📌 When Life Feels Like Three Steps Back — Finding Order in Financial Chaos
Life is hard.
And sometimes it feels like no matter how many steps you manage to take forward…
you’re pushed three steps backward.
For most people, the three biggest stressors they face every single day are:
⏳ Time
💵 Money
❓ The “What If” Syndrome
And of the three, the one people ask me about the most is money.
Not the math.
Not the bills.
Not even the budgeting.
But the deeper questions that keep people awake at night:
“Why do I never seem to have enough?”
“Why am I always broke?”
“When will this cycle ever end?”
Let me be clear — I’m not a financial advisor.
But I am someone who has lived long enough, prayed long enough, and failed enough to learn the biblical practices that finally put my finances, my heart, and my life in order.
And if these truths helped me, they can help you too.
1️⃣ Do you know how you got where you are?
Before God can heal, He reveals.
Before He corrects, He confronts.
Be honest with yourself:
Was it overspending?
Lack of discipline?
Poor stewardship?
Ignoring biblical principles?
Or simply life hitting harder than you expected?
Whatever it was—naming it is the first step toward freedom.
2️⃣ If disobedience played a part, have you asked God for forgiveness?
Many people want financial breakthrough, but they never deal with the spiritual root.
If disobedience contributed to your situation, ask God to forgive you.
He’s not standing over you with condemnation—
He’s standing beside you with mercy.
Forgiveness doesn’t erase the journey ahead…
but it resets the starting point.
3️⃣ Do you trust God to deliver you?
Financial stress can hang over your head like a storm cloud that never moves.
It affects your mood, your sleep, your confidence, your relationships, even your faith.
But here is the truth:
God cannot restore what you’re still trying to control.
Trust Him with your money, your habits, your discipline, and your future.
Let Him build order where chaos once lived.
The Process God Uses
Let me spell it out as I’ve learned it:
✔️ Forgiveness — Step 1
Let God clean the slate.
✔️ Submission — Step 2
Your finances cannot serve two masters.
Choose obedience over impulse.
✔️ Healing — Step 3
God will heal the root, not just the symptoms.
✔️ Restoration — Step 4
And when God restores…
be wise.
Pay your tithes.
Give offerings to biblically aligned ministries.
Support organizations that bear the fruits of true Kingdom work.
Where you sow determines what grows.
A Final Word of Wisdom
Don’t rush God.
Don’t rush yourself.
God erects His “flag of order” in your life over time—
not because He is slow,
but because your will, your heart, and your habits must be reshaped.
While you wait:
Be prayerful.
Be persistent.
Be obedient.
Be faithful.
Be patient.
Because financial restoration isn’t just about money—
it’s about the transformation of your mind, stewardship, priorities, and trust.
God wants to help you.
Let Him.
