✨ So Close… Yet So Far Away
I still remember the first person I ever shared the Gospel with.
I had only been saved a few months when he came up to me smiling and half-laughing.
“Is it true what I heard about you?”
I said, “What did you hear?”
He said, “You got Saved.”
I told him, “Yes, Dwight, it’s true. And Heaven is my next stop after I leave this earth. What about you — are you ready to give your life to Jesus?”
He laughed and said that wasn’t for him.
Life moved on. We lost touch. I never found out if he ever surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. I hope he did. Because it would be a heartbreaking thing to stand so close to eternity… and still walk away.
And that question echoes forward to today.
What about you?
Can you trace the moment you said yes to the call of Jesus Christ?
If you can — I rejoice with you.
If you cannot — the door is still open. Right now. This moment. Salvation is never locked behind yesterday.
If your heart is ready, pray this with sincerity:
🙏 Prayer of Salvation
Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins and rose again so I could have eternal life. Today I turn from my old life and place my trust in You alone. Come into my heart. Forgive me. Change me. Be my Lord and my Savior from this day forward.
I give my life to You.
Amen.
Congratulations. You’ve found the answer.
You’ve found the Lord.
If you prayed that prayer, we would love to hear your testimony:
