ministry is simple:
MINISTER TO THE WHOLE PERSON—MIND, BODY, SOUL, AND SPIRIT.
Someone may need the Gospel.
Preach Jesus.
Someone may be hungry.
Feed them.
Someone may need encouragement.
Sit down and listen.
Someone needs prayer.
Pray.
A student may need assistance continuing school.
Help if possible.
A family may be suffering after flooding, a typhoon, or another disaster.
Respond.
A believer may need discipleship.
Teach the Word.
A community may need a church.
Plant.
We don't believe helping someone's physical needs somehow competes with preaching the Gospel.
Jesus ministered to people.
SO SHOULD WE.
🌾 OUR OUTREACHES
Our missionary vision includes an expanding range of ministries designed to reach people where they actually live.
That includes evangelism and Gospel outreach, church planting, Bible teaching and discipleship, food assistance and feeding outreaches, educational and student sponsorship, assistance with school needs and uniforms, youth ministry and mentoring, humanitarian assistance, disaster and emergency relief, prayer ministry, community outreach, and practical assistance to struggling individuals and families.
Our broader vision also includes mobile medical and dental outreach, adopting and assisting schools and orphanages, tent revivals and evangelistic meetings, and facilities dedicated to reaching and discipling young people.
It's an enormous vision.
AND WE KNOW IT.
But we serve an enormous God.
🎓 INVESTING IN CHILDREN
One of the most important investments anyone can make is in a child.
Education can change the direction of a young person's life.
But in communities where families struggle simply to meet daily necessities, school expenses can become another mountain they cannot easily climb.
That's why helping students matters to us.
A uniform may seem small to somebody else.
School supplies may seem ordinary.
Educational assistance may not make international headlines.
But to the student receiving them—
THEY CAN REPRESENT OPPORTUNITY.
We aren't merely interested in helping young people survive childhood.
We want them to know Jesus Christ, receive an education, discover purpose, and realize their present circumstances don't have to dictate their entire future.
🍚 SOMETIMES MINISTRY LOOKS LIKE FOOD
We preach Jesus Christ without apology.
But sometimes the person you're preaching to hasn't eaten.
There are moments when theology needs hands.
Moments when compassion needs feet.
Moments when saying “God loves you” should be accompanied by something tangible demonstrating that love.
James asked:
“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace... notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?” — James 2:15–16
Sometimes missionary work looks like a pulpit.
Sometimes—
IT LOOKS LIKE A BAG OF GROCERIES.
Both can become opportunities to show somebody Jesus.
🌧️ WHEN DISASTER COMES
Living and ministering in the Philippines also means understanding the realities of typhoons, torrential rainfall, flooding, landslides, earthquakes, volcanic activity, damaged roads, disrupted transportation, and communities suddenly facing emergency needs.
Disaster doesn't schedule an appointment.
It arrives.
And when it does, ministry has to be prepared to respond.
We want Pilgrim Outreach Ministries International positioned so that when someone needs help, our first response doesn't have to be:
“We wish we could.”
We want to be able to say:
“LET'S GO.”
That requires preparation.
It requires people.
It requires transportation.
And yes—
IT REQUIRES FINANCIAL RESOURCES.
🏗️ OUR BUILDING PROGRAM: BUILDING MORE THAN BUILDINGS
Our vision for the Philippines cannot remain temporary forever.
As the ministry grows, we need the infrastructure necessary to support what God has called us to do.
Our building program represents a significant part of that future.
But understand something:
WE AREN'T BUILDING JUST TO SAY WE BUILT SOMETHING.
Buildings are tools.
A church building becomes a place where the Gospel is preached.
A classroom becomes a place where someone learns.
A youth facility becomes a place where a young person can be discipled instead of swallowed by the streets.
A ministry headquarters becomes a base from which missionaries and outreaches can operate.
Facilities for humanitarian ministry become places where resources can be stored, organized, and distributed.
Medical and dental outreach resources can bring desperately needed care closer to people who need it.
Our long-range vision includes establishing the ministry infrastructure necessary to support our Gospel, educational, humanitarian, youth, medical, disaster-relief, and church-planting efforts.
WE ARE BUILDING FOR PEOPLE.
Every wall should eventually serve somebody.
Every room should have a purpose.
Every dollar invested should help position the ministry to reach farther.
And every facility should ultimately point toward—
JESUS CHRIST.

Not everyone can come to the Philippines.
We understand that.
Some of you will never walk the roads we walk.

You'll never personally meet many of the people we serve.

So we place it back into Your hands.
Provide the workers.
Provide the buildings.
Provide the transportation.
Provide the equipment.
Provide the finances.
Provide the partners.
Open the doors.
Protect those who go.
Bless those who pray.
Bless those who give.
And keep our hearts centered upon Jesus Christ.
Never allow buildings to become more important than people.
Never allow programs to become more important than souls.
Never allow fundraising to become more important than faith.
And never allow us to forget why You told us to go.
